Corruption is everywhere but after watching videos about people paying to play in F1 and now this, I've nearly no respect for this sport. Not the racers, the sport.
The whole "F1 is Ferrari" is utter bullshit. I would've told Enzo to fuck off, that if they can't compete without tremendous advantage then they do not belong to F1.
Balestre was the most corrupt person. I can’t write my opinion using the words I’d like to. As Senna fan for 40 years I can’t express my displeasure for this gentleman.
@@alexshank1414 Balestre called himself a dictator, live on TV. He'd say "my decision only good decision therefore best decision" live on TV, he gave zero fks
And yet gave us zero titles, albeit he favoured on multiple occasions fellow French companies or drivers such as Peugeot (1986 Group B rallying, closed an eye on banned "skirts" and let them winning a title Lancia would have deserved) and Prost (1989, as a Senna fan I think you know)...
This is a completely biased video. It totally ignores the fact that Ecclestone and Mosley practically stole the F1 rights from FISA (today FIA) turning F1 into a money-making machine. F1 is NOT A SINGLE BRAND, but the collection of the brand value of each team. People watch F1 to follow their team, not just because it is F1. The split in the revenue money set in the concorde agreement reflects this simple fact. Ferrari negotiated the amount of brand revenue it deserved, taking it away from the pockets of Ecclestone. And if this is not yet clear, look at it this way: Most of the money comes from TV rights, which are directly proportional to the number of spectators watching the show. The same logic applies to ticket sales at circuits. How many spectators would F! lose if Ferrari were to leave F1? And to a lesser extent if Mercedes, McLaren or any other famous team were to leave? On the contrary, how many spectators would F1 lose if some of the smaller teams left? Ferrari negotiated the figure with Ecclestone, rightfully threatening to quit F1 rather than being stolen rights to its brand. Ecclestone agreed to pay Ferrari an amount equivalent to what he would lose if Ferrari left. And BTW. this reasoning is still perfectly valid today, and there are many Ferrari fans that would be happy for Ferrari to compete in a true sporting event with clear and independent rules - not the caos that CVC and Ecclestone have created, where regulations are interpreted on the fly. And before anyone complains that it is FIA's fault... follow the money, look into FIA's budget, and understand that FIA is totally "owned" by Liberty today. If the promoter were a non-profit organizations, and teams were left to their own marketing revenue, then yes, prize money should be the same for each team. But as long as you have profit making enterprises like CVC/Ecclestone (worth billions today) or Liberty today, then profit needs to be shared based on brand value. So, the biggest corruption scandal did happen in those years, but the corrupt duo was Ecclestone and Moseley. IF YOU WANT TO BE FAIR YOU SHOULD DO A VIDEO ON WHAT HAPPENED AT THE FIA GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING ON JUNE 28th 2000.
The problem is, since they already have the most share with the TV rights which is fair enough.. The VETO is the one that is just priceless and insane.
mostly agreed. The 512 BB had an engine (BB stand for Berlinetta Boxer) that was by definition a flat and not a boxer. It is definition and not on how the cilinders are layed out.
In 1982, at Imola, the FOCA teams were absent simply because their cars were IRREGULAR as they were racing UNDERWEIGHT. No political issuess... simple CHEATING.
Ferrari have always been the very center of F1 even when they aren't always in winning times. It's the symbolism Ferrari have with the Stallion horse as their emblem. The Stallion is wild and hard to tame, a quality seen in many of his drivers. There's Ferraris national racing color of red ,a color always meaning "stop" , danger, fire and blood ! They are the pure team of F 1 and if they left it would cost the sport a huge loss in fans and viewers. And no other team has nearly that same attraction and power that Ferrari has. Any other team can leave and nobody would notice ! But Ferrari? That would be trouble for Formula One !
Ferrari in the early 2000's was the catalyst for me to start watching F1 as a child. Saw Schumacher wiping the floor with everybody and winning the 2000 Brazilian GP in his scarlet Ferrari...got hooked immediately! Been watching F1 and supporting Ferrari ever since.
For me it has been Sky buying everything. I can stand long stretches of dominations by a driver and/or team, that can be in the nature of the sport. But forcing me to pay to watch? I know it might not be an enormous amount per month, but it's a question of principle: I still remember when Formula 1 was on public TV when I was a kid, and should have remained as such.

