I understand about miis not having so much attention like they used to during the wii era but with the latest Wii Sports game with these stupid childish avatars as a replacement for the miis it was a huge breaking point. A big betrayal. I just hope Nintendo doesn't make the same mistake whenever they make sequels for the wii series games. I'm starting to lose my faith in them.
On the other hand, there is a Tomodachi Life resurgence as of the past few years, likely spurred by both nostalgia and CCs like Poofesure and Big Yellow making videos of it. EDIT: Alpharad and OneyPlays are also noteworthy TH-camrs/channels who played Tomodachi recently. There's clearly demand for Tomodachi in the west, but I have no idea on the demand in Japan.
I really hope Nintendo doesn’t ruin another franchise like they did with NSS, throwing out the miis and replacing them with avatars that makes us mii fans really mad and hurt. It SICKENED AND INFURIATED ME. If they do that again to another mii franchise then I don’t know what to do… but I hope they don’t do that again…
I hope Miis never go away. I absolutely love them creating an Anime version of what I would be like on Switch is and look like was by far my favorite thing. Giving my Mii red eyes and red hair. I absolutely love it.

I just got two Mii T-shirts (one StreetPass themed, one with Matt, Abby and Miyu on it), so you can probably tell what my *hopes* are...but realistically, I imagine at least for the Switch branding era, they'll stick around as a legacy feature in the settings. Depending on where things go, the next time they refresh their image big time, they might rise again or drop off the face of the planet :-( time will tell!

Those stupid sportsmates avatars was the worst mistake Nintendo has ever made. It was a huge breaking point for me as they made those stupid avatars as the main focus for the latest Wii Sports games instead of the miis. If it weren't for the miis, the wii sports series would've never existed and replacing them with those lame sportsmates felt like a big betrayal.
You saying how you grew up with the Miis hit close to home. Being raised on Nintendo from the Wii era and having many memories playing Wii Sports, Wii Play, Nintendo Land, and so many others featuring the Miis means I have so much fondness for these characters. I really hope Nintendo doesn't choose to abandon the Miis and that Nintendo fans continue to be do-or-die for one of the best avatar creator systems in existence.

In my opinion, i don't really think Nintendo would abandon the miis just yet, i mean we saw with the MK8 dlc that they got more Mii costumes from Tour, a surprise that i wasnt ready for, and cutting Miis from the Switch 2 would also a bad idea, And i don't know WHO IN THE HELL THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO HIDE THE MIIS IN THE SETTINGS. I just really hopes the miis makes a really REALLY big come back.

I became instantly depressed once you reminded me of those Wii channels. Especially Check Mii Out Channel!! 😭😭😭😭😭 LIFE WAS SO SIMPLE BACK THEN. Nintendo used to have so much charm man. But it’s like recently, most companies are now anti-consumer. I’m ngl, for some reason, it’s like the Wii U killed whatever interest they had in Miis. I really believe that’s why we haven’t seen Tomodachi Life for the switch. Because that REQUIRES them actually bringing back the Miis. I know they brought back Miitopia. But, I feel Nintendo for some reason doesn’t wanna acknowledge Miis for the Switch. Idk why. I feel like Tomodachi Life is very hell bent on their acknowledgement and desire to bring back the Miis. i always feel that since the wii u preformed so awful for nintendo and they used miis a lot i think by the time it got to the switch they wanted people to forget about the wii u and miis playing such a big part in the wii u they wanted to distance themselves from that with the switch which is quite sad :(
I hope they bring the Miis back to their glory. I grew up with the Wii, I love the Miis and I don’t want to see them go. I want them to stay, they are a crucial part of Nintendos legacy…and we need them to stay. I hope the next Nintendo system (the Super Nintendo switch) will bring back that Nintendo charm that the Wii/WiiU/DS/ and 3DS had. Like, GIVE US MUSIC IN THE MAIN MENU AND MII MAKER! Hi, I feel like especially for a mii like me, we all deserve more attention. Sure there’s already quite a bit of stuff featuring us in general, but I honestly think that there should be more games that give the main attention to miis like me. Because, I feel like Nintendo completely ditched me in terms of a character within games, and I feel that soon, within the next major Nintendo console, I’m really praying that Nintendo releases some game that focuses on the miis, or some kind of Swapnote sequel or remaster, because I feel like either of those options could revive miis, especially me
I highly doubt nintendo would get rid of miis. The idea of you being in the game is really iconic to many of series. ( mostly mario spin offs but still) I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't the forefront but again, I don't see nintendo getting rid of them

