Thanks for watching! And I’m actually using 6pin pcie to 8pin. No shotty bizz here! This particular PSU sends 150w to each 6pin plug so I don’t expect any issues.
Yo, I got a z640 too! it’s a m6000 quadro series with a 1650 v3 planning on a 2080 ti and a 1680 v4 would it be recommended for the 26xx v4? and thoughts on the dual cpu riser board? and how’d you get the connectors? i only got 1x 8 pin for the ps. I really can’t find too much about z640 builds ‘-‘
Thanks for watching! Sounds like you got a beefy z640 yourself! The 1680 v4 would slightly better for gaming as there is a higher single core boosts on that chip verses its 26xx counter parts. If you are trying to save a buck, I would recommend the E5-1667 V4 as it’s a much cheaper chip and boosts slightly lower. Now if you are using it for other stuff like productivity more often and want more cores, lots of E5-26xx V4 chips like the 14c or less going for very cheap. Not to mention if you wanted to use the riser board you would need a 26xx chip as only those can run in a dual cpu configuration. Personally I think a second chip adds more latency but if you want a crap ton of cores go for it! As for the 6-8 pins, it’s luck of the draw. My build came with 2 6-pins from the seller so I just used adapters as seen in my first video. It may be because my build came with a 925w PSU and could allow for two. Hope a little of this was some help!!!
@@radiatorpapi thanks very much! trying to get this thing into vr specs range so, it helps alot to have this info ^^ tried to looking for bios modding with no success sadly
This guy is pretty good.
😎😎
I did something similar but used it with stock cpu, added a bit of ram, upgraded gpu, but used it for more retro games.
Which CPU did yours ship with?
@@radiatorpapi , Intel Xeon E5-1620v3 3.5 10M 2133 4C CPU
It is a pretty old machine from about 2016
Nice! And you still have a upgrade path to like a E5-V4 if you wanted!!
good shit but dont be surprised something catches on fire. the 3080 ti is a pretty beefy card and a sata to 6 pin isnt known to be very safe.

Is the server cpu not a bottleneck for the gpu?
@@Lewis-fr9mu oh it very much is XD
Where did you buy the CPU from@@radiatorpapi
@@Lewis-fr9mu eBay :)

i wasa complete moron and didn’t know it was actually two 6 pins 1 was tucked in the front fan and 1 was converted to an 8 pin lmao
It happens man! Glad you found the other one!!

You look so cute!
T…Thanks 😅
