Recommending the boss makes me question the value of all your Recommendations. I've experienced two of boss products and both sucked. One was in the trash in three months and the other only comes.on half the time.
@5w0x94 It can and will have a big impact on sound quality. They are all computers, the better the processing power, the better it'll sound. Not to mention audio settings.
Speakers are what gives us our music and sound. A head unit can only do so much. I believe what they are trying to say is that a head unit will not make crappy speakers sound good. Crappy speakers are exactly that, crappy. You cannot throw money at one thing and expect it to magically be better.
Sorry to say, but most of the leading brands discussed here have got full Android-based OS running the system. This means you have all the features of a phone on your dashboard for less than 150 USD. It comes with Google Maps, WhatsApp, TH-cam and all other apps in the Google App Store including Netflix.

I'm really sad to be watching this video. The USB in my civic only works for thumb drives and iPods because my car's so old I have scratches in the paint from a T-Rex, and the only other input is AUX since it has no bluetooth capability. Problem is, I need a new phone and nothing worthwhile has an AUX port anymore. I can't get a 3.5mm audio jack to USB-C adapter because I *NEED* to be able to simultaneously charge my phone AND play media (absolutely non negotiable). There are splitter adapters which allow for this, as they have a 3.5mm to USB-C and a USB-C extention combined, but they're so low quality they're not worth it at all (I've bought 3 to test in preparation and all sucked). Bluetooth radio adapters are terrible, and the null station randomly picking up traffic from anywhere other than my phone is both infuriating and unacceptable. So here I am, preparing to piss more money down the drain so that I can simultaneously navigate, play music, and charge my phone while driving - because some idiots at the fruit company in America made a dumb decision and some other idiots in Korea agreed with them.
I play guitar and have a boss katana amp and had the same issue charging and being able to connect to the amp. However I am not sure if they have the 3.5 connection you need. You might be able to rig one up though. Look up OTG USB (C to C or A to C) Cable. I hope this helps you bud! About 2 years ago when I got the amp, it took me about 2 hours to find this cable because no one talked about it or mentioned it on any forums at the time. Good luck bud!

I got that boss and it absolutely sucks. No bass, bad squeeky music quality. And its display is weak, and has glitches

Boss is what you put in a work truck that you dont care if it gets stolen or care how it sounds. Definitely shouldn't be on a top 3 list

Boss is a very cheap low quality stereo. Mine shuts off randomly, weezes when driving no bass not a good choice
