Essentially, what you get is the ability to play games at native or upscaled 4k using PSSR with incredibly high frames rates. For example, I am playing Stellar Blade at 4k with unlocked frames that hover around 80 fps. There is a stark difference between it and the base model’s performance mode. The differences between other games like FF7 Rebirth, Forbidden West, Demon’s Souls, and in particular, Dragon’s Dogma 2 are staggering. Is there already a pro patch for this game?
Isnt this false advertisement? Whether it gets a patch at some point is regardless, its labelled as having pro support when it doesnt. The fact that game looks worse on pro is outrageous., someone needs to take sony to court for this as its surely breaking advertisement laws
It’s still using the raw power upgrade of the pro which explains the +5fps bump. Either way this is a Bloober Team issue, not Sony
"The fact that game looks worse on pro is outrageous" What in the name of God are you talking about? This game has a dynamic resolution in Performance mode too so it's actually running at a higher resolution ...
@@idakev the shimmering and shadows look bad. This is a problem with what i assume are the ray tracing textures; the game is unplayable on the ps5 pro with these annoyances. The game literally looks better on the base ps5 for this alone.
Yes you get a FPS boost, but the ps5 pro isn’t all about that specific perk.
A game should always look better on new hardware with or without a ps5 pro patch.
The outrageous part is admittedly more to do with the fact that the game is falsely advertised on the playstation store as having ps5 pro support when it hasn’t had one.
I have bought the ps5 pro, but feel let down that the one game id like to play looks worse. Surely thats understandable especially when you’ve paid a premium.
What are the games in this video?
PS5 PRO is better for 50-60 FPS. PS5 Standard drops to 45 FPS
R.I.P “Mid Gen Console Upgrades“
Don't buy Pro, just waiting PS6. This why no new refresh Xbox Series X
@@vtg1800 Because no one buys Xbox lmaoooo
@@8bit_nacho825 LOL because all Xbox games available in PC
When comparing PS5 PRO enhanced games, I'd recommend you try comparing images while moving, you'd see significant difference in the image quality and that's the whole point of using the AI upscale solutions.
no there is no huge difference and there is no noticeable difference
@@lobsterbob2023 just pause at any moving part and compare. it's very obvious that PS5 side is much blurrier
@@lobsterbob2023 for instance, pause at 6 second right before he opens the gate, and check the texture details on the stone, and you'll see what I mean
I feel sorry for the people who have spent money on the pro because they've been had over!!
The game hasn’t been patched for the PS5 Pro yet. It’s still running the base model’s most recent update.
And don’t feel sorry for us. The games that do have a PS5 Pro patch look and run incredibly well. This game in its current state is not indicative of what any of us have experienced.
@@bdgrey let's be honest having bought a £800 console with the disc drive you must feel a bit hard done to especially when your going back to ps5 base a console that you can buy brand new for little over £400 with a disc drive and realising the visuals are still fantastic. If it was me for double the price I'd want nothing short if amazing double the graphics double the frame rate with Ray tracing thrown in to that I'd feel gutted having paid all that extra money to just be getting slightly better resolution resolution that on 95% of games doesn't even make them look any different whist waiting for patches that simply dont exist and never will so i know how you must be feeling!!
@@r.p.mcmurphy22 I don’t care about a disc drive because I don’t replay games after I’ve played them.
What you get for $700 is a mid-range gaming pc that allows you to tweak your graphical settings to your preference. It comes with PSSR which is absolutely game changing, a better gpu, faster RAM, more storage, and an over clocked cpu.
So, pay $2000 for a midrange gaming pc (also doesn’t include disc drive btw) or $700 for this. You decide which is the better deal.
@bdgrey I think the ps5 pro will come into its own but I don't think that times now I think it's a good 12 months away right now with no games out and no games coming out in the near future there's no need for it and right now it's not worth the money it's the games that make the console not the other way round!!
@@r.p.mcmurphy22 Well, for me, I have yet to play Dragon's Dogma 2, Stellar Blade, Lies of P, Empire of Ants, or Resident Evil 4.
