It's great to see some proper old school body shell repair work....not many panel beaters can complete this sort of work to that standard....very impressive👍
SHE LIVES AGAIN!!!!!!!! Awesome works and I feel sorry for the RS2000 that gave up its rear quarter!! Amazing recovery of an amazing car!! The legend lives on. Cracking job boys!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@@ToreDL87 2:52 Only it had already been painted (in lime green!) and had the decal fitted. If you're buying replica panels, you don't usually buy them second hand.
As a Panel Beater / Spray Paint myself for over 55 years and have built mean rally cars myself I understand and appreciate this video 👍👍👌👌👌👌 Thanks for sharing 👍👍👍
Well done to the panelbeater big job !! Had to do some thing similar to a mk2 rally car here in NZ two yrs back great effort guys Wonder if Frank will return to NZ for the Otago Classic rally some time soon ?? Neill McK NZ

What a transformation. Those rack guys are magicians. A crumpled mess goes in, a straight car comes out. She’s looking fantastic. Where do you get your replacement panels?
Not alot of people can build there cars back up I'm so impressed. But please finish a rally lol. Just for the points you get lol. Love watching your vlogs on rally. The west Cork stage was my favourite by far. The one by the sea
How many hours went into just the shell alone to get it ready for refitting the mechanicals? I guess now that genuine Mk2's are getting scarce and expensive it's now worth the time and money to rebuild a shell. Many years ago I was looking at rebuilding a crash damaged ex works Gp4 Mk2 escort shell but it was cheaper at the time to just start again with another shell.
Whats the rules on the roll cage after a heavy impact or two guys. I know a Grp4 shell aint exactly a standard Escort shell but at what point would they say, the cage needs to be renewed?
“It’s had thirty three new heads and fourteen new handles”. Then how can it still be the same broom? “Well, here’s a photo of it, what more proof do you need” …… Baby Blue lives again to thrill and entertain sideways for another day!! 😊😊😊😊👍👏😊
A shell can be straightend and repaired as many times as you like provided you have the correct jig and equipment to do so. The only time a shell might get binned is if there is a major twist in it from front to back including the roll cage. Bear in mind a world rally car is built from the floor pan up!
With an Escort zero times. This is a racecar that looks vagualy like an Escort. But I feel the end is near for this one as well. Time to do another new shell.
only those who have walked that walk can appreciate the hours and skill involved, thanks for sharing ! awesome work

Pretty sure those are replica panels (they make everything, incl framerails).

This might be a stupid question but how many time can you straighten a shell before its game over for it?
