What a great western movie. The plot of the story, action and drama was so good from the casts of famous actors and actress their performance made this movie very entertaining to watch.

I vaguley remember this action series from years ago-??? 🤔. Quality family entertainment on a Saturday afternoon. While baking a few of my " Mighty Tasty " banana/cherry breads-!!!😋. It was a good movie. However, in the series depicting Lonesome Dove, July Johnson and Roscoe Brown were both in Arkansas when that series started. Roscoe was killed in that series by a lone renegade Blue something, (I don’t remember his full name) And Dee was married to a wife and hanged. I guess it doesn’t matter except it is interesting that the names used in the book written Lonesome Dove are in different films. Obviously, I watch too many westerns and at my age have a very good memory or I definitely need to get a life other than making comments about fictional characters. 🙄😊😉
Dean Martin was a damn good actor not fully understood because he was such a great singer and comedian. His acting was nuanced and subtle and more ranged than meets the eye. Very casual A humorous version of a noir Robert Mitchum. Leave out humor and song and just do movies he could have had a vary wide range of styles.

This came out when Hollywood finally realized that the Italians were doing better westerns, that they revitalized the genre. It has very good elements but it just doesn't do it. It's a very script, two big male stars (Jimmy Stewart and Dean Martin), Raquel Welch (a rare beauty), plus George Kennedy, an excellent opening music score (the best version out of the three that Goldsmith wrote) but still doesn't do it. Leone would this script would have done so much better.

Se a intenção dos realizadores foi a de fortalecer uma narrativa fraca como essa, na minha opinião, isso não aconteceu. O elenco principal, não salva esse obra, que começou insegura, e acabou desmoronando! Nota 4.
