I just did this! There’s a way to not get it on your skin! You don’t have to put your nail right in the middle of the polish puddle. I did it at an extreme angle and the very edge of the polish puddle, so no gel on my skin or underneath the nail 🎉 I might make a short showing how because describing it through text sounds confusing haha
Yep - you could. It would help. But it’s literally up under my nail and super hard to get liquid latex under there and even harder to get the latex out from under there.
I love using this method. I wear longer nails than you show in this video so getting anything on my skin is a non-issue. I think the angle the nail is placed into the polish makes a huge difference. I absolutely LOVE this technique.
I saw this with marbled polish and my mind was blown! I can only imagine the amazing color tips that can be done with acrylic paints and the upcoming holidays!
Thank you for filming this and trying the different options and I’m glad to see it didn’t damage the stamper . I have quite a few stampers so I’m going to have to give this a try. I’m envisioning all different color combinations ❤️
I love wearing French but couldn't do it on myself...till now! This worked! I followed along with you and voila! I did my own beautiful French! Thanks a million Marla!
I love using good ol acrylic paint for most of my nail art too! Unlike gel, it’s water based and won’t harm your skin. I can create ombré effects so much easier with acrylic than when I try working with gel. I just love acrylic paint. I’m so glad you used it for this TikTok trend! 😁👍🤩
You are brilliant! As an artist, I have acrylics in so many colors. I’m definitely trying this today. Gonna marble the edges. Thank you so much for sharing this ❤️
I had the same results, I am so glad you posted this video, I thought it was just me that had bad results. The results were better with longer nails, but it was still all over the underneath of the nail free edge.

Thank you, I just bought a stamper because I wanted to do French tip but didn’t have the special nail polish. I do have acrylic though so I’m excited to try.

I am so glad you did this video! I saw this hack on tiktok. I forgot the name of the bottle, I tried silicone bottle top, no not it. Then I retyped French nail hack and there you were! Thanks for doing this demo.
I love this idea! I’ve seen the stamper technique everywhere lately, but not using acrylic paint. I agree that cleaning up with acetone is not good for your skin and nails. This is brilliant!💕 I have seen that your nail can puncture the stamper though, so you might want to have a stamper dedicated to French nails.
I have been so hesitant about French dip manis. SCARED is more like it. I have seen some of the best get frustrated and give up. I am going to try this hack. It will be my first french....wishe me luck and thank you for taking this challenge on. Your are the best!🧡🧡🧡
Happy Saturday Marla. That French looks amazing. Thank you for the bonus Saturday video & hanging out with us weirdo’s.. have a safe blessed weekend girly ❤️🥰
I was so afraid you were going to pop your stamper! 🙈 I love how this turned out!! 😍 It’s absolutely perfect!! 🙌🏻 I’m gonna have to try this. Tysmfs! 😃
Me, too. I was holding my breath and screaming in my head, "nooooo!!! 😱 Not the Clear Jelly!!!! It was like when you're watching a horror movie and yelling at the girl that the killer is right behind them, and then sighing in relief when the stamper survives with no punctures. *aaaaahhh sigh****. 😂
Thank you Marla for trying this and letting us know which trick is best to use! I'm gonna try to maybe only paint the top of my stamper so it doesn't get under my nails, along with liquid latex for the sidewalls🤞☺️
Thank you for showing this!! I have been seeing it all week and wondered if it worked as good as it looked .Trying it out today and using acrylic paint for sure you gave me that tip awhile ago and I definitely find it much easier to use when doing any nail art.
I was so excited to try this. I have tried every other French method with no luck. My first hand was beautiful. I used gel polish and gel top coat. When working on my second hand, hand number one just peeled right off. I could remove all the white with my finger nail. So bummed out. Any suggestions with why I might have had an incompatibility with the gel products and the acrylic paint? I didn't think anything could get away from a gel topcoat since God knows we spend enough time trying to soak and grind the stuff off. Wonder if regular nail enamel would work better but it always chips so easily. Your thoughts are appreciated.
I love this video so much. I could never stamp it right, and it was always such a chore to take all the nail polish off before trying to stamp the tips again - and failing 😂 I recently bought some acrylic paints to do nail stickers and now I know I can use it to do french nails too!! So thank you for this awesome vid 💕💅
Thanks so much!! And yes.. you may have to swipe the paint on the stamper a few times to get a nice, even surface. Keep swiping until the bubbles and separation stops
Holy cow this is awesome!!! Thank you for doing a tutorial on this method & explaining how to with different types of nail products (dip, gel, gel topcoat, dip topcoat). 😁
How do you use acryloc paint on nails without dipping first? My polish is peeling sooo fast applying acrylic paint to my natural nail then applying a gel top coat.
Hi wanted to ask how does acrylic paint get removed then if clients what it off and if they cant use gel polish topcaot can i topcoat using normal clear topcoat instead . Thank you
I use this technique and only get a tiny bit of polish on my skin. Your pushing in too hard and you need to start pushing your nail in on the stamper at the spot where the polish starts, it works great
Just used my stamper. Left hand came out great right no so great. My questio are you suppose to go into stamper at 45 degree angle or straight in? Thanksn.
Yessssss! I have been waiting for you to do this video! I totally want to try this with some really pretty metallic teal paint that I have. This may be my next mani 🤗
Oml you are the only one i know who talked about gel allergy. Weird thing, i had developed it last year. Just last week i decided to do a skin patch to see if i still have it and nothing happened. After i used it on my nails as well and I’m surprisingly okay (touch wood). But absolutely love the idea of acrylic paint
I tried this technique today using the same paint you used. I used CND vinylux top coat. I can't wait to see how durable the products are together. Either way, the technique is brilliantly easy. Clean up is a breeze... soap and water.. easy peasy.
I tried this with the white acrylic paint and it turned out beautiful. I topped it with Gelish gel topcoat but after washing my hands a few times the white started to wear off very quickly. I even used the same brand acrylic paint you did. What did I do wrong?

