I'm about to attempt it soon, and I've been watching countless tutorials for it. Your video is by far the favourite I've seen! I've just subscribed ❤ You're informative, your skill and taste in nail art is so beautiful, and your voice and way of speaking are so relaxing! (Oh and the overall production of your vid was so well done, beautiful, and enjoyable.) I'm so looking forward to watching more of your videos! ❤💅🏽✨
Here I am thinking solid builder gel nails were fast. Then I saw you do the overlay method. Girl!? Thank you. I just completed my full set. I love them.❤❤❤
This is by far the best tutorial for gel x that i have ever seen.. you really went in and paid attention to all the details. Thank you so much for this.. and i will definitely be following this tutorial when i do my nails this afternoon!!!! ❤❤
I’m about to do the overlay method for the first time for my Christmas nails. After watching your steps for like 100 times I’m feeling pretty confident 😄 thanks! Also LOVED your tortoise set, did they keep up well using the peel off base?
You’re so good! I followed your tut for beginner gel x and it made my application sooo much better. I’ll do this one too and you made me try stiletto nails, they look soo nice on you
So pretty! I’m trying to make my last set last as long as I can stand it because soon it’ll be time for Christmas nails. Girl, I need new inspiration. Hope you’re ready with some holiday sets. 😉
I must be really old, this used to be called press on nails. I certainly love the new method. Your nails are so beautiful and yout natural nails look very healthy. I can never use press on nails without pulling layers of my natural nail. Thank you for sharing, this is so amazing. ❤
Yes but press ons don't usually last very long and are made of plastic. These tips are made of soft gel which is more durable! It's really a neat new technique to do and they last 3 plus weeks when applied correctly with the extend gel underneath to adhere them :)
@@unsaintedbeautythis is a different process of press on. You can create press one with these full tips. But press ones were never glued down with gel…it was held down with nail glue. Nail glue is a more temporary
girl it’s like I did nothing when it comes off. There’s no trace of glue or extension lol just clean nails. I’m about. to try builder gel only at this point.
I tried using gel glue once for my extensions and I did it wrong. This video pointed out to me what I did wrong immediately even though it probably wasn't your intention 😂 (I did not do an initial layer of gel glue and cure before gluing down the extension) I am pretty sure I need a stronger lamp also. What lamp wattage would you recommend for builder gel and would it be the same for polygel? Also, this is a gorgeous set 😍
You’re totally right on the initial gel glue layer and it’s tricky! I personally prefer a 48 watt lamp minimum🥰 the other thing is, some brands of builder and poly gels will have 2 minute curing times. Usually listed on the back out the bottle or on their website.
These were actually the Apres Sculpted Stiletto Long. For flatter nail beds I do recommend the Apres Natural Styles or Una Gella on Amazon. Have you tried any of those?
Just had my first set done today. The tech left some excess glue on the back- is that normal? I've looked at a few videos and no one seems to address anything on the underside of the nail.
I wasn't done creating content with that set, so I kept the other hand on for a few more days. Small amounts of acetone won't affect the gel nails so I wasn't too worried about them ☺️
Hi y’all ❤ Have you tried the overlay method yet?
@@ariiana.nicole It's looks like adding tips but this looks more friendly more like acrylic. 🙏🏿👋🏿👏🏿❤️❤️❤️
Yep. Did my last set like that.
Yes it was a lil chaotic doing so. But well worth it. The first time I had a set last so long (2 weeks)😅
I'm about to attempt it soon, and I've been watching countless tutorials for it. Your video is by far the favourite I've seen! I've just subscribed ❤

Are you using regular rubbing alcohol? Is it also diluted with water?
You are single handedly forcing me to try new things
Literally this!!
That makes me soo happy 🥹☺️
I just found you today. I love your videos. You are so talented! Makes me want to try these.
Here I am thinking solid builder gel nails were fast. Then I saw you do the overlay method. Girl!? Thank you. I just completed my full set. I love them.❤❤❤
I love this set, and I'm definitely making my own secret removal oil, lol. It's such a good idea to mix it with acetone. 💜
I love it since it's a less drying than acetone alone
The beautiful nails, the quality of the video, the clear and concise explanations, AND the soothing voice 😍 I have no option but to sub right away
Welcome! So glad to have you ♥
I love doing overlays on my real nail before I do any gel design and it's a game changer; my retention is about 5 weeks!
I agree, overlays are a game changer for retention! 🎉
Your natural nails are beautiful! Thank you for this tutorial. God bless you!😊
I appreciate you! ❤️
This is by far the best tutorial for gel x that i have ever seen.. you really went in and paid attention to all the details. Thank you so much for this.. and i will definitely be following this tutorial when i do my nails this afternoon!!!! ❤❤
Come back and share how they turn out! 😊

I’m so glad! It’s my favorite method, and I think you’ll love the results! 💖
The tortoise nails stayed on pretty well with the peel off base too ❤️

Beautiful as usual. I'm so glad you showed removal because I've been wanting to see how that's done.

