I played Octopath Traveler multiple times and so I know how to approach this game but to be honest I don't think this game is that beginner friendly if you never played JRPGs before. In the beginning you are always low on money and can only buy some equipment but not every gear the shop has to offer and while the first chapters are relatively easy, the second chapter has a really nasty difficulty spike, especially if you go first to the snowy land for Primrose's second chapter or worse if you decide to go to the east shore area to do the other ones. The mobs hit really hard and have much HP. It becomes easier with the secondary jobs but I don't know if a beginner really use them right away. I've seen Octopath Traveler on some top ten list's for hard games but I wouldn't call it hard either but a smart play is needed to make the game easier. FFX is a good choice but there are also some really nasty fights like Seymour or the end game battle where you probably lose multiple times and need to invest into the game's mechanics but I would recommend it to beginners too.
Nice list of games I've been wanting to play! I do find it a little weird that all the TWEWY clips are from NEO, and not anything from the original or Final Remix.

Ffx is for beginners, until you reach Evrae and cannot progress anymore in the game. At least to me, it is unbeatable. Tried out all combinations. Killed it only once, and then immediately killed by those kicking robots when saving Yuna. The game had balanced difficulty until that point, when it just became brutal. I just gave up on it.

I only faced trouble in the final few dungeons, that's where the true spike lies.
Defender X are the easiest boss to kill. Just have Tidus use provoke
