Anyone got one of these to work with Android? Looks like the Pioneer App Radio is ancient and won't work anymore. Also, anyone using a camera with this?
Hello, I have a Pioneer MVH-130-DAB, now I have heard that I can manually set the frequency on the DAB function, how can I do this. Can you explain this to me? I would like to hear a response back:
Fine r/v Mark! Lots of good sensible info here and of course the 'go to' recommendation made the decision easier. One thing more pls. Q I plan to install a reversing camera. I can image it on here yes? How's that done ?
Thanks Mike, it does support reversing cameras (haven’t installed one on mine yet) hopefully this will help www.pioneer.com.au/knowledge-hub/help-support/how-to-set-up-my-reverse-camera/
If you get the right steering wheel adapter cable from Connects2 for your car then yes. I can control volume and skip songs in my Picanto using steering wheel controls
I’ve never had an issue in bright sunshine, the only time I’ve had a slight issue is when I’ve needed to have headlights on in the day which dims the screen…it’s still readable at that point but would be better brighter
Thanks, very interesting. The camera on mine was working when I bought the car but suddenly stopped working, the Parking Assist Guide yellow lines come on when I select reverse but the camera doesn't come on! Also how do I store radio stations in the memories? I just cannot get it to work and the manual is of no benefit!
I haven’t stored any radio stations but will have a play around tomorrow and see if I can work it out. Have you checked if your camera cable has come loose at the back?
@@MarksTechVlogs Thanks for reply, appreciated. Checked and it looks ok. Have no keys to remove set to check if the front plug has come out! Any tips as to what else will release it?
Hi Mark! I have this in my Vauxhall Corsa and I'm trying to find a video on how to remove the screen from the car as I'm moving it to a new car. Would you have a video on this or any advice? Thank you!
Hey, it’s going to depend how it was fitted. The best starting point for you is probably to find a tutorial of how to install one in a Corsa and work backwards from that…so you’ll either find you need release tools to remove it from the cage or you’ll need to remove some of the interior fascia from your car.
I don’t know huge amounts about comparability but as long as you have space for a double din connector and can get the stereo wiring adapters then you should be able to use it with one
Ah yeah, there is on the smart cars but you can’t actually connect a third party radio to them without an external kit. Connects2 do sell some but having used one on my picanto they are very fiddly to fit! (I don’t actually have my smart anymore…it was terribly unreliable so now have this stereo in my Picanto)
@@kevinmitchell4960 I think this one on amazon is probably what you need then geni.us/PcwqQu - The only thing it won't do is retain the USB/Aux. The kit for the USB is another £50...and is a bit of a faff to install! This is the USB kit if you're interested ebay.us/zLL5xC
Pick one up here: geni.us/wk8JR1B
Shop for Stereo Cable Adapters: geni.us/CeIg
Thanks Mark, we’re going to upgrade and try it.

I’m afraid I’m not sure, the best thing to do is grab the manual from the pioneer website
@@MarksTechVlogs I have done that. Only it's not there

Can I link this to my steering wheel to control volume/skip songs etc?

does it have 4v preouts?
Could you tell me how the viewability of the screen is? We have a SPH-DA120 and the screen is barely readable when the sun shines.

Thanks for the video.
I have a question though. Does the DAB radio display the artist and song title for all stations?
I’m afraid my car doesn’t have DAB so I can’t check this
Hi guys, I’m having some trouble setting up Apple CarPlay with this, anyone able to help?
What have you tried so far?

Hi, thank you for the review. Does TH-cam work on this or video in motion?
TH-cam doesn’t, not sure about video in motion
Is this stereo compatible with a 2010 mk6 Golf?

Isn't there a usb port in the glove box?
It depends on the car
@@MarksTechVlogs my work smart car 2013 has one in the glove box, just wondered why you didn't mention it.

its fuuny how a cd makes it feel old fashioned but not tha paper booklet
Very true...I guess it's because 99% of things still come with paper manuals
Did your car have the rear reverse camera?
It didn’t
Hi Mark any advice on a good supplier for a fascia?
What car do you have?

What adapter do i need to make the carplay wireless
I’ve not tried it but I think something like this should work amzn.to/3YFO6hC
Is it Pioneer or Panasonic, I`m confused?
100% Pioneer, the link is in the description 😀
@@MarksTechVlogs 7:35 you call it a Panasonic radio, maybe that is why it is confusing
I do…slip of the tongue 🤦♂️
Controls on left ....... I image that's because it for the left hand car market rather than UK market ???????
Possibly…I think they’re better on the left as they’re less obscured by the steering wheel. You can change the side of the CarPlay buttons
Hey, great video but just remember it’s a Pioneer not a Panasonic 😂
Easy mistake to make
I know 😂 I tried to caption it when it said it in the video but a few slipped through!
