    Loving the information from the inside. Breaking down the way a tour works out. Key information on how to plan out your way to get set for a tour Q-School. Everything from understanding the expenses and also the best suited plan for what you do in order to prep for not only the course but, the mindset for the upcoming events. Really, loving your channel from the inside. Best of luck to you.

    Awesome video. Q-school and the progression is a complicated process these days. Explaining it isn’t easy. I get lots of questions from young pros about it. In my day it was much easier, I must say.
    I know you’re going to it hell and everything you have. You have to do Q-School, US Open Qualifying. Stick to your plan and you’ll do great. 👍👍

    Always wanted to be that journeyman who bounces around mini tours, begs steals and borrows just to get to q school. After several tries, finally getting my card only then do I have to struggle to make Monday qualifiers. Getting that last spot on Monday qualifiers to maybe, just maybe sneaking in to make the weekend and finishing barely enough to cover expenses home. Aahh the nomadic lifestyle.

      You should always be able to move it both ways if you just, but having a ‘go to’ shot under pressure is key. I want to see a fade when I’m playing my best golf.

    • @andrewjensengolf
      @andrewjensengolf  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you only saw the full thing. Capturing that b roll doesn’t take much time at all.
      I’ve been doing it for nearly a year now, and have figured out how to film without it interfering my practice. Filming the confessional style things is easy too. Everyone takes breaks, I use those breaks to film those segments.

    I have been playing for 2 years and 3 months ...I played my first tournament ever 3 months ago and won with a score of 88 with 18 handicap cause it was my first time playing a tourney and most of the players were 10 handicap and under with 2 scratch players.....and now since they saw my game ...they put my handicap at 12 .... I shot my best 78 about a month ago ..I had a -1 thru 9 with one bogey and 2 birdies and all pars..... I am so addicted to this sport ..its all I can think about ...I caught up and passed my friend who has 8 years experience on me and he is pretty good ....lately I been playing in the 85 and under constantly ....every once in a while I might shoot 90 and up but for most part I have been improving drastically with no professional training just youtube videos but mostly playing at the course ...people tell me I'm a long hitter cause I can hit my pitching wedge 160 easily and accurately and I play with standard beginner set and just learning about technology in golf and that with better golf set I will decrease my strokes even more ...Im really considering this but I dont want to get ahead of my self just cause Im playing good on local golf courses.. ... what do you think is the best approach to see where Im really at and how far I need to go to be a golf pro ?

    • @itswanker1280
      @itswanker1280 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are so many paths to be a pro, I’m 18 years old and when I was 16 my parents got me into the pre qualifying for Q School. I was only a 3 handicap at the time and I ended up making the cut at like +2. I actually ended up making it to the 3rd round but on the last day I shot a 75 to miss the cut by 2. I suggest get yourself a coach, I’m self taught myself and I’ve been playing for 4 years but the best way for me to get better was to not hit balls all day on a driving range but go out and play a round and then work on what you struggled with and just dial in everything else to keep the flow going. Honestly there are so many pro tours that are a possibility. Do some research. Look at the Mackenzie Tour, Asain tour, web.com, Monday qualifiers are a one day tournament that gives like 2-4 golfers a chance to play in a pga event.

    • @itswanker1280
      @itswanker1280 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      YAYarea 510 consistency is very important. Once you are able to shoot below par on a good solid round and make little mistakes with more pars and less bogeys, aim for the smart spots on greens. Don’t flag hunt golf is a game of patience. The only flags I go for are front middle, middle middle, or back middle. Anywhere else and your miss or putt becomes longer. Always think about where your miss will end up so you don’t have a tough second shot. Golf is so mental , when you’re putting pick a line and don’t change it. Trust the line you pick and choose a pace that you feel is good. Make sure your eyes are directly over the ball while you’re putting as well. All these tips are what I have put into my game and they have drastically changed the way I have been able to play. I went from being 14 shooting 100 everyday with a 20 handicap to 15 shooting mid 80s, 2 years later and I’m shooting high 60’s low 70’s. trust me you need confidence to play this sport, be confident in everything you do and it will be so much easier.
