Today we are gonna find out what is faster, a 72v sur ron or a kx85! Had so much fun recording this was super surprised by the outcome as well! The sur ron absolutely rips now just missing some good brakes... hopefully we can fix that problem soon though! But yea 72v sur ron vs kx85 was so much fun electric bike vs gas bike turned out crazy!
i think the kx would definintley be faster with a more experienced rider, no offense haha.

Even the stark varg compared to a YZF450 they kinda run the same speeds. The gears make the gas bike a few frames slower every pull. But the gas motor won't cook over and burn itself down if not properly maintained. Maybe in 10 years, when these eBikes are more advanced, they may dethrone the combustion single. But the given range of ebikes? And how fast a battery can die? I think I'll keep my 06 kx125. The electric power and rideability is undoubtedly something good for just having fun.

Thank you! And 9kw feels like a pretty good amount of power and doesn't cut into range too bad, even when I bump up to 11kw I notice it runs thru the battery much faster! We can definitely do that!
@@gripnrip4106 cool mate looking forward to it, your guys videos are much like emoto bros and match there quality, I have a kuberg freerider 12kw and the low end torque is great but it lacks a lot of top speed, I got a surron and Im really wanting the 72v or bigger 60v I’m thinking I should go for the 60v as it can run 12kw and apparently has more range than 72v aswell as it being cheaper. What do you think

Trust me you dont want more than 9000w, especially on a mid driven (sur ron is mid driven). The torque is too insane to handle for 99% of riders at peak, and also 9000w is about 13hp, which on a 55kg bike, is absolutely INSANE. That well breaks the 0.2hp/kg that is what is limited on an A2 license here in the UK

I’m uk got a rm85 2002 that I’m making fully road legal have lights and everything needed, now contemplating finishing it selling it and buying a surron

Facts, was Dakotas first time really riding a dirtbike, not every run was as clean as we were hoping but a very good idea of about what a 9000 watt sur ron compares too!

I just like the lower center of gravity especially on the road with the mini sur ron tires! As for the gas bike, I believe its just what it came with, its a smaller bike!
@@gripnrip4106 Yeah, the gas bike, i understand, 80cc is a kids class. Maybe you like the look of it on your bike or something, but small wheels definitely doesn't give you an advantage in handling. Yes, it reduces your center of gravity, but it also reduces your leverage and stability, not to mention hitting a pothole is going to suck compared to larger wheels.
17 inch wheels are probably a good compromise for on the road.
I mean it's fine if you like the look, but if you did it, thinking it would improve the handling of the bike, maybe you should try 17 inch wheels and see how you like that.