Would you say it would be better to do a French nail service on clients using this acrylic paint? Or would some people have allergies to it? Also how long would you wait for the acrylic paint to dry before you can add gel top coat?
I’m not a nail tech nor am I a chemist.. but personally, I’d feel safer using acrylic paint on others as opposed to gel Polish which is known to cause significant allergies. Marla, LOVE this French technique and using acrylic paint. But how do you keep the acrylic from pulling up on the outer edge of the nail? I cover the paint with clear nailtiques polish, go along the tip edge and even drag behind the nails in an effort to anchor the paint. Invariably, even with two or three coats they have rough edges or are pulling away by the following day. Any ideas??? Do you have a recommendation for a polish that will seal everything up for a solid week?
@@MarlaKris Trying to stay clear of gels and the hassle of soaking them off, just want a quick process I can remove with polish remover. Already, the acrylic paint is a little effortful to remove. Normal polish suggestions?
I have the stuff that you can put all around your on your fingernail that is latex based that you can pull off when your done. It would work great for this!!!
Ok the suggestion I had has already been said so I guess I’m going to go find some acrylic paint and a soft stamper thx for the hack. Also good to know you can dip a top coat tfs going to try the multicolor acrylic paints and get the stamper you used on Amazon thx 🙏🏾 wish me luck
The top coat gel that I have is Gelish brand, which comes with the primer, foundation with the top coat. Would I have to use the others first or do you know if Gelish top coat will cure without the first product steps over the acrylic tips you applied?
The top coat will cure BUT gel doesn’t stick well to a smooth surface, so the primer or the foundation helps to prevent the gel top from peeling off after a couple days ❤️
i'm going to need to try this! i'm curious what you use to cleanup the gel polish from your skin...any recommendations? whenever i get gel polish on my skin, i end up using water but it never goes away :/

That’s what I said. Start at the very edge of the color.
Just a thought but you could put liquid latex around your nail so all you have to do is pull it off. But they look beautiful
Yep - you could. It would help. But it’s literally up under my nail and super hard to get liquid latex under there and even harder to get the latex out from under there.
Marla HATESSSSSS liquid latex 🤣🤣
@@thevictoriagoogin and that 😂🤣😂