People kind of stopped caring about the Miis after Nintendo switch sports was popular and kind of forgotten about them. Which sucks because you just don’t FORGET about something you like. Many complaints were made about miis in Nintendo switch sports fame. This is a really bad stretch btw but making these complaint videos to rake In the easy pay check from their yt video complaints. and just forget about the miis is insulting. So I’m glad you are still commenting about this issue.
Miis are actually one of the greatest avatars ever made. Not only because they launched along one of the greatest home consoles of all time they're just simple, charming, allowed for so much fun and possibilities even for you to make your regular Peter Griffin and Spongebob. They're a one in a million chance for a company like Nintendo because they just fit in so well, and I hope Nintendo doesn't play stupid this time and ditch them because as you said "I thought Nintendo was better than other companies". Bring them back Nintendo :'((
I agree so much with all of this, they were simple and charming and everyone could make whatever they wanted with them and throwing all that away is a MASSIVE mistake I HOPE Nintendo doesn't make.. 😭
It sucks that for the Switch you can only create up to 100 Miis per console however in the Switch version of Miitopia you can create up to 500 Miis. Seeing that the Switch version of Miitopia has some advanced customization for the Miis there might still be hope for them, but if Nintendo decides to dash those hopes and throw their hard work to waste, I'm done with them.
They are on Nintendo Pikmin Bloom and Nintendo Animal Crossing Pocket Camp on Android, and Apple iOS! Don't want to forget that! But as for me, I do not want to go with the Nintendo Switch, since they added cartridge game titles originally found on Steam. Bad Move Nintendo!
Miis should still be a profile option, but Miitopia Switch has not crossed 2 million units. I think Spring 2024 is the last opportunity for Tomodachi Life before the new console.
My guess for mii being gone Hass to be because the higher-ups at Nintendo are at the moment. Priority is pro Business over pro consumer right now Should hopefully change when the next president or higher-ups get swapped out.
And also like you saying your video, I think it also Hass to do with Nintendo want to cut all ties related to the Wii U even in their conferences, they don’t even count that even existed

With the gaming picture quality being better then it was back in the Wii, Made the Miis not aged well on HD displays let alone 4K. As for Switch Sports it was a HD game that needed characters for the role
Imo the extra features in the Switch's Miitopia proves you can add new features and add to miis in an enjoyable way and let everybody make their miis even better so I wouldn't say they didn't age well
Jokes aside though, it's a shame that the much more advanced miitopia mii maker has not been pushed as the primary mii maker. Unless Nintendo makes some kind of AR/VR experience (which is unlikely in of itself - as I'm pretty sure VR is against company culture at nintendo) - I have doubts that Miis will be making a major return, though they'll probably stick around in sequels of legacy software.

Miis are actually one of the greatest avatars ever made. Not only because they launched along one of the greatest home consoles of all time they're just simple, charming, allowed for so much fun and possibilities even for you to make your regular Peter Griffin and Spongebob. We go from Mii Channel on Wii, Wii U, and 3DS, to Mii Settings. It bugs me. If Nintendo discontinues Miis, then I’m not waking up the next day.

It sucks that for the Switch you can only create up to 100 Miis per console however in the Switch version of Miitopia you can create up to 500 Miis. Seeing that the Switch version of Miitopia has some advanced customization for the Miis there might still be hope for them, but if Nintendo decides to dash those hopes and throw their hard work to waste, I'm done with them.
They made miis better (well, more complex) in miitopia remake and then... Abandon them?

Miis should still be a profile option, but Miitopia Switch has not crossed 2 million units. I think Spring 2024 is the last opportunity for Tomodachi Life before the new console.
Sadly that has passed.. This June Direct is the Switch's last chance for real for real so we will see!

My guess for mii being gone Hass to be because the higher-ups at Nintendo are at the moment. Priority is pro Business over pro consumer right now Should hopefully change when the next president or higher-ups get swapped out.

With the gaming picture quality being better then it was back in the Wii, Made the Miis not aged well on HD displays let alone 4K. As for Switch Sports it was a HD game that needed characters for the role

Imo the extra features in the Switch's Miitopia proves you can add new features and add to miis in an enjoyable way and let everybody make their miis even better so I wouldn't say they didn't age well

Jokes aside though, it's a shame that the much more advanced miitopia mii maker has not been pushed as the primary mii maker.
Unless Nintendo makes some kind of AR/VR experience (which is unlikely in of itself - as I'm pretty sure VR is against company culture at nintendo) - I have doubts that Miis will be making a major return, though they'll probably stick around in sequels of legacy software.
