Nikola Poiukov Why the fuck would they have you kill or discover all the gods in the first game? I'm sure in the original God of war they didn't do that and there was no gripe, so why is there a problem now
Nikola Poiukov well you can't just go in and kill all the gods in the first (Norse version of the) game. Just like the very first god of war it has to set the foundation. You didn't really start killing all the gods till the 3rd game. The first was setting the foundation on Kratos and how he became the god of war. The second was setting up his motives on why he hated the gods. And the third one was the fanale killings spree of the gods. This one is showing who he's changed into and who the gods are. The next one will likely be setting up his hatred for the gods once again (with Thor as the main enemy) while the one after that will probably be a god killing spree (with him killing his way through the gods, once again, to get to Odin who wants to kill him for killing Thor). Now of course this is just a guess and will likely be different than I described but it seems like its the formula being used here (tried and successful formula). You can tell that this game was a setup for the next game to be bigger. Part 1 of any good story game you play is likely a slower paced story in which you get to know the characters more than anything along with the base of the characters motives. Mark my words, the last of us 2 will focus *less* on character development and more on story, which is the opposite of the first one. This is just my observation anyways.
Nah, they're easy if you have the right equipment. I beat them all without trying to dodge they're attacks with Dead mist armor. The queen is the only one who I'll say is kinda hard. I only played it in a normal difficulty so I can't say for the hard mode.
SuperGaming Dude not trying to say the game is bad, but they didn’t really take a lot of risks. If they really wanted to take a risk they would have killed off Kratos all together. Instead they just changed the mythology and changed the gameplay a bit
Risks? It's the same formula as TLOU, a father figure goes on a journey with their charge and in that journey they both grow and bond together. And we all know what a success TLOU was so no, they didn't take risks.
Brinsk the gameplay is exactly what makes this game stand out from all the other GOWs. Different camera-angle, slower-paced combat without jumping, an ally (the son)? Really seems like a lot of risk - and that's just talking gameplay.
There’s an 8 hour long video someone put up where they cut out all random combat and just left pure story and I watched all of it over 3 days. Absolute masterpiece
There really is no such thing as 100% for cr1tical obviously. I doubt he'll ever give it. He just reviewed "Searching" Which he said was "the best suspense movie he had ever seen" and praised everything about it, yet still gave it a 90%. Take a score from cr1t and add 10. That's the real score.
One of my favorite things about the game was how they designed the travel it never became boring or tedious because you always had something interesting to listen to

One thing i really love about the game is its world design, instead of trying to make the biggest most realistic world its compact and it feels like it was designed as a game first. The journey they went on feels like an artists representation of what actually happened, like if you were to write a book about it everything would have been further apart and not conveniently around a lake but we don't need to play that, instead what we played felt like the mythologised version of the events which is really cool. and from a gameplay perspective it makes the world so much fun, with the world being so unrealistic and surreal, they can get away with putting puzzles everywhere, secret areas with treasure chests and lore are everywhere, the lake is like a hubworld connecting to different linear "levels". The game is very open but its linear enough that everything feels structured
4:58 WHAT? Man Charlie, you are so mistaken. When facing some enemys, like travelers, you mainly look for stuning them, and some you take a distance... Many Many more. The game really variated the enemys, if you face tem the same, then you are not a versatile player
I think what ultimately made the fodder enemies disappointing was their colored blood. It doesn't have that same visceral feel when enemies don't splurge into red blood and guts when they're hit and cut apart.
Because the man's voice is more better and it fits in with the computer voice more better. While the girls voice is like more of a British teacher reading a child's nursery rhyme
The first and only time i finished this game was on Give me God of War mode, and the whole combat thing really shines through. Every enemy can 2 or 1 shot you with unblockables until you get through 70% of the game and get those apples.....and this was still one of the best story driven games I've ever played.
I disagree about the first boss battle. The last battle was amazing cinimatically SPOILERS! when the world serpent came in and bit the giants head off plus Baldur switching between fire and ice I thought it was way cooler than the first fight
Mrspinetto12 i had really hoped that kratos would go on a god killing spree because athena said he would always be a monster and his rage resurfaces a lot, he seems a lot weaker maybe thats just me, fun game just wish he wiped out the Aeseir like he did to the Olympians, i also wished he went back to Greece, but i doubt its inhabitiable
i mean... i didnt think theyd make another... now ill try to look past your pic and agree, the thing i liked about god of war 3 that isnt in god of war 4 is the enemies are no match for kratos, or they shouldnt be, in 3 thered be integral battles like when putting the labrynth together or using them for puzzles like throwing them through portals. in god of war 3 he... acomplished some amazing feats every 10 minutes, which is what i feel like kratos should have been like, i wish also that he still had his fleece, i also dont understand why he has “armor of the exile” but not the blades of exile, why the blades of chaos? he hates Ares, but does he hate Athena more? plus killing the gods wasnt as brutal as i wished, its not as brutal as it was, i wish it was and i wish it had weapon specific executions, also i wish that there were more remanants of greek culture like... aside from kratos... but i had hoped to see a minotar or something

