- Warhammer 2 Total War is a fantastic Strategy game combining A turn based grand strategy campaign with a RTS battle mechanic where you get to charge against rival factions over warhammer cities and map control. This game has it all from Regular Infantry, Jazzy Fast Cavalry, DRAGONS and of course ARTILLERY!!!! Today We are discovering if Total War Warhammer 2 Is A Perfectly Balanced game with no exploits or if ARTILLERY ONLY is overpowered and glitches the games balance... This was glorious, a little tip though, you can just send your steam tank in, instead of other units in order to clump up all the enemy, it's extremely hard to kill and since it's a single unit it wont be hit by most of the rockets.

Seeing how armor works in this game and the fact that steam tanks can be healed by life wizards, I'd say that's probably the best way to occupy the enemy for ages. Even better is the fact that Gelt provides an additional 10 armor with his passive ability, getting you that much closer to the sweet spot of 200.

Yes, this is true. There are better factions in the game to utterly cheese artillery: namely Lizardmen. Stegodons may be monsters, but they're also artillery, and it is a legit build that can wipe out multiple consecutive stacks battle after battle after battle. Helstorm Rocket Battery spam though is so easily countered by flying entities, cav, and monsters that's kind of sad. Granted, against infantry, Helstorm Rocket Batteries will delete infantry, no contest. But yeah, cheese Stegos, Necrofix Colossi, and other monster builds instead, you'll have an easier time.

The ultimate faction for stacking ranged buffs is likely the Huntmaster's Expedition. You lose out on the 10 % buff from Gelt and the 10 % from Wissenland as well as the 5 % for killing Wulfhart himself, but you gain access to a Dwarven master engineer and Wood Elf waywatcher which more than make up for that.
Between Hawk Eyed, Entrenchment, Ballistics Calibration, Extra Powder, the master engineer's ability tree and a huntsman general, you can hit missile dps numbers in excess of 4000 with the Hellblaster Volley Guns and well over 14000 for the Templehof Luminark. And that's without counting the Bright Wizard.
On another note, firing a 14000 dp10 Luminark shot at Luthor Harkon only to deal less than 400 damage makes you appreciate just how much magic resistance that lord is able to stack.
Or you confederate him as Gelt. Then you also get the Wood Elf and the Dwarf.

Yes, Wulfhart starts with all 4 heroes at once. It's kinda hard as lizardmen to get rid of him. I just dont know if he will get the items and special skills for them.

Yeah. Right. This army doesn't work out that well. It will die against the first skaven ambush that comes along. Also Mammoths. Also Necrofex Collosi. Also Primeaval glory armies. The only reason why this works is probably because you're in the empire and there's neither big monsters nor rats close by.
I love this genre of game, and I would actually love to see Spiff play it unedited. a big ol' 8 hour video or however long it takes to pull this stuff off.

@Spiffing Brit: The biggest exploit is recruiting a hero stack for Lizardmen (with the trait Pompous) or Beastman (with trait Nurgles stink), as they lower enemy leadership to zero, if you have enough. That means the enemy will rout the moment they enter combat. Its hilarious

But yes, Beastmen are easier, as they get -5 not the -4 the lizardmen get, but Lizardmen get Dinomounts so they can easily defeat unbreakable armies as well

But one has to consider that you can spam starchambers as lizardmen, meaning you can recruit the heroes at level 25 with only 4 provinces
I just surround a fire slann and two skink priests with temple guards and literally nuke the other army with comets and fire tornados. With all the winds of magic skill buffs I can wipe out half of two whole stacks doing this. The enemy ai sometimes breaks and flees in the first five minutes of this.

I find giving my Helstorms creative liberty tends to go better than microing them. Also, something I found out right before my PC tried to strangle me: If you use the Laboratory, you can get over 280,000 troops on a single battlefield. They're Skaven, of course.

1:10 Actually they are more based on the Korean "Hwacha", which is a form of rocket artillery. This artillery was very effective against the Japanese in the Imjin wars (1592-98) because of their dense formations.
What people don’t realize is that this is actually how the game was meant to be played. They designed it so you can make almost anything super OP.
Pretty much. It's why I like mods that limit both you and the AI so you can't just doomstack everything and win. Doom stacking single entities or high end missile units/cav units is pretty much unbeatable. Steam tanks, star dragons, stegadons and necrofex I would say could never feasibly be beaten even if the ai had 4 full stacks.

@@Iceman96051 Depends on unit sizes. Single entity units are very strong in Small unit size battles, but practically useless in Huge. In Huge, I have seen peasant mobs kill dragons with a death of a thousand cuts, while on Small, the same dragon can destroy and rout the same peasants in seconds.
It is the same reason why Doomcannons became memes. On Huge/Large, they are your cookie cutter artillery; functional, but not exactly broken. On Small, they can one-shot elite units due to their tracking and the explosion radius being large enough to hit three quarters of the models in a unit. Have three of them in your army, have them each fire off three salvos before the lines meet, and you have pretty much halved the enemy army. It's nuts.
Bretonnia super peasant mobs (with Blacksmiths all across the maps) kind of exemplify this.

It will take a really really long time for Balthasar to reach lizardsmen at that pace in legendary and any monster army or even a few stacks of infantry is able to defeat it. There is a limitation on ammo.
Well they have dinosaur with ballista on it's back. Good luck defeat that doom stack 15 of them and 5 agents on their mounts

The two empire doom stacks were Steam Tank doom stack and Beast wizard doom stack (for their mount). Steam Tank is far more expensive but easier to spam than having 19 high level hero's

But clearly request Spiff to consult Legend each time. Like legendary difficulty is the main diff people play on. I play TWW in legendary half of the time and when I unlock a legendary diff achievement usually less than 5% have it...
I like how he's swooning of the all the damage boosts and kind of just forgets that DPS is also influence by rate of fire until right near the end.

I smell the burning death it's called Spiffing Fire!! But where is your Queen she should be in this game.
One thing I've always hated about Total war is the amount of micro. If they could make like a setting (think like formations and speed options at the bottom of the screen) to auto attack appropriate enemies within a radius around the unit (similar to how skirmish troops firing arcs look), that would make a world of difference, hell you can even make a bunch of new tech to go along with it, improving their targeting and increasing their radius. It could also be balance in a way that it will only trigger if they have no orders (move/attack) and will return to their original position once their are not more enemies in range.

Todbringer might actually have Germanic roots from “tot”- the German word for death, which effectively would be Ian, Bringer of Death. Kind of a badass moniker
dude, it is literally a german word. "Tod" is the noun death in German. "tot" would be the adjective "dead". "Bring" is the same in English as it is in German, as well as the noun "Bringer". And as German has compound words, "Todbringer" is literally a legit German word that means "Death-Bringer".

・Fraud Wraith: all Buff from target immediately cleansed and applied to user.
Can be countered with Yorkshire Gold Tea.

Didn't know missile dmg was for artillery. Thought it was only for ranged units like gun and bow units. Thanks for the info!

Was there "Mitenka" somewhere between? Aleksei got Aljuska, I don't remember if there was others. I don't remember which Ivanovits got.
