Luke Kwon Golf can you believe that after watching your channel and a brief chat with yourself I’m back playing again? My handicap is now down at 4. I started in Jan playing off 12. And I have a hoard of equipment haha. The best club being a Sonartec 3 wood at 13 degrees, it goes so low and hard. Not those silly distances you were getting haha. Really glad you’re doing well brother.

Sublime work dude, so happy for you. Thought I'd make a quick note about the audio - sorry for being unsolicited! The volume of the music vs the volume in the parts you were talking were drastically different, I had to keep adjusting my volume during the video. The talking parts were way too quiet, and that's what I wanted to listen to :) If you just adjusted the audio track ever so slightly to level things out it'd be the perfect video. Really enjoyed it though!

As soon as you said you played in Taupo, I wondered if you played Kinloch GC. I just recently played that awesome Jack Nicklaus course on a vacation. Did you like it? Great footage. Also, did you try the Taupo hole in one challenge on Lake Taupo. It’s a local novelty.
Loved it! We played it from the back boxes every hole and that definitely makes it a big boy golf course. We also played Wairakei which is another great course in Taupo as well. Yep I did try the hole in one challenge! I actually remember doing it as a 7yr old kid when I used to live in NZ waaaay back

Hey Luke, I’m curious why so many of your events are just one or two rounds. Are they most qualifiers for bigger events?
Keep up the good work! We’re at the same place in our golf careers, playing a ton of mini tour stuff. Hopefully we’ll both be on the big tour soon!
These were just the NZPGA events which are pro ams. Much smaller events and also smaller payout but good for me to get competitive before the events in China. Theres alot of pro events that aren’t 4 day events for example the Gpro tour and Swingthought tour 👍

03:55 So, what does the purse look like as a pro in the US vs NZ and China for ex?
Depends alot on which tour you're on but on the adams tour the purses were around 125k USD, the NZ tournaments are just pro ams so the purses were tiny. Either 8k or 20k USD purses depending on if it's a one day or two day event. PGATour china is about 140k USD purse

You make some crazy good videos, imagine if you spent 50% of your time focused on TH-cam and making a real business from it, maybe make your own trained aid, book, clothing line, head covers, merch ext ext. and went hard w making your channel the 1# golf TH-cam channel/ brand and growing your channel an medias and getting sponsorship on every video idk I just think bout that kind of stuff cause u could really do it. Imagine how much money you could make! An when u do get on PGA tour witch u probably will Maybe take u couple extra years doin this you already got your own brand and 100,000 of fans an you'd be like the first internet famous golfer. I think it possible an having like a success business making you passion income everyday would have to take some of the pressure off while playing professional golfer like just knowing your making good money no matter how your playing.
Thanks Jax! Yeah I get ya but I’m way more focused on being known as a golfer first and foremost and it’s not even close. TH-cam just helps me find the means to be able to do so. Yes the extra money would definitely be nice but all that extra effort I would put into youtube and business would take away time I can put into my golf and that goes directly against what I’m trying to do in the first place. I’ll definitely keep slowly building my youtube/brand but not at the expense of my golf career 👍
