I’m not used to seeing finished projects on TH-cam 😂. It’s bitter sweet. Great job though guys. That’s a hell of a lot of work. And the result looks absolutely fantastic.
I know its a custom but the side mirror onto the door instead on the fender like the original will block the opening of the window vent. Even that is an stunning car! What a project!
Well done guys! She looks so good. Perfect choice of colour, wheels and stance with amazing attention to detail. Hopefully to complete the illusion you will put a dateless plate on it. Can't wait for a video of it out on the road. Good luck with the first showing.
Firstly, Absolute brill build series. Might have a hit at doing 1 myself next year when I've finished my daughters cars. Secondly, I really can't believe you've not got more subscribers. Come on boys and girls subscribe and like whilst your watching.
you fellas have really done a wonderful job on this car . i see it and it just makes me happy . you should really really be proud of the work you have done . one of the best restorations i have seen on you tube this year . congratulations on such a sweet build .
What a gem ! So there is one year that I follow each episode. It's a big project and I am well surprised to see it finish ! The details are nice ! Great sound at the exhaust ! Men, you have plenty skills to realize such a masterpiece. Don't read or listen some haters who can't put a nail in a wood piece ! By the way, it would be nice to have an idea of the total budget ( donor car / upholstery / paint job / specific parts / etc...) have a nice track day in Poland. The 993 looks terrible !!!! Wow ! What a garage !
I'm not sure whether to be happy for you guys, or sad for me!! I've loved every bit of content on this build and I'm so thankful that you both took us along for the ride. I hope we see car show content now, please! I will say that you have a subscriber for life, you keep building things and I'll keep watching (even if it's not another Gullwing). Thanks Gents!
End of the build 😪 but my god Wow, Wow, Wow simply stunning, congratulations to both of you for the craftmanship, camaraderie and sheer bloody sweat and a few tears no doubt, but just look what you have created... to take an old SLK and finish with an all time classic icon is just unbelievable, what a process and what a passion you two have shown through out can we say it 12 months, my god. Since finding your channel and looking forward to each and every upload each Sunday watching my dream car come to life has been amazing(not to get carried away yes she is a replica) but to the uneducated she is a gullwing all day long, and a very special on at that, from the outset you said you were going to put your own stance on it an you have, with the air ride and the OMFG wheels, the people in Poland are in for a very special treat.... thank you, thank you, thank you..... if the offer is still open when you get back Andy it would be an honour to come and see her in the flesh - you both have made a 56 year old man with a passion for Mercedes Benz especially the Gullwing very, very, very happy over the last 12 months - thank you and have a amazing fantastic show... 👍 Any chance your going to document the road trip to show, what's involved to get her there, do you have details of the show will it be online/tv - info?
You can call in and see her Simon when I’m back, don’t forget the biscuits 😂we’re filming the journey and ultrace as I type. Don’t think it’s on tv but plenty of social media coverage I’m sure
I'd say Nice, but mittens are nice, that car looks superb, a credit to your workmanship, and I will be visiting you shortly with a CLK and a Beetle that need your touch, as long as you don't use a club hammer near me 🤣
Stunning build Andi, you and Alex have knocked it out the park. Its funny, im not a gullwing fan, dont like silverstone blue and dont like the wheels! But that closing shot of the whole car made me see the vision and they all tie together perfectly. I wouldnt change a thing!
What a journey, and we haven't even seen it drive yet. Its magnificent. Thanks for the entertainment, now why haven't you started the next project, i'm waiting.
Gentlemen, have watched from episode one. I think the car is an absolute credit to you; a marvellous job. You’re both incredibly skilled. Thanks for the entertainment, keep them coming. Will stay subscribed for sure. Keep safe and enjoy the ride 👍🏻
Fabulous fellas, you should be well proud of what you have achieved with all your hard work. It's been great watching this project come together on Sunday evenings. Gonna miss it 👏
Great series lads. Really impressed. Would you consider a road test and snagging video. I’d love to see how it drives and how the air suspension performs. Looking forward to the next project. Well done.
awesome guys, glad you met ya dead line,JEEBUS, it looks the dogs danglies, awesome side shot of her at the end of the vid, wow thanks so much for sharing the journey, lookin forward to more, take care,
Sensation work absolutely loved the build and its journey Followed it from the beginning Have a Safe Journey to Ultrace And looking Forward to seeing at the forthcoming shows in the Uk Ready to film 🎥 it 🙌🏼
Guys, Guys, that is just pure perfection. Congratulations. I have been watching from day 1 and enjoyed every second of the build and watching you 2 solve so many challenges with a laugh n giggle... I have just 1 question: will the SL be a show car or will you get it road registered by DVLA/VOSA?
Car looks amazing men fair play. Can't believe you have only been working on it for just 1 day a week for the last year. I've really enjoyed following the build can't wait to see what you are doing next.
One year one day per week that's 52 days 8 hours per day that's a total of 416 hours so with two of you 832 man hours. I would have expected at least one thousand man hours to complete such a first class build. It might well be if you both put more than a 8 hour day in. I've enjoyed every video you'veproduced on this build and am looking forward to your next. meanwhileI just want to oggle the results of your labour.
Sorry for my ignorance as this is my first time watching. But is this an original car? Only asking because I know the originals are worth a small fortune. Excuse me, a large fortune. Having said that, I love it. The color palette and wheels are sublime.
Well done! Wasn΄t it possible to take out that middle section of the SLK console that is still visible under the dash? Thats just about the only thing I can think of thats not perfect on this build.
Would of looked much nicer in Magnolia Vinyl Silk...but leaves that to me...as much as I love campers, can you do them, and the cars separately ?....CHEERS
Beauty. But Fwiw, I think that super-low rider stance looks ridiculous and does not suit the car or its heritage. I know it's not the driving stance; but even standing still in a pose it's a very passè look. Just sayin' 🤔
I’m not used to seeing finished projects on TH-cam 😂. It’s bitter sweet.
Great job though guys. That’s a hell of a lot of work. And the result looks absolutely fantastic.
Thanks 👍
Looking forward to the montage video. 👌

