@@chiaragervasio5189 I don't even know if that's it. Home Alone 1 felt very "preachy" to me too at times, but my whole family and I still loved every minute of it. When I say "preachy" I'm referring to him learning a lesson about missing/loving/needing his mom and his family after all. And the mom and his family learn a similar lesson regarding him. They literally had him wish his family away, and his mom warning him that it might actually come true. That part alone felt very similar to the start of a lot of moralistic fairytales you hear as a kid. It was still an awesome family movie, and better yet that part actually added to the movie feeling more heartfelt. Same thing goes for (family) sitcoms btw. There are so many good ones from a few decades ago. I genuinely can't name a single seriously good one in the same type of genre from the last 10 years. Genuinely don't know why movies and tv haven't been doing so good. The 90s stuff I loved still had lots of the "preachy" stuff, especially the sitcoms (think of Fresh Prince). But it just isn't the same now. It feels annoying, unnecessary, artificial, or plain stupid in a lot of the stuff they try to put it in now. Don't know why.

“A married couple try to keep from losing their house well being physically and psychologically tortured by a 11yr with daddy issues”
This video was an excellent blend of Movie Commentary Monday, Until I hate myself and Late Night Dylan.. There is something so entertaining about Dylan going absolutely crazy
I thought the same, it would have been better with more Buzz and they could have done something more with the fact that the Home Alarm System was made by the security company that Kevin started... Like having it go haywire and get at least a voice over from Mac
PLEASE AT 25:30
“If we had known you were staying here on your own, we probably would’ve handled things a lot differently.”
Dylan: “YeAh We PrObAbLy WoUlD’vE kIlLeD yOu.”
Dylan wearing rings makes me want to see him dress up as Hook from Once Upon a Time.
another name for this video: Dylan hating on disney plus’s space bar controls for 30 minutes straight
“… that’s he’s a failure. as a father and a man” PLEASE THE WAY I LAUGHED SO FUCKING HARD DYLAN
this is why Dylan is smart business-wise. he capitalizes on us watching his videos abt the films we wouldn't watch but are still curious abt and we wouldn't have it any other way!
also thank you for teaching me about toggling fullscreen with the F button wtf 😂
This video made my day!! Watching Dylan’s descent into madness over the spacebar and how bad the movie is is my absolute favorite thing!!
this is even more funny to me bc ‘the british mum’ is played by aisling bea who is notoriously irish so her fake accent has me dying 😭😭
Why did they actually make me sympathize with the "villains" and make me hate the kid. Cause they had a good reason for doing what they did😭😭
Ah, just what I needed to procrastinate studying for finals
Saaammme

Going through a lot recently and I’ve been binging literally all your videos. Just want to thank you for bringing so much laughter and joy during this dark time. ♥️
The only thing I've learned from all these remakes and sequels is how wonderful movies used to be and less and less hope that they'll get back to their former glory.
I think it's because they used to be about entertainment. Now they are just about doing the least effort to lecture people and "correct the wrongs"
@@chiaragervasio5189 Very true! I was just thinking today how preachy it all is. There’s a way to get your point across without being preachy, and it feels like they don’t know any other way except in your face. Look, we’re just here to have fun, take a load off after a hard week of work, not be lectured to about how we’re not doing enough.
Film seemed rubbish but you still made this thoroughly entertaining, even though I'm British I still love you. Also I'm not one of those people who'd write a nasty comment afterwards as being one of your fans, I know what I signed up for to watch this. I always look forward to your posts as I know you're gonna have me in stich's laughing. It doesn't matter what the genre is, I just appreciate your eye for film-making and calling things out when they need it. That and your sense of humour and use of innuendo's always cheers me up.
Alternative title: dylan wishing the worst upon a child for 28 minutes
Now that Dylan has Disney+ it’s only a matter of time before he watches Hamilton and I CANT WAIT
When he said "He stole the show but in a bad way." I cackled like a mad woman 😭✋
Dylan playing with his spacebar was adorable🥺
they should've just mailed him back to his parents and said "here's ur howler"
one of the best things about the first home alone movies is that the audience is also able to root for kevin but with this one they tried to be smart and humanize the “villains”. it annoys me so much
his eyes literally light up when he sees violence, he seriously enjoys it
"For a white kid? I think he'd be fine" 😭
Disney: *has the balls to remake classics for eightcyears, but has meta jokes about remaking classic movies.*
dylan getting annoyed with the space bar thing is so relatable, i feel his pain
Dylan: “I could be this guy…”
Me: Nooo Dylan, your jokes are way better than his.
Dylan playing with the keyboard was more enjoyable than the actual movie
Pretty sure you have to only hit the spacebar once if the timeline and pause/play buttons are on the screen. If they're not on the screen, hitting the spacebar once will first put them on the screen so you know where you're at in the movie, and then you must hit it another time to pause it.
I think this's one of the angriest videos of Dylan. His hand couldn't actually stop from trying to hot someone.
Home alone is just one of those movies that you just don’t even think about recreating.
