Amendment: it's preferable to use spark powder over wood as fuel for the cook pot to avoid making dye unintentionally.

I used spark 10 yellow n red berries 1 cooked meat 1 fertilized dilo egg water 5 fiber 5 purple berries n it makes dye instead of basic kibble what am I doing wrong
So the reason the kibble recipe doesn't work and make dye without charcoal is because I used water skin instead of a jar of water???
@@hi-yiwongmanous3081dont use sparkpowder in a cooking pot for kibble or charcoal. Thats for dye. Only use thatch in a cooking pot. But as soon as you can, make an industrial cooker. I dont know why she uses a cooking pot. That is for beginning of the game just to make basic kibble.

This has been the best beginners series for ark I've found so far and it got me to finally load the game up on my xbox series x. First time I've played since the games release and im having loads of fun. Thanks for all the hard work!
I recently decided to start playing single player (played before with friends who had way more expierence than me) and found your beginners guide trough your base locations video. Never had to do electric circuts or water pipes and we never made kibble as far as i know xD so im glad i found this series. You really did a great job at explaining me things I didnt know i had to know. I hope the next part is online soon. Want to see this beginners world continue and I think i can still learn more
I will be continuing the series in March when my Monarky season finishes :)

This was such a great video thank you so much . The other videos I watched did not tell me I needed to add water & fiber . I was looking at the pot for 10 minutes not understanding why it wasn’t working 😂🤦🏽♀️.
Finally downloaded ARK after years of watching playthroughs and 100 Days and no one explained kibble quite like this in all that time! Thank you very much🙏will def be referring back to this vid throughout all my future map playthroughs
A little tip, you donde need all that different kibble just extraordinary kibble, that works like the prefer kibble for all dinos, so just tame a very low level male and female Yutas, I usually tame 3 with prime meat or mutton and use the eggs to tame everything else that is at level 130+

So glad that you are enjoying the series! My plan is to start a brand new guide in the same style when the new remastered Ark comes out in October. A lot of the core mechanics are going to change. For now I am focusing on let's play Ark content :)
It’s best if you just craft a butt load of the top kibble because it tames every dino.
This series has been great, me and some friends are picking up ASE (our PCs can't run ASA) and your info and presenting style have both been amazing!

Another brilliant beginners guide!
I think I picked up a recipe from a drop before I tried cooking anything more than meat, and at first I thought it was necessary to put the recipe in the cookpot and was worried about how long it would take to find all the recipes, hopefully people can see from the video that you don't even need to have the recipe, you can just look it up on the wiki or in this video and chuck the right ingredients into the pot. In fact if you do wait until you find the recipes, they don't have exact quantities anyway so you still need to just chuck a load of each ingredient in and see what happens
I've got slightly ahead of the series and have been playing on a server with SS mod, and I'm not sure if the question I'm going to ask only relates to the SS cookpot or if it is valid for the normal one. When I first tried making kibble in the SS cookpot I kept getting dyes and was advised to use it with thatch instead of wood so it doesn't produce charcoal, which changes the recipe to one for a dye - I notice you weren't having that problem. Is that just something related to the SS cookpot, or were you just lucky and do vanilla players need to consider it too?
During the time I was recording this video , the vanilla cookpot only made one lot of brown dye. It does still make dye if you use wood as fuel, but it happens at a slower rate than with the SS pot because it crafts slower. You could try turning off auto crafting in the SS pot as a solution :)
Well i don't know what platform you play but i need the engram recipe to cook with the pot, meat and fish are no problem
@@peterang6912 I am on PC, it should be the same for Xbox and PS5. If you're playing Ark mobile or Switch that could explain why it's a bit different?

Along with garden if you tame a mewing will make all the eggs you will need I did it and was the only tame i need to make all kibble

This game has already been out for 6 years, so there are LOADS of videos on just about every aspect of this game to help you through different creature tames and abilities, breeding, building, and game progression. The next game in this series is supposed to come out in 2023, so this game may stop receiving updates shortly thereafter.
After the island are you going to do beginner guides for other ark like scorched earth and crystal islas

