The cool thing about the legends stuff coming out is that it can fit in to a G1 display. I could see putting this on my G1 shelf if I wanted something better than the abomination that is G1 Menasor.

*Well, if it wasn't for that quote "abomination that is the G1 Menasor" you wouldn't have this newer sweeter version before you of that classic figure. As often is the case most Millennials speak before they think...they just can't help it. That's like talking ish about Nintendo, or say the PS1, you see. Respect must/should be paid.*

A Ben review - my day is made
I love the level of engineering Magic Square did for these guys, but personally, even as a fan of G1, it pains me to see details that are the result of over simplification of alt mode bits replace the *actual* parts.
I'd love to be able to see the wheels peek through Motormaster's sides more, have his full truck cab just used as the majority of his boots with the grille and bumper flipped around for feet, etc.
I also wouldn't mind if they altered the truck deco to black and dark Grey on the sides, which is actually a quite popular deco and would fit Motormaster well as a G1+ design.
Great review all around, just offering my take.
That trailer was about to get thrown like a football, until I thought about YouTubing it, and it just saved me from wasting $200.

That is a good "CHUG" size combiner. I might just get the set to supplement that old Fansproject Menasor on my "CHUG" shelf. I already have the Magic Square set.

Hey Ben thanks for the review. I just got mine and have a few additional issues, just wondering if your copy shared them.
The weapons for combined mode did not peg into the hands as the pegs on the weapons are too small. The fingers are tight enough to hold them so not too bad. Edit: I figured this one out. I had the peg in the wrong spot.
In addition to that, I am not able to use dragstrip as an arm on his own as the pegs on the top base part of the shoulder of Menasor do not align correctly with the slots under the car. It looks like they just mirrored the part from the other side.
Did anyone have an issue with one of Motor Master's feet where they forgot to drill a small hole on the secondary cab you need to fully transform him like mine? I just drilled a small hole, and did it myself.

I'd love to know how these "Legends Plus" figures scale with the current Generations line. Because if they're about the same size, I have some requests. :-)
They're smaller. Individually, they're as big as Netflix Bee. Combined, I'm guesding they're as tall as Siege Jetfire (not so sure)

Thank you so much for making this video. The instructions are horrible, Motor Master's trailer is a sinful pain to get started in the beginning, but thanks to your stress relieving video, I'm able to form Menasor. Bless you.

I hope the pegs for this figure are not loose like the MS figure. The Ms version gives me nightmares..

yea.. all I wanna know is how well this could scale with my WFC guys... had that same issue with Yes Model Guardia, turns out... Yes model is the perfect size.... if this guy is the same size of him im in.
looks better than hasbros offering , at least magic square gets it right the leg stunticons are straight like in g1 cartoon its how hasbro should of done it
You got these pre-released? I don't suppose you didn't get a retail box with it? There are replacement parts being sent out already for the arms problems.

Has anyone done a comparison of the original Magic Square versions versus these KO's? I'd really like to see them side by side to compare. Also, what Devastator is that at time 24 min and 20 seconds?
New Age Hephaestus. EDIT: I stand corrected. It's a figure, not a transforming Devastator. It's not New Age's version. My apologies. This Menasor is roughly 11-12 inches tall in combined mode.
They really took parts forming to the next level. The time will come when transformers toys arent even considered transformers anymore.

Actually its a common problem for the arm... the makers made a post on weibo about it and how to fix it as most of the first release has this problem.

@@Tef-Tef The plan is that the manufacturer will be sending out replacement parts to fix the issues. So your retailer should get the parts and then send them to you.

Great review by you, and great work from the creators to make this figure.
However, I hate it. It reminds me of how they would show them merge on the show sometimes with Motormaster just growing big and the others attaching to his limbs. I HATED that transformation, and this is like that.

Personally, there are cases were the 3rd party naming its better than the original names like FT hydra(sixshot), rouge(arcee) or xbt Neptune (seaspray ) in my opinion.
