It's always blown me away that crap like this gets made and sold. That hammer multitool thing is hilarious! Thanks for the video, I enjoy and appreciate your channel!
It's always better to make your own survival and bugout kits. Customize it to your needs and buy items that won't break the first time you use them. Med kit definitely needs wound cleaner solution and antibiotic ointment. It could also include a stitching kit. A couple of totes full of items like food, personal hygiene items, TP etc. Be truly prepared.
I've bought a couple of the actual bags, but empty, off Ebay. then I've just stocked one as a small but comprehensive first aid kit, and the other I'm currently building up as a custom bug out bag, stocked with my own selection of different bits and pieces. I may get bigger bags later as my ideas change and what I want to carry does, but for now I have a couple good little kits ready to use, stocked with hand picked, good quality items.
Always good to have a sense of humor when doing a review. Wondering who is the one deciding what goes in these bags. Reaching around in the factory and seeing what's available to shove in. Have a good weekend
To be fair, it WOULD be a decent starter kit if they had been a little more selective with the items. For $50, I could have put together a decent starter kit. It may have been smaller but it would be better quality.
Please send this kit to me! The twine being frayed on the ends is a good thing. This way you can use the fray as tinder without waisting paracord. The shovel, blanket, bellows, hammer & axe, redundant whistles, paracord bracelet and first aid case are mostly useful. I would like to have seen a water bladder and some purification tablets to supplement boiling water. That bottle holder can be used for other items. Maybe not worth what you payed, but 29.99 would be a fair price! Let me know how the flashlight works!
Man, how many bottle openers do you need. It feels like they just found everything that had a bottle opener on it and threw them in a bag together. This kit was hilarious. Thanks for the in depth unboxing
I wanna take it out and put it through it’s paces just for fun. Might make for some interesting content. My issue is, I have a horrible time setting cameras up to film myself lol. It’s one thing in my studio where I just shoot from a single camera angle. Man I’m lazy. Lol
You are correct. I’ve paid for name brand stuff that lasted half as long as some of the cheap crap I’ve bought. I love buying the cheap stuff just to put it through it’s paces. Some of it surprises me.
In south africa we have a similiar kit only thing it doesnt have is the shovel. The axe hammer multitool is super blunt. And its a bit more expensive if you go from south african currency too us currency.
Yeah 50$ is a little steep I’ve seen similar ones going for 20$ …. The knife 🔪 spork thing looks cool 😎… But the rest of it looks like garbage 😂 Well in a real survival situation you have the potential to make fire 🔥 and the Mylar blanket might be handy beside that That’s it 😂😂 great video
Here's the deal. I have this kit. It's all i can afford on welfare. I did buy some extra stuff of better quality and had some stuff lying around, but if your life is in danger, and this is all you have, you'd be grateful.
I got a very similar one off of Temu for free. It’s a decent bag but I soon replaced a bunch of components that were already in it with better quality ones.
I’ll have to check out the Huntsman. I have a Farmer (I believe that’s what it’s called) that I could drop in it but I was thinking more along the lines of a Mora 511.
I'm not sure whether is me but you seem to get better made cheap flashlights in supermarkets than you find in a lot of survival kits in case I recently got a small 9 led flashlight at my local supermarket for £2.75 and has a power of 300 lumens the only drawback to it is when you unscrew the base you can remove a central core that holds 3 triple A batteries that are included most in that range just take 1 battery may or may not be included so the value you get from different company vary wildly
You gotta expect cheap in these kits when they are trying to build them on a tight budget. If I paid $50 for it, they probably paid $25 to make it and that $25 had to include each item. I don’t buy these kits for quality though. I buy them just to see wha rounds crap they will send me, lol. I HAVE found a few decent items in some of them though. Some of the folding knives I’ve got in them are still in good working condition and I use them frequently. I wouldn’t bet my life on them but they weren’t all that bad! Thanks for watching!