Do you have any recommendations for settings as most of the dinos are very low level
I think it's only possible to improve your chances of getting higher level dinos to spawn by using the Custom Dino Levels mod. You would need to be on Unofficial PC (Steam) to use that though. Finding high level dinos on The Island map is notoriously difficult!
This beginners guide is great but, maybe it's just me, it seems to skip a lot ahead at times. Like now you have a lot better armor and a ton of points to spend and etc. I am doing a single player game and never played before. Is there a "campaign"? You mentioned before about some papers or something (sorry can't recall). Is there and end game so to speak?
There is no campaign, but there are bosses at the end of each map if you should choose to progress towards them. However some folks just enjoy exploring, building or taming without ever doing any bosses.
I did a lot of in-between work on my Twitch live streams. If people would find armour guides or levelling guides helpful, I would be more than happy to make those when Ark Survival Ascended comes out in August :)

i want to know how build the walls so perfectly can u show it in a video or where u building it ?
I built the walls of my base off camera as it took quite a long time. As long as you have clipping enabled, you can snap walls to foundations Instead of fence foundations. You can clip the regular foundations into the ground and build the walls up from them creating a wall which is even in height :)
I put all the ingredients for chilli but it makes dyes instead like 9/10 times or more, I change nothing yet it will work sometimes
Try adding spark powder or thatch instead of wood for fuel. That should solve it.

No you will need superior kibble for Argentavis (pink kibble). You can use the Ark wiki to work out how much you will need according to your settings.

Very well put together videos you're making. But I personally wouldn't recommend to newer players the use of wood to fuel the cooking pot. Not when making kibble anyway. It creates charcoal, which in turn will create paint and use up the berries. I've seen plenty of people in the past say they can't create kibble, and this is often the reason... They're not keeping an eye on it and immediately removing the charcoal when it appears.
This a fair point, I'll attach a message to the top of this channel mentioning to use spark powder instead. Thanks for the feedback.
How do you not take damage when you jump off blondie? When I jump off mine I take like 25% off my health I’m damage 😢
It depends from which height you jump, and also how much health your character has. I like to put a lot of points into my characters health but I will still lose a little bit of heath if I jump from a certain height.
@@MissVadams10 I figured it out, for some reason the server I was playing on had fall damage turned way up. I switched servers and now I can survive falling off a little rock
Are all the eggs you use to make kibbles have to be fertilize eggs?
They can be fertilizer or unfertilised but generally if I'm using the primitive cook pot that has limited space, I'll use the unfertilised eggs as they stack so save space

Yeah once you have enough Special Egg layers and the resources needed, you might can focus on just making Extraordinary kibble. It is useful when you are starting ouy to make the lower tiers though.

Nope it worked when I made this video and to my knowledge it still works now
One thing I've noticed is that you haven't warned the beginners about pegos and keeping mejos in the last slot on the hot bar
4minutes 33 seconds into my 2nd video of this series I talk about it, not really much need to go over it in this episode when I'm in my base making kibble, hopefully they can't get through the walls anyway!

Nice but the problem is no recept for the kibble..I have all the ingrediënt but can't make the basic kibble because no recept for the kibble where can i find the recepies
If you watch the full video you will see that I have the recipe on screen for each type :)
@@MissVadams10 yes but i don't have the recipe so when i put the stuff in the pot i get a messege recipe engram missing or something like need to learn engram recipe... I just started this game and by some of the stuff you need engrams from caves or boxes.. then you can make food, weapons or other stuff..only things i can cook in the pot are the things i need turkeybones fore.. because those resipes are all ready in the pot when you click it..
@Peter Ang to make kibble you don't need any engrams, just put the ingredients into the cooking pot, make sure it has water and fuel in, and then after 30 seconds, 1 piece of kibble will be made. It would be a lot easier if the recipes were displayed in the pot!
I should clarify that I am playing on PC, if you're playing Ark mobile or switch, it could be a bit different.
There is one kibble that requires spark powder instead of wood to power the cooking pot as if you put wood it will make dyes instead of kibble. i found this the hard way and didn't know why i keep getting dyes instead of kibble ( i think is the basic kibble that i'm talking about)
@@bullwyrk using spark powder is a great way to avoid accidental dye crafting. If you have more than enough ingredients for one piece of kibble then the kibble will be made alongside the dye.
Wait does thylacoleo egg acctually give extraordinary kibble
Thylacoleo are mammals and don't lay eggs. The extraordinary kibble can be used to tame them though.

Instead of taming all these different dinoes you can actually just go and tame yourself a maewing since they drop all the different kinds of eggs!
This series is set on the Island and the Maewing can't be found on that map. Otherwise this is a possibility, but the chance it drops the Exceptional and Extraordinary eggs are less likely than the others

Don't make all kibble. Just make extraordinary kibble find dragon eggs. Honey fibre Lazarus chow and mejo
Depending on the map you're on there may not be any Wyverns. No Way erbs on The Island hence Yutyrannus eggs are used here

It should show up in your cookpot or industrial cooker after you have crafted it, it's always worth double checking that you have water, all the ingredients and the fire/cooker turned on :)