What glue do you recommend? Mine start popping off in a couple of days 😕
definitely trying this on my next set!
I soooo ❤❤❤❤❤ this. New sub here. Very pretty.
Hi ! Thank you for subscribing♥
So gorj! 💕
When do you put the peel layer? 😊
Amazing video!
Love it!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So pretty
Thank you!💕
This is beautiful! ❤
Thank you so much! 💕
This was Amazing Thanks!
I'm so glad you liked it! 💕
Beautiful
Can you use the builder gel for a fill? I’m new to this so I’m wondering how to not have to do a brand new set every time
Great tips
So glad you liked them!
If they have a curve set I’ll try it
What peel off base do you use ?
These look beautiful! Which peel off base do you use and do you apply it on the whole nail or just in the middle? Would love a tutorial on this! 😍🥰
I have an upcoming video on peel off base coats. I'll come back to this comment and share the link when it's live ❤️❤️
@@ariiana.nicole thank you so much!!
How long will they last with the peel off base coat?
No more than 2 weeks, but it depends on the brand
@@ariiana.nicolethank you!!
I love your videos! What light do you use? I can’t find the right light for my at home nail desk, would appreciate any recs 🫶🏻
I use a no name led light I found on Amazon? I think, but I do wish it was brighter so I don't necessarily recommend it
I love this ❤ what oil is this😮
Half marula oil half acetone
Lovely ❤
Thank you for watching ❤️❤️
So cute & simple!! I wish mine lasted longer than a couple days with all the work for cuticle care 😅😅😅
Oh nooo. When they pop off is there glue left on your natural nail or does the glue come off with the extension?
girl it’s like I did nothing when it comes off. There’s no trace of glue or extension lol just clean nails. I’m about. to try builder gel only at this point.
May I ask what is the peel off base coat you used? ❤️🥰
Yes! This time I tried the Makartt Peel Off Base Coat from Amazon😊
How long to they last with the peel off base coat underneath?
Depends on the brand. Some last a couple of days others can last close to two weeks 💕
Great job. What is the purpose of builder gel?
It's thick so it can fill the gap and it adds some strength to the extension as well 💕
Q: 1:58-2:05
Q1: Where are you purchasing this cuticle remover, please (my absolute favorite)!
Thank you!
A local nail supply store but they also sell on Amazon as well ❤️
@@ariiana.nicole
Thank you.
CosmoProf used to carry, but I'm not sure if they sell this one anymore.
I love it!
Thank you so much!
Have you used the oil mixture to remove press Ons? The the oil save the nail ? I’m so curious
Yes I have, but I always have better luck getting press on nails off soaking in a mixture of dish soap, oil and warm water
Where do you buy the Blue Cross cuticle softener?
Amazon😊
Please what is name of the oil
Who needs to go to the salon ha do it urself😊
They turned out so pretty. So is the idea of the overlay method to help keep your nails on longer ?
Yep! The overlay helps with that and it makes them look much more natural in my opinion ❤️
I tried using gel glue once for my extensions and I did it wrong. This video pointed out to me what I did wrong immediately even though it probably wasn't your intention 😂 (I did not do an initial layer of gel glue and cure before gluing down the extension)
I am pretty sure I need a stronger lamp also. What lamp wattage would you recommend for builder gel and would it be the same for polygel?

The peel off base would work if I apply it as a base for the gel polish? So I won't have to do a new set and just fill in?
Yes it does ❤️ I've done this a few times ❤️
What brand of tips do you use? I found the gel x ones have way too much of an apex..
These were actually the Apres Sculpted Stiletto Long. For flatter nail beds I do recommend the Apres Natural Styles or Una Gella on Amazon. Have you tried any of those?
Whats the name of the brush on glue?
To Apply I used both the Mia's Secret Nail Gel Glue (from Amazon) and The Yogo Zombie Base Gel (from SweetieNailSupply)
Interesting that no any filling involved!! Can i do this without the flash cure lamp?
You can turn your big lamp on its side, but it's much easier with a flash curing lamp ❤️
@@ariiana.nicole THANK YOU FOR THE ADVISE :)
@@ariiana.nicole ALSO i noticed that you do not file the surface of the gel nail , it is shiny and i know that when its shiny it dosent stick. :/ ??
Does this technique work with polygel instead of using builder gel ? 🤔
I haven't tried it with poly gel just yet. So I'm not too sure 😞
Just had my first set done today. The tech left some excess glue on the back- is that normal? I've looked at a few videos and no one seems to address anything on the underside of the nail.
Bom dia ! Qual nome do produto pra remover a unha?
Hello! It's a homemade mixture of 50% acetone and 50% Marula Oil. It can only be used to remove a peel off base coat
By gel glue do you mean the gel builder? Or is it the same thing. I’m so confused after all the videos I’ve watched lol
Gel glue is what was used to attach the nails, builder was used to overlay the nails☺️
Has anyone used builder gel with tips instead of full coverage nails??
I haven't tried it myself just yet, but I have seen it done before☺️
❤❤❤😊
🥰🥰🥰🥰🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Why didnt you remove your right hand nails before starting ? I will not like to handle acetone again after mew nails on
I wasn't done creating content with that set, so I kept the other hand on for a few more days. Small amounts of acetone won't affect the gel nails so I wasn't too worried about them ☺️
This is nail porn. I loooooove 🔥
What grit are the sanding bands you're using? I love this method.
180 😊
@@ariiana.nicole Thank you! ☺
absolutely gorgeous loving it❤❤