Suzuka 2006 unfortunately we can't say nothing, it just was a reliability issue and bad luck. What we can say is that between 2004 and '05 Briatore basically lobbied FIA for the radical rulebook overhaul, and "magically" his Renault team won back-to-back double titles in '05 and '06. It's everyone which uses dirty tricks behind the scenes, picking up on just one is stupidly biased.
Everyone have different opinions in F1. The stories and facts obtained by bloggers is another level all together. I never believed anything said even from the original Formula One organisation. FIA is getting worse by the day from greed and profiteering. Just enjoy as much as one can, or else just leave this sport which many have.
It’s like old man Ferrari said I MUST WIN and it was given to him on a plate, it now changed it’s the other team that cries foul now it’s called RED BULL SHIT
Make a video about Red Bull cheating in every way imaginable during the Vettel era. Rubber noses, flexible wings, cold blowing, hot blowing, using political influence to have Pirelli change the tyres…
Surely if those things were illegal, they’d have failed testing. No way did the FIA and all the other teams just turn a blind eye to all of that if it were actually definitively illegally
This is ridiculously unfair but it isn't really a corruption. I already knew this story and watched the whole video waiting for the apparent acual corruption. Unfair agreed upon contracts are not corruption. corruption: dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery. not THEY HAD A MEETING IN A ROOM
And when FOCA (English) team wanted to leave - Basically, we are accusing Ferrari of trying taking advantage of a situation others were creating. In the end, it's a bigger scandal that then-FISA went on a compromise with FOCA and basically left them 50% of Formula 1 - It's more them having bought the World Championship than Ferrari!
So Ford vs Ferrari was only the tip of the iceberg... Who would have guessed... *sarcasm*. Tbh this somehow makes me understand why the Andretti team hasn't gotten in the F1 category through this day.
This opinion piece blames the wrong villains. That's not to say that Ferrari are angels, far from it. If you cannot identify the real issues at play, it's bollocks.
Try that now in 2024 and they'd show Ferrari the door. Well I would There is enough old school manufacturer talent and new teams. Kiss 'em goodbye, F1 doesn't need the Scuderia, there is plenty replacements.
Ferraris overly sweet monetary deal rewards Ferrari for its past glorious history, and not for current nor recent success. Ferrari have not been the Ferrari of old, way old. However, that ridiculous deal to get more money even win your race record sucks, is not corruption. Mr. Ferrari used tactics to negotiate that deal, and others buckled under and agreed to. They shouldn’t have done, but they did. That’s not corruption, that’s piss poor negotiating, because they were scared that without Ferrari F1 would not survive. F1 racing fans have proven that they like F1 and it can absolutely survive and thrive without Ferrari. The current owners and operators of F1 need to know and use that and call Ferraris bluff. Here’s the question they need to pose to Ferrari. How long and how strong can the Ferrari brand stay that high if they dropped out of F1? Ferrari used that tactic back then to his advantage, bit now that no longer has the power it did back then if it had any validity t\even back then. Call Ferraris bluff, treat them like every other F1 race ream, and bring that will bring some balance and fairness to F1, because it needs it, and the fans deserve it. Without fans and their hard earned money F1 has nothing, and Ferrari have nothing.

14:22 the circuit is called Zolder, not Zolda.....
"180° V12"... thats not a V-Engine, thats a flat engine.
The 512 BB had an engine (BB stand for Berlinetta Boxer) that was by definition a flat and not a boxer. It is definition and not on how the cilinders are layed out.
I love your videos man keep it up
In 1982, at Imola, the FOCA teams were absent simply because their cars were IRREGULAR as they were racing UNDERWEIGHT.
No political issuess... simple CHEATING.
Don't care. Points for Osella 😍.
The World is full of corruption !
"The Fall" of what? Not even a minute..
hamilton should fit right in! 👍
I don't expect f1 stopped, with their 2021 efforts, it seems status quo from the 80s. No doubt
Ferrari in the early and mid 2000's was the catalyst for me giving up on F1 as a child
mclaren in the 80's should have been
@@JohnSmith-rw8uh that was before my time on earth started
So if Ferrari "bought" F1 in 1981, why didn't they win a drivers championship for the next 19 years?
because hes spreading lies and made up things Ferrari saved F1
@@parabelluminvicta8380people are just jealous at Ferrari
@@idontknowwhatnameuse English people, which always pride themselves to be the best in building sportscars (and must be admitted, they are good at it), probably aren't very happy to see us m*fia-pizza-mandolinos having built the most famous car brand in the world, and thus need to have an excuse ready in the case 😆😆.
