- I am one of four Wardens living and working on the Calf of Man, a remote island, Bird Observatory and Nature Reserve located in the Irish Sea. The island is owned by Manx National Heritage and run in partnership with the Manx Wildlife Trust and we are here for the season, that runs from March to November. At the age of 28, I have just quit my job to pursue a different lifestyle, a simpler way of life closer to nature. Through these videos, I hope to share why island life is so special by giving you an insight into the way we live and what we do here day-to-day.

Hi. I live in Castletown and only moved to the IoM about 6 months ago. My wife and I are desperate to get a visit in to the Calf of Man, it always looks incredible from The Sound. We’ll have to bring some treats over for the team!

Why is the Calf of Man referred to as in the UK? The Isle of Man and Calf are outside of the UK.
