Failure to keep up with the regimen results in matting clumps so stubborn they can only be removed by cutting them out. I had two and it never ceased to amaze me how much fur they produced each month.

This is what I was going to suggest. Like a brown paper grocery bag that can stand upright on its own like a trash can. Any fluff that does get away is useful to birds for nest-building. I've never even considered brushing a dog in the house! LOL

I got 2 white shepherds & they shed all year around with their undercoat. My one shepherd sheds extremely right now. I actually like brushing them outside. That's because I use the vacuum or the dust-buster to clean up the grass. Works great!

I had a corgi, similar dual coat like Key. The mower can pick up alot. Birds get the rest for their nests.