On top of that, Ghost of Yotei and Death Stranding 2 are right around the corner with GTA6 on the horizon.
I'm good. Plenty of stuff for me to play.
why bother posting this without waiting for the official pro patch? the game isnt patched yet...
Before you even think about buying a pro make sure you shell out at least 1500 on a tv that can take advantage of it. Your 300 hisense wont make much of a difference.
These are alao early first steps in the game when its not busy at all. When it gets to action expect even worse numbers or when its busy envirokents again expect even wkrse numbers
Ps5 pro vs ps5 .difference= 6 fps😂
👍👍
Its not 4K but 1440p. Dont lie
The sony ceo said that "yOu DoN't HaVe To CoMpRoMiSe ThE FpS FoR gRaPhIcS"🤓
No. PS5 pro didn’t come out to make this boring game look any better. It’s $200 more than the og PS5 because it’s packed with higher CPU/GPU+PSSR, so before all you broke commenters start complaining, get your facts straight. Wait until they start making games that you’ll never see on the og PS5, then we’ll see if you still complain.
What a joke 🤣🤣🤣
I just got my ps5 on a black friday sale and i'm blown away by it. Need to stop watching ps5 v ps5 Pro Vids tho 😯😂
having more fps doesn't mean been patch or enhanced, the Pro has bigger GPU so it will have better fps.
Yeah +10 xdd
2:39 I think you meant ps4 and ps4 pro
SONY Stop using up my memory by giving me game update patches for the Pro when I have the OG PS5 FFS.
+5 FPS? Can't even hit 60? that's it? Isn't everyone bragging that this console is more powerful than most high-end gaming computers? I have a mid-high range and it runs at 60fps lololol
"Enhanced" or patches means they'll use PSSR upscaling gimmick that runs on lower resolution instead of relying on raw hardware power.
Thats sad but i think youre right :(
It’s useless to waste all your computational resources on a high native resolution when ai upscaling can achieve near the same result and open a large amount of headroom for more graphical performance
people still saying the word ( patch )
please wake up ponies
work hard and get a pc thank me later
The irony being new games come out even less optimized for pc. Raw power can only brute force so much
I always wonder why consoles need a patch whereas PC dosen't...
I did my own comparison. Mine looks way better and proves the pro is a must have
Yeah the pro has a softer image in all games.
The same happens to me but the pro enhanced games look better.
If the game is not pro enhanced it may look softer
Patch is not officially out yet .
Standard looks better cause it's buggy on pro right now, shimmer everywhere
I see a difference the performance
Mode on the playstation 5 pro uses the pssr to make up for the graphics non mode on his green jacket it's more cartoon like and if you check the bunny suit the pssr makes bunny have no blood at beginning off game until games salt water destroys his first enemy.
PS5 PRO Peasant.
The pro patch isn’t out yet
Then why is it marked as Pro Enhanced? Remove the label until a patch is out.
Stop using this excuse, everyone uses this excuse. Its a 250-300$+ more expensive console, it should be capable of running most games that dip bellow 60FPS on PS5 Performance mode a lot at near locked 60FPS or 60FPS most of the times where PS5 Dips. I guarantee u over 80% of consumers cant tell a 5-10 FPS performance increase if it is not 60FPS. It even falls short of 90% of 60FPS (54FPS) where I think the its still alright if it dips to that here and there. And this isnt the only game, just about all games that dip bellow 60FPS or 120FPS on PS5 also dip on PS5 Pro. The PS4 Pro came out at the same price of the PS4 and was 3x as powerful, like cmon
Of corse it's been patched!!
brother i see more detail on the regular ps5 then the pro lol at 0:48
Patch isn't out yet
Omg, special for the haters among us. WITHOUT AN UPDATE YOU CANNOT SAY THAT THE SYSTEM SUCKS. FOR. For this game the devs are lazy to make a patch now what does not mean the pro is to weak.
But it looks blurrier on the PS5 PRO 😂
The road looks less textured.
This is the video I needed, thank you.
I call BS on this preview
It’s not patched, pssr is causing all sorts of artifacting.