Because this fucking idiot being british has no fucking clue how f1 works or even went in the past (and no, i'm not one of those dts merchants who started watching the sport a couple years ago, i've been following the sport for over 15 years)

Good stuff, constructively, calmer voice would be even better 😉
I say they let them leave. Ferrari is a meme in the F1 community, they don't need it.
F1 would be nothing without Ferrari 😂 I'm obs jkin... Great video btw 👍 loved it
...WELL,FERRARI IS still AROUND,ISNT THAT??
...SO...WORTH IT........
....BUT THERES ANOTHER ISSUE,THO.....I'D INVESTIGATE WHY MICHAEL'S ENGINE BLOWN UP AT SUZUKA2006 WHICH TOOK AWAY TITLE FROM HIM THIS YEAR
Suzuka 2006 unfortunately we can't say nothing, it just was a reliability issue and bad luck.
You will soon receive lawsuits for defamation. I wish you have evidence of this 😂
Well I suppose there was a Constructor’s title in 1999, but y’know
Everyone have different opinions in F1. The stories and facts obtained by bloggers is another level all together.
I never believed anything said even from the original Formula One organisation.
FIA is getting worse by the day from greed and profiteering.
Just enjoy as much as one can, or else just leave this sport which many have.
"the Zolda Circuit"?!?
The only thing I don’t like is the Veto power that Ferrari has. Outside of that this video was a little too biased.
Can you make a video about all the drama surrounding 24 Hour of Le Man? 🤩🤩🤩
What man ?
So corrupt as well as boring. Yet another reason not to waste time watching it.
"Ferrari, when you here that name whadda ya think of?" Corruption? Sorry, Italian Corruption!
1:03 next year is our year… typical remark by Liverpool “fans” 😂
Biggest pile of rubbish ever heard. Please make a video about mclaren stealing engineering documents, that is the biggest scandal
He did, almost a year ago.
It’s like old man Ferrari said I MUST WIN and it was given to him on a plate, it now changed it’s the other team that cries foul now it’s called RED BULL SHIT
"Formula 1 without Ferrari, can you image that?" Yes. Yes I can.
Wasn’t called ferrari international assistance for nothing
2:33 is that Steve Rider?
I’ve only recently gotten into F1 and I’m assuming everyone is giant fans of Lance Stroll?????? 😂😂😂
Corruption is an Italian word
Ferrari Fans are wilding rn
This is me when I misinform :3
Almost everyone in this story is corrupt and even worst than Ferrari 🤣
Enzo Ferrari was HIM😮💨
So Ford vs Ferrari was only the tip of the iceberg... Who would have guessed... *sarcasm*. Tbh this somehow makes me understand why the Andretti team hasn't gotten in the F1 category through this day.
You never disappoint us 👏👏👏
Q: Ferrari...when you hear those letters, what's the first thing that comes to mind?
A: F
Wait ? So they still get an advantage today ?
This opinion piece blames the wrong villains. That's not to say that Ferrari are angels, far from it. If you cannot identify the real issues at play, it's bollocks.
Try that now in 2024 and they'd show Ferrari the door. Well I would There is enough old school manufacturer talent and new teams. Kiss 'em goodbye, F1 doesn't need the Scuderia, there is plenty replacements.
im a ferrari fan is true what you said but im still a ferrari fan ❤
funny after all the crap the english teams havve pulled, this guy after has a nerve
Enzo would be very dissapointed to see what his team became🥲. At least he secured a bonus for them so they don’t feel like complete losers.
History is a funny thing, who has just moved to Ferrari Lewis Hamilton who wants more than a swansong season interesting 😂
Without F1 and Ferrari we would not have the semi-automatic gearbox. From F1 to daily drivers!
What a ridiculous assumption.
@@Despiser25 Agree
Funny that people thought F1 could not exist wihtout Ferrari. They are so shit now nobody would miss them in terms of the racing.
