I just bought your book - such a great idea & My daughter loves it. If you don’t mind sharing, where did you find the beautiful photos? I’d like to create a similar book, not necessarily Montessori focused. I’m thinking of printing photos for my book that includes fruits and vegetables for my daughter.
I’m glad your daughter is enjoying the book! The images are from Midjourney that uses ai prompts to create the images. Takes a bit of working with different prompts to get the pictures generated to the way you envision.

I have a Montessori letter book I got used that goes over the letter sounds and a few times a week my daughter and I will go over it. She's mainly learning the letter sounds from her Monte. School tho. 😅 They've done most of the heavy lifting.

Montessori school does do most of the heavy lifting. I’m more of just a reinforcing what he learns at school.

Very different than what we grew up with for sure.
As with lots of montessori things, they were ahead of their time but now we have a lot more information. I think you would be interested in the UK gov publication Letters and Sounds. Listen to educators saying these sounds. You need to teach away from the "uh" in buh.
Didn’t know about the UK Letter and Sounds publication! Quite an impressive document with bunch of useful information (only skimmed it so far). Very typical American for me to not even consider about looking into where the language originated 😅. Phonetics was never my strong point still learning myself!

I agree with the Montessori approach. Our son is reading Montessori under 18months. Reading before two doing Montessori. Just turned 21 months old now. He is doing really well. Its amazing we are so proud of him. Where can we get your book?

It's hard to find specific Montessori books that are not to easy but not to difficult. The library doesn't have much for Montessori reading besides her books explaining her methods etc.
To many cartoons books and not real pictures unless you get to the adult section or little kids section we found many books but we read a lot. So already read everything all the libraries in our area.
@@kevin-lu it's ok he is at higher reading level. He loves pictures so it would be worth it anyway to us.
I need to order your book! Does Montessori say buh instead of the /b/ sound? I teach my kiddos to cut the schwa.
I'm not an expert, but I believe /b/ is correct. I forget at times and add emphasize the "uh" sound too much. The reason I say it wrong a lot is that I'm listening to that Ants on the Apple song too much 😅