"It is a brutal 76 degrees".... "Frigid"
Woke up to 32 degrees this morning in CT. Don't mock our pain, Dylan.
I'm from the UK and now I've just given up trying work out what the temperature is in Celsius whenever an American complains about the weather...wait... aren't we meant to be doing that lol
I love how when I was reading this “CT” in my mind translated to Kentucky
It’s even worse when I tell you I work at kfc
@@isabellerobey Its's around 24°c lmaoo he has no right to complain
@@sy6282 LMAO RIGHT we be freezing in our 0 to -20s and americans are like "brr its so cold" in summer time weather
@@isabellerobey lmao. 32F is 0C
I loved this movie. I’m not a fan of Christmas movies usually, and I never liked the original, so I got to watch this as if it was a brand new idea and I just love that for myself😅
Okay, but is no one going to talk about how comfy his sweater looks? I'm freezing my ass off rn (heaters broken in my room atm so its about~65 degress) and I wish I had it lol
It's 65 degrees inside my room; it's ~30 outside
That must be awful…being cold sucks
.....if i did the math right thats 18 degrees celsius.... thats our summer... im shocked
@@kayx3998 ikr! People here complaining it being below 20 degrees celcius meanwhile in Finland it’s -18 degrees Celsius 🥶
@@kayx3998 thank you, I thought I did the math wrong and I was like that's a lovely summers day in the UK. Also Dylan said it was 76 and I don't know if I'm right but I worked it out to 24°c and my God that is absolutely roasting. So.... Yeah.
@@kayx3998 Yeah... If it gets above 15°C I'll be sweating in a t-shirt and shorts, unable to focus on anything. It's currently -22° here where I live in Finland and I need to have the balcony door open in the evenings to get my apartment cold enough to be able to sleep, lol. I'm so glad I live here and nowhere else or I'd simply melt and die 😂
I love that Dylan begins every movie commentary by saying he wants someone to die, but that went from general murder to kid killing really quick
i love watching these because that means i don't have to watch the movies myself i just get a glimpse and mostly that's all i need.
I love and appreciate you Dylan. Don't change who you are. 💕
I love how bitter Dylan is, like damn, man just looks like he’s really going through some things.
18:11 dylan's expression, the pure disappointment was just, magical
When you are having a painful HEAVY period pain and DYLAN pops up. The BEST DRUG EVER🥴
Haha are you me? /watching this while the meds kick in
Same girl
I had to get on hormonal meds to deal with mine so I FEEL you. 😩 I hope everyone's pain killers kick in fast and your heating pads are nice and toasty✊✊✊
sup I too am part of this club
Same
So your telling me not once did the parents realize their kid was not with them 🤔
In the original, you saw how desperate the family was to get back home and showed Kevin’s value in their family dynamic over the course of the movie. Yes, they forgot by accident. The mom realized as soon as they landed. It was nice to see their reaction on forgetting Kevin. They should have did this in this movie as well cause it would have shown the family’s bond. It makes it seem like the kid is not important at all in the family.
So... You didn't actually watch the full video then huh lol
Oh my gosh this video killed me. Started with "Baby Hardin" and it really just went uphill from there. Loved it
Him chanting "affair" is what keeps me stable
“If someone dies that’s a +”
Why am I not shocked by this, dear Dylan?
😭😭😭 This was a great video, I just hate how he feels like he has to apologize all the time
16:51 In home alone 2, Kevin bought some ornaments for charity or some shit. That little kid was a philanthropist
The space bar meltdown was similar to watching Ramsay solve puzzles.
"someone dies"...
So you're a believer that "Die Hard" IS a Christmas movie!! 👏👏
“It’s tough love… minus the love🤷🏽♀️…. Toughbitch👊🏾” 💀💀
They shouldve done a proper British home alone film with a scruff in a council house with people pissed off there face on the corner. This is my Christmas
Dylan ranting about Disney + user interface is everything i needed. Same Dylan, same.
P.S. loved the commentary, it was really funny :D
This is legitimately so difficult to watch even with Dylan's commentary. I actually feel sick
Girl what
@@Someone30056 I just hate this film with a burning passion. It's incredibly uncomfortable to watch and makes me feel sick because of the unnecessary gross violence. I'm not sure why I have such a visceral reaction to this movie, but it made it incredibly difficult to sit through Dylan's video. His commentary usually eases any sense of discomfort I have with a film, but this one is so awful that not even Dylan could help.
This is not related to this specific video, but I love that Dylan and generally the troublemaker community looks at the world like, yeah... shit is f**ked in the world, but instead of wanting to die or be miserable, we are just gonna be... and go with our days, crack a joke here and there, and make comedy out of depressing stuff. Thanks Dylan!
Dylan not noticing that the spacebar only works when the timeline is already visible and otherwise is responsible for showing the timeline is my favorite part of this video :D
The spacebar was the best part of this movie. At least that was exciting "oh will it pause or will it not". It distracted me from the pain of another childhood movie being ruined.
I love Dylan, but I also love to see him annoyed and angry.
His body parts literally become independent, sometimes its his tongue, brain and now hands 😂😂
