Phil I recommend to anyone who as the least bit of apprehension on polishing to spend the time and take the your class at your shop like I did last year. It was the best time and money I spent on learning to detail, to include how to polish the correct way. Good Video
Hi Phil ! I am new to detailing have been using a rotary polisher with yellow Lake Country foam C C yellow pad . Washed then Clay bared cars . Type of application was Sonax perfect finish solution .on car's . They all turned out pretty good . Finished off with Turtle Wax Hybrid Graphine spray to seal shine . Can you suggest something else for even better results ? No complaints yet seems to be a safe application I'm using now .
Hi. Cool! If you're getting results and comfortable with the Rotary polisher then keep on doing what you do. If you want to try something else like a 15mm DA polisher or different polishes then practice and try different things and see what results you get.
Love your videos Phil. Those pearl weave towels are definitely the way to go on wax/polish duties. I love those things. I have messed up so many times using those fluffier towels and after spending half the darn day polishing my own vehicle, go to do the wipe off only to have a mess of LINT everywhere that seems next to impossible to remove which is frustrating also, especially after doing all the hard work, you just want an easy wipe off. I definitely tend to hover towards products that have a super easy wipe off. Jescar Powerlock/Ultralock+ are probably my favorite of all time as far as use of use, durability, and most important to me, one of the easiest wipe off's of any protection product out there. As far as polishing products, same thing, I look for the one that's going to work the fastest and wipe's off the easiest!
Always enjoy each and every video Phil. Your channel is a delight to watch and a nice channel to learn useful content for professionals and enthusiasts. Hope you , Jess and everyone has a great weekend.
Thank you for this video, I have a 2015 GLI, same color and I have been planning to machine polish it for awhile now, the paint is not near as bad as the car in the video but I'm hoping to get it much better than it currently is, I'll definitely follow your tips when I attempt my first machine polish with a DA polisher
This was an exceptional video. Very helpful and concise. Also The prototype nozzle holder is something I think we could all use. Now I can search everywhere for hours to discover it was conveniently nestled in the holder, right where I just put it, the whole time 😅😜
Excellent craftmanship as always! Do you still have those well thought out polishing bundles on Car Supplies Warehouse? I’m sure the owner was thrilled with the final outcome. Thank you for another video!
One thing I took from my old tunnel was menu was the "good, better, best" approach. Option 1 - Cleaner Wax Option 2 - one step + protection Option 3 - cut + polish + protectuon.
Just yesterday this dude clipped my back bumper so now I’m looking to polish it out. Thankfully it was just surface and most of it wiped off with a quick detailer

Hi. Thsnks. The wash was Vonixx Citron (minute 4:08) Decon means decontamination, Using either a clay bar or clay towel to mechanically remove bonded bits on the paint, or chemical decon with an iron particle and/or tar remover. That way the paint is clean and smooth.
@MirandaDetailing Excellent. I'm enjoying this channel so much. Btw, how many times a year would the be recommended times to polish a car in a year? Thanks
@@jaimedpcaus1thanks. Polishing your vehicle depends on a few factors. Why do you want to polish? Swirls, scratches, fading. Only polish when needed. Usually a light polish can be done multiple times if needed. But if the vehicle is well cared for you shouldn’t need to polish anything for a few years.

I always learn more! Jamie The Cleaner gave You props on The APC rinse, then foam method. I've learned tons from Your videos. Keep the awesome content coming, and Thank You for sharing everything with us.
I just bought this tool and my Kia measured 2.20 in a couple areas… would you shy away from any polishing in these areas. Also, do you have any paint correction online training? Thanks, love the content
Hi. Yeah I would only do a one step or quick polish over thin areas like that. Never a heavy cut. Yeah we do online training and it’s a little tough to actually do paint correction training online but I have done it before.
Excellent video phil! I just tried to order something from car supplies warehouse and use your discount code Miranda 10 but it would not work? Maybe because I'm in 🇨🇦 ?
I think people over complicate polishing because their information was provided by a brand or elitist that is "brand influenced." 🤔Everything you said Phil was spot on, we dont need to reinvent how to use our polishes, towels, machines, etc. Shoot, we can even do it by hand if on a really tight budget😂 A lot of the I would say "influence" comes from the product's marketing, especially new brands, that come out into the market. Not going to lie, even I fall victim to this wondering how Bottle X Y Z would perform and really, as you mentioned, we dont need to overcomplicate it. Just stick to the basic principles and everything is a breeze from there 😎👍 If the rookies can just focus on the core principles to paint polishing rather than being hyperfocus on products, I bet you most of them will catch up with ease. 👍 Thanks Phil for your constructive and down to earth teachings! 😁Keep it up champ!
He is doing the exact same martketing as others detailers, he is using top of the line brands doing a low-average job, he could just use meguiars and a cutting pad at half the price and could get a better results, the instructions are impecable thought
Hi love your videos but do you wanna have more subscribers , make more videos like Ammo NYC ,more before and after and I promise you'll have more subscribers ❤
Hi. Thanks. Yeah I don’t have the type of business he has. We do t do disaster details because they don’t pay well and take way to long. I would love to, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not our demographic here. I have tons of videos with great before and after shots, maybe people forgot about those. 🤷🏻♂️
I polished/coated my charger Scat Pack after binge watching Phil’s channel. Turned out great. Listen closely, be patient, work smart.
That’s awesome man! Thanks!
I go away for 4 days and two new Miranda Detailing videos. What a great return gift.
Welcome back!

Hi. I believe they redid the site and that kit is no longer on there. But I want to put together another polishing kit.
@@MirandaDetailing The ambassador needs a kit for sale!
Fantastic tips on polishing from one of the more fantastic channels on the platform.

Great hands on work. Thanks.
Btw, what product did you use to wash the car? Oh, and what is "deconn it" and what was used for it?
Hi. Thsnks.
The wash was Vonixx Citron (minute 4:08) Decon means decontamination, Using either a clay bar or clay towel to mechanically remove bonded bits on the paint, or chemical decon with an iron particle and/or tar remover. That way the paint is clean and smooth.

@MirandaDetailing After 4 yrs, my car has all of them ( swirls, scratches and fading). Many thanks. 😊
Hey brother, I noticed you state that you clean the exterior windows. I do the same, but what’s the reasoning behind not cleaning the inside for you?
Hi. We usually do the inside glass too even on exterior only services even though I state exterior glass on the actual service.
Terrific content! Always learning stuff with each new video.👍
Thanks!
Do you have any video on wet sanding