Can you test on the first descendant ps5 vs ps5 pro
Sound like more cpu-intensive
Playstation is losing ground and doesn't know how to earn. About the ps5 there aren't many games and the new generation doesn't seem to like consoles.. This is obviously pure marketing. There's no point in changing it.
Sony are getting greedy, £100 for games and now this bullshit £700 for a console with no disc drive.. Microsoft will end up coming back
PS 5 Pro is a great reason to get PS 5
But, still better than normal PS5.
Definitely. The performance in heavy areas is in the VRR range now and it's 60fps everywhere else. Alpha effects don't drop the fps when right up in the camera and traversal hitching is mitigated or gone in load zones.
How about them apples the playstation pro is 1 4th the price of a 2000 dokar computer and it has newer technology like pssr and that's why there all crying over it , wait till batman comes out on it .
The only thing thats patched is TLOU and FF7 REBIRTH... but sony saud more than 8000 games run better on the pro?...
Bro next video wwe 2k24 i hope ps5 pro can run 60fps on both entrance and cutscenes
The normal PS5 is not sharper,,, it oversharpens the image...☝🏻
Ps5 pro better picture
Currently playing this in 60 FPS in 1080p at custom medium preset(shadows low) with TXAA on my low end card gtx 1660 super OC, 😂😂 paying 700$ for 1080p 60 😂
Even GTx 1650 gives same performance like PS5 lmfao
It does not look 1080p on the screen because of image reconstruction.
Mira que critique la PS4 pro Pero comparado con esto esa si fue un pedazo de consola
Down the line its gonna get better. But down the line ps6 is gonna be out. Xbox sx still plays red dead at a better resolution. Xbox is alot better. 400 bucks and i get better games
The ps5 pro is better lol Xbox garbage isn’t even close to the pro stop playing
Red Dead 2 has better resolution, but Red Dead 1 is better on PS5 with better image quality and 60fps.
How do you get better games on Xbox? They have the same games except Xbox doesn’t have the PlayStation exclusives.
@Someone-yt8gn xbox has starfield , splinter cell, fight night, asuras wrath, fragpunk, quantam break, fable, forza , halo. And gears of war. Also indiana jones and stalker 2. U need xbox to play day 1
These xbots are so funny
Thank you for content!
Can you pls check Star Wars Outlaws on PS5 vs PS5 Pro ? Thank you in advance !
Seems like there is no official patch for PS5 Pro from Massive, probably it will be on November 21st with big update. But still interesting of there any improvements. And this is looks like more content for you with comparison now before Nov 21st and after patch on Nov 21.
Ps5 pro better
Better than Bad does not get you far
Actually looks like sony employers just sell ps5 pro console and with the money upgraded gpu on his pc setup XDDDD
- Just a quick note guys: this game haven't receive a PS5 Pro patch yet, therefore no visual upgrade and almost no performance difference
Wait for the official update
I definitely see a performance increase. The areas that ran rough are now in the VRR range and everywhere else is 60fps. In the quality and performance mode the fps doesn't dip when alpha effects are right up in the screen and when traversing the game doesn't hitch in load zones as much or is gone. This is a better experience. But it doesn't have a PS5 Pro patch yet.
So many games looks or run even worse without possibility to play the better PS5 version 😂 alan wake 2 kills it all.
My 4070 super lock 60 with ray tracing on dynamic res 60fps at 1080p 😂
Pro will probably be about the same once this game is patched for it
@@proggz39 it cant its 60fps mode doesnt have RT
Blame the developers
Final fantasy 16 pro we need now and ps5pro
Hasn’t been optimized yet. Konami is lazy lol
Where is the 60fps in quality mode??? Ps5 pro only for getting money 💰.. not worth for 800€
Wat a scam of a console
Say "NO" ps5 pro
I though they fusion fidelity mode and performance mode in 1 place..player shoud enjoy the game and thoseis dev problem but nope...😮😮
There is No Patch yet
I have the pro and played some of my games that had the pro update and serious it is looking so much better and so much more stable. PSSR is a serious thing. If people say that its not are haters or dont saw a game with a pro patch
😂😂😂the patch not out slow down
It needs a patch.