Honestly is not a bad kit from the ones I’ve seen has crappy tools but really isn’t that bad. But for 50$ I think it’s out of budget for what you get. The actual bag looked pretty cool to me
The bags is “ok”. It’s about the same quality as the cheap molle bags that sell for about $20 on Amazon. Honestly, I have bough worse kits. I think I have enough of them to put together a “good-ish” kit out of the contents of them all. Maybe I’ll put together a Chinese crap survival kit and take it out for a camping trip some weekend.
some of the items looks ok i had that shovel before and bent it first time using it haha great review thou also i love the idea i can call optimus prime with the flash light 😂🎉💪🏻
Surprisingly the shovel isn't too bad. Its pretty solid and should work fine for "normal" use. I've been tempted to take the whole kit out and put it through its paces BUT, i'd rather give it away to someone before I destroy it.
Haha I got the same kit. However mine was only 33 dollars but it didn't come with a spork it came with a cheesy folding silverware set that kinda fell apart in my hands. And it didn't come with an axe hammer multitool just a regular multi tool. Yeah I felt the same way, everything in this kit was very cheesy. Mine came with a "self defense pen" which I still cannot help but laugh considering the kit comes with a knife and a shovel. I'm gonna take it up camp and try some of the stuff out anyways. I have one thousand bottle openers so at least nobody will go thirsty. No matches or super glue though which I figured would be cheap and easy accessories to this kit. Instead we have a million bandaids and we can dick around with the fire starter for 30 minutes instead of instantaneously LOL
This is meant to be a starter kit, side kit to main kit or like me because i know how to use cheap kits effectively, Not so fun fact: The mylar blanket has lead in it as they are allowed to put lead in them
I agree that the kit is WAY overpriced, and that most of the stuff WILL break during or at least after the first use. They counted things like the Q-tips and bandages as multiple items to get the I believe you said at the start, 142 items. Most of which you could buy for 1 or 2 dollars at a general store and get a lot more of the item. The little hatchet is interesting, and would be useful in some situations, but is NOT worth more than 5 or 6 dollars, same for the shovel. I hope you had something hit you in the back (your change from your 50 dollars), or at least your wife gave you a hard time for spending 50 dollars on something worth maybe 15. Anyhow, thats my two cents on this kit. Hope you have a great rest of your day, 'cause IMHO, you got ripped and gipped!
I buy the crap and give my opinion on it so others don’t waste thier money OR get stuck with a kit such as this and have it put them into a worse situation. Any money I spent was generated from TH-cam revenue and I made my investment back with TH-cam revenue as well. And, buying and reviewing these kits is fun. Sometimes you find a diamond amongst the trash. Example being the non branded folding knives that I have found in a couple of these kits. I have been using one of them for over a year now and it’s never let me down. I don’t use it as a primary blade but it’s a great backup.
I get redundancy and all but, why not with something useful? An extra knife, more cordage or how about more ways to start fire? Why bottle openers???😂😂
@@NEP_Chris I agree , out of curiosity I looked up "camping gear " on my various websites recently and about 40% to 50 % had a bottle opener .... I dont get it but but yeah totally agree ,could of been better.
Alcohol is not the only thing that needs a bottle opener some other beverages need a bottle opener. And if alcohol is the only thing you have left you would drink it.
@@petercampbell1287 I think I mentioned them didn’t I? Lol. I may have missed them. I never intended to release this video. It was in my redo folder. 🙂
Mostly. It had a few items that were “ok”. The shovel was decent. The knife just needed some oil and to be sharpened. The fire steel was big enough to last for a good long time and I kinda liked the design of the spork and how sharp it was. If I don’t end up giving it away (not hitting the 250 likes), I’m gonna take it out and use it on an over night in our woods.
Not sure how a dull 1 inch blade, flat head screwdriver, bottle opener and janky improvised wrench will help me in a survival situation. Face it, those cards are trash. At least any that I’ve actually tried.
It's always blown me away that crap like this gets made and sold. That hammer multitool thing is hilarious! Thanks for the video, I enjoy and appreciate your channel!

thats true, and you can always swap out the cheap items for better quality gear as you can afford it.
$32.89 today.
