A friend from work sent me this and i am so happy she did. I have made the frozen can lanterns about 20 years ago but used naiks and a hammer and that was tough. A drill is 100% better. I love tge clear star sticker idea and definitely make one. Beautiful wonderful ideas. Happy New Year!
I love your ideas as I not creative myself, you seem to get negative comments from people that probably wouldn’t know how to turn an oven on keep on sharing you ideas, thank you. ❤ . X
Home talk used to be amazing. My home is filled with neat ideas from them. I found the short videos inspiring and easy to follow. The last few years this platform is less original, long and overdone, and just not worth it. I know that many new creators have shown up and it’s tough to stay relevant, but the changes you have made didn’t work.
Good to know it's not just me. I hate waste and on several projects there is a lot of it, or items that can't be cleaned, just thrown away, etc. They lost me with the rug made out of Swifter cloths...really? Would be way to expensive to make and won't hold up.
I'm sorry you have received quite a few nasty replies. I'm not sure why people behave like that. I appreciate your time sharing this, and your projects are old world shabbytastic. Thank you!
Every time I see a video with one word in the title capitalized, I am 100% certain the content is the exact opposite of that word. Case and point, this video.
When I did them I used nails, makes a clean hole, and that's where the ice comes in. I thought the same about the drill driver. My kids made them when they were little,it was something to do during Christmas break to keep them occupied.

I also made this project with my Cub Scouts about 35 years ago. A safe economical project for any group😊
Very pretty ice lantern. I can’t use it in FL but still doesn’t take away from how pretty it is. I love recycling my jars too
You can. It’s used to be light.

Please can you tell me where you purchase the light you placed inside? Thanks very much! Very clever idea!
It’s an old way of the pagans. Not a clever idea. lol

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion
Why did you freeze it?
Is it to stabilize the aluminum can?
To make candles for winter.
Has to be for strengthening the thin tin can, the drill would easily be able to bend the can before drilling the hole.
She’s SPECIAL 😂
We made those tin can candle holders when my kids were little, they turn out cute
Wouldn't it ne sharp on insides when putting light inside and taking it out
Very nice!
The can ?
Nice but i don't have a electric drill
You could use a nail and hammer.
You could use a hammer and a nail to punch the holes.
Thanks for the suggestions
You could use an awl and hammer, or even an ice pic. Use your imagination. There are a TON of ways you could do this.
Hammer and large nail
Witches make ice lanterns but we don’t use plastic. ❤. It’s an old Scandinavian Yule we do to honor light. Please remember history on people’s linage.
Sounds like a lot of work just to make a decoration!!
Many of us like the effort to be creative and make pretty things for our homes.
@ isn’t that just so special!!
You will never see this clutter in an affluent home
I wish someone would think of a different name or theme because the 'farmhouse look' seems to cover everything but farmhouses!!

Nice trash deco! Pretty stupid way to punch holes in a STEEL can (not tin). Looks like crap

Food cans are made of tin and aluminum
Cans arent tin anymore
Yes they are. Also aluminum
This is not a “new idea’🤷♂️or genius
Only the last one was okay. Everything else sucked.
Those cans are not "tin"
Food cans are made of tin and aluminum.
