Jamie and Andy were talking about how they used to fish till they evolved and i was the same until recently. I used to bang loads of bait in on one spot and fish on deck, it did produce fish but since i started watching your vids of teaching different methods depending on conditions and venue i started trying them out and i have been bagging a lot more fish. So thanks to Jamie and Andy for the tips, entertainment and helping me be more efficient as well as having more fun. Great vid by the way.
Thanks Jamie, I noticed you only use 2 pieces of silicone on your stems when shallow fishing, is there a specific reason for this rather than the usual 3? Great tips as usual 😃😃
When’s the last time you had silicone actually break? Think we all put three on more out of habit now, two on shorter floats can look a bit neater. The float might fish fractionally better with less resistance but not to any noticeable amount.
I'm a bit confused here. Diamond float 0.2g but only shotted with three number tens (0,03gx3), what am I missing here? Shallow is the difference the hook and bait weight?
Matrix cubes are a bit more 0.04g, but all your components such as shot, floats and as you say hookbaits and hooks all effect it. And there are variances between different brands. Just take it as a rough guide but the only real way to tell is to fish with it. Even things like air pressure will make a difference so don't be afraid to play about with things on the day to get it perfect for your situation.

Is there any reason Andy is in his MAP gear on this video?
