"A bit ornate. Fussy, sir," Captain "Beau" Brummell (Stewart Granger) complains to the designer of his regiment's uniform...who just happens to be the Prince of Wales (Peter Ustinov). It's an unlikely beginning to a great friendship, one that leads swordsman and dandy Brummell into lofty circles, royal intrigue and the arms of lovely Lady Patricia (Elizabeth Taylor). Filled with zest and style, highlighted by opulent costumes and glorious color photography, Beau Brummell is a treat for fans of historical epics. Granger (Scaramouche) is dashing, Taylor is ravishing, but Ustinov and Robert Morley almost steal the show as the future George IV of England and his mad papa, George III.
Directed By Curtis Bernhardt
Starring Stewart Granger, Elizabeth Taylor, Peter Ustinov

This holiday season, one man will single-handedly introduce trousers to the court of George III! Prepare to witness greatness!
che elegance mister Stewart Granger insuperabile ☆☆☆☆☆☆0
Granger looked amazing in this and loved his character!
Hilarious, stunning, stylish and evocative all at once!
Peter Ustinov Grande Ator!🙌🙌🙌
This was chosen for the annual Royal Command Film Performance. The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh were guests of honor. Despite a last-minute panic that they would be offended by scenes of Elizabeth's ancestor, George III, going crazy, the royal couple took it graciously.
The picture, which Granger disliked, marked the end of his superstardom in the early 1950s. He was one of the last British male leads groomed in Hollywood; others such as Dirk Bogarde and Laurence Harvey never made it, while the two Anglo marquee giants who emerged later- Sean Connery and Michael Caine- did not need the dying studio system.
Omg can't believe Harry Styles created men fashion 😍
Good flick
why are old movies so terrible?
You haven't seen the right old movies. This was not considered good when it was released.
What? This was amazing as do most of granger's films, so I highly disagree with you. Most films today suck!