Yah you know all these streamers they will just play the main story and then complaint about less content
The game is very open but its linear enough that everything feels structured
you were really passionate in this video
Uncharted 4: 2
Dead Sausage uncharted 4: BETTER THAN UNCHARTED
The last of us 3
Kill butt 3: 2
*God of War 4: 2*
This is so much fucking better than Uncharted.

I thought he was gonna say Atreus's real name but ok lol
He did.... he is bOy
That’d be such an annoying spoiler lol
4:58 WHAT? Man Charlie, you are so mistaken. When facing some enemys, like travelers, you mainly look for stuning them, and some you take a distance... Many Many more. The game really variated the enemys, if you face tem the same, then you are not a versatile player
Idk i think it would be cool to be named Nathan (2000)
I think what ultimately made the fodder enemies disappointing was their colored blood. It doesn't have that same visceral feel when enemies don't splurge into red blood and guts when they're hit and cut apart.
Great game, my favorite part was going home for the chaos blades, nothing beats that in my opinion.
“His real name is Boy.” I bursted out laughing cuz it’s so true.
Yo Critikat, why’d you get rid of the girls voice in the intro?
Because the man's voice is more better and it fits in with the computer voice more better.
While the girls voice is like more of a British teacher reading a child's nursery rhyme
Broken Entity, thanks for the explanation. My understanding is more better now.
nah the girls voice was definitely more better
It really wasn’t.
no thots pls
Anyone else came back to this to compare it to the ragnarok moist meter?
Me bro
That bridge bit were you have Spartan rage and killing the elves is on of the best parts of the game
2:30 proof that Charlies is Keanu in a separate universe
One issue I had with the game was having the same executions for stunning enemies, there was no variation even for the bigger ones.
Greatest game story in my opinion
RIP Shad Gaspard. Body of Kratos for this game
Did you just comment on his profile picture? I mean YOU? The guy with the hentai weeb profile picture? When the day comes where that is a normality I will be no more.
his picture is a fucking snapchat filter! its not nearly as bad as my hentai photo! At least im not a normie!
Joseph Wentz of course the normie said weeb
Any plans to do a review of Yakuza 6?
I don't actually, thanks for asking though :)
m i x ed b a g .
I still maintain the best game of 2018 so far for me is Digimon Story: Hackers Memory. I have not had that much fun playing a game since Bloodborne
The Hellblazer You my friend have great taste in RPGs.
ALJustice0 ah man don’t be like that, that game was great
Because it was a fun as hell game. Doesn’t need to be amazingly complex with in depth RPG elements to be a good game, I had an amazing time just collecting and using all my favourite Digimon and watching them kick ass. Is it a nostalgia hard on? Probably, but I had a fucking amazing time playing it. So to me it’s my favourite game of the year so far
ALJustice0
Lol stay mad bby boi
Yes, the point charlie makes about the 1st boss battle being the best is for me a really important point, if every boss battle in the 2nd game is able to live up to its first or even surpass it, I think I could die happy
Can you die happy?
@@disneyfan_1237 when I made this comment, I forgot to take into account that there's more to life than this video game, but yeah the boss fights in Ragnarok were consistently great
Charlie says you don't need to think outside the box and that just screams that he didn't fight the valkeries.
The last of war: zero dawn
the shadow of the last of war:unsharted dawn
Play box series 5
