- There's no denying the effectiveness of maggots through the colder months. However fish fish can become a lot harder to catch when the water is cold. We got Jamie Hughes to show the tactics he uses to catch more fish on maggots when the water is cold and the fish aren't feeding much.

@@ifishmatrix thought as much. just bought a Horizon 4M one, it looks super light, I do have an idea for you regarding the handles but would rather not put it on here for every other company to copy. can you give me a contact??
When the float has settled we can hardly see the float, useless when most of us love to see a float disappear! But great video
Unfortunately, that is the way to have your float if you want to catch more fish, especially when fishing for shy-biting F1's. It's these little things that make Jamie one of the best commercial angler's there is!

We filmed this at the end of November. With threat of full lockdowns we've kept a number of videos in the bank. Thankfully we're still allowed out fishing, but if we weren't, we'd be prepared with loads of content :)

The MXC 1 is the hook Jamie helped us develop to replace his B911’s
Which elastic are you using Jamie ? It looks a little heavier than you would normally use in winter.
It was 10-12 Slik. We filmed the video at the end of November, in the event of a big freeze or really bad weather. Once it drops a bit cooler, Jamie switches to 8-10 Slik.

Come on chaps, love your videos but nah it's the middle of summer on this one and just as all the match fishing mags died a death for taking the p!5%, you cant give lessons on a tactic that isn't relevant at the time of the video.

what a load of bollocks this isnt even winter, suns out and the trees are green, shot months ago this was