It surprises us but that’s TH-cam for you 🤷🏻

Thanks for your support

glad you are at the end of the build, it's been a learning curve.
Great series lads. Really impressed. Would you consider a road test and snagging video. I’d love to see how it drives and how the air suspension performs. Looking forward to the next project. Well done.
We will be doing something like that
Congratulations guys, you've ended up with one hell of a car and I've really enjoyed every minute of the build. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks a ton!

Exquisite !
That looks proper good - really amazing!
Well done guys - amazing is the only word !
congratulations guys. I think it looks lovely.
Think you need a more sturdy bench! I have bent those hanger rods before and they are hard!
Excellent job and so well filmed, congrats 🎉Been past your place many times and never knew! Only live down the road!
Thank you very much!
Thanks for that project guys, I enjoyed it greatly
Sensation work absolutely loved the build and its journey
Followed it from the beginning

(At approximately 500 man hours times two) @£100 per hour (?) makes this a very valuable car.
Thanks 👍
Congratulations!!!!! Very good replica....
Would look even more wonderful on the original style wheels and suspension, as nice (if not nicer) than an original in my opinion!
It’s not a replica and I never set out to make it one
@@andirt4 You could say as in the words of Chip Foose, it’s more of a modern “re-engineered” version!
Parabéns, ficou lindo demais!

the wheels set it off. was hoping youd drive it😊
Be patient 😂
A tip. Bite a tiny piece off on each corner and use like a straw in your coffee or tea. One corner on each end.
Do another classic car, your audience will grow. great channel, well done guys. Only criticism would be that we didn't see it driving.
Be patient you will
Great work fella.
What is next
Sorry for my ignorance as this is my first time watching. But is this an original car? Only asking because I know the originals are worth a small fortune. Excuse me, a large fortune. Having said that, I love it. The color palette and wheels are sublime.
That looks amazing, it's like a full size Hot Wheels car! Do you want to build me one 😛
Sure, why not
Well done! Wasn΄t it possible to take out that middle section of the SLK console that is still visible under the dash? Thats just about the only thing I can think of thats not perfect on this build.
It was but we like it

Just going to enjoy it
I think it will need head restraints if you are trying to get it on a Q plate - to use on U.K. roads?
Very good job. But the weels are not a good choice. I think you must choose a replica of original weels and this car Will be perfect. Congratulations
It’s not a replica it’s a restomod….my car and not a copy
Thank you. Now to the big question. If I give you a donor car, how much will it cost if you make me a copy of your car
🤔
Well done, she is absolutely beautiful, you have done a fantastic job 👏 👍
I think it would be better if bench was fasten to floor
It’d be better if I got a sturdier one lol
Really looks a treat lads, sits great and a splendid colour choice, please loose the cheap and nasty looing boot
lock ...just saying
Beauty. But Fwiw, I think that super-low rider stance looks ridiculous and does not suit the car or its heritage. I know it's not the driving stance; but even standing still in a pose it's a very passè look. Just sayin' 🤔
(Be prepared for a smart-ass response on that one Mick…)
😂
Each to there own
Pity it doesn't have air ride 😂😂😂 awesome job guys been pleasure watching look forward to next project
No…….It looks bloody Awesome.
Hate the low rider look, a 300sl is isn't a hot rod
🤦🏻 have you watched any other videos or just made your mind up from a 15 second clip you watched
by the way your bench sucks.
True!!! 😂
