A new Pantera album is a step too far. If they insist on releasing a nnvew album then they can finish up Dime & Vinnies 5 tracks for Damageplan 2 as Damageplan was going to break up and the brothers would have given those tracks to the guys anyway. I'm hopeful Zakk holds true to his word and refuses to participate in releasing new material under the bands name.
Right, I agree. Zakk is more of a blues/hard rock guitarist he is not a metal guitarist like Dime. It would just sound strange in my opinion. I think they should just re-record 20 classic Pantera songs and release a tribute CD for the Abbott's.
Phillip Hanson Anselmo write all the song lyrics and a lot of the riffs, so if you don’t like it go listen to the garbage they made and write before he joined the band.

Vin was totally against anything called Pantera after his brother's murder & Dime always stuck with his brother so it's likely he would have been against this thing also if Vin got murdered in front of him. Change the name & there's no problem.
