The next film in the monsterverse franchise is Godzilla X Kong: New Empire (2024). But if you really want to watch Godzilla Minus One just to see it, it recently just came out on digital.

I always thought the idea of Kong and Godzilla as "rival alphas" in Nature was rather absurd. Without that axe Kong is totally outclassed, as this movie clearly underscores.
Dude the axe I hope you know doesn’t phase godzilla or even hurt him lmao, like I told many people that axe became an axe bc of one of godzillas sisters or brothers because if you clearly cannot see that scale is one of the gojira s lol, need better eye sight my man, and if you want any obvious answer or wanna ask me any type of questions regarding any godzilla movie plus this one, I will be happy to give you guys the answers since I doubt you guys would be able to figure it out
Godzilla is the father of all titans, he’s also the original guardian of nature and order so if any titans disrupt or disturb the balance he will go beat their ass, tell them who’s the real king, godzilla is about 464 ft in this movie but they made him a lil smaller and thinner to be more agile so I’ll say 460 ft and shimu is about the same maybe a couple ft taller but don’t worry when godzilla is fully evolved and formed since he hasn’t even reach his heaviest or tallest height but you can expect between 20,000 ft to 100,000 ft but yes godzilla is the father of all titans and he’s the king of all monsters he has many many names given to him by humanity, like upbringer of nature and balance and a bunch of other names and he also has a bunch of titles added to his name and under his belt, but ya godzilla ends up killing 4 titans in this entire movie, he kills Scylla first then Tiamat which were apart of godzillas titan army here on earth in his world on earth, but he also has 4 titan armies in outer space since he and his kind/species are from outer space and they’re origins are way more mysterious and unknown than ghidorah, now back in gvk last movie apex used ghidorah’s mind to influence the mecha bc ghidorah was pissed at godzilla bc godzillas species practically wiped out ghidorah’s species and kind in outer space, now when the godzillas came down to earth and entered the hallow earth there was a huge war between the godzilllas and kongs the godzillas ended up winning and defeating and killing kongs ancestors. Now kongs and the apes aren’t titans but they are protectors of humanity. The titans are like titanus gojira(godzilla) and Scylla and Tiamat and all them pretty much all monsters except for the kongs and apes, those are protectors and that’s the whole title they have. Godzilla is unknown age, I will have to figure out how old he is, since he’s the father of all titans and since he and his species/kind are the oldest titans in the mv and kaiju verse, now shimu isn’t the mother of all titans she’s old but she isn’t that old like godzillas age, godzilla was around before she made the first ice age, way longer than that also, so that makes shimu technically either 2nd oldest or even 3rd oldest from ghidorah. Now the only reason mecha/ghidorah was able to beat on godzilla last movie was bc of plot armor, Adam wanted the movie to feature that and have it in the setting to set up kong for his redemption arc, he saved Godzilla even tho Godzilla could never die, since mecha has all the tools and weapons of godzilla and the g man eats radiation every kind of radiation so, mecha beating on him didn’t really faze titanus gojira at all, it might’ve made him a lil weak or so but just a small portion, since there is no way to kill Godzilla or any titan to kill the king of all monsters for that matter lol. Godzilla kills 4 titans in this entire movie first he defeats Scylla and kills him, and eats his radiation, next was Tiamat which her radiation was pink, and so when godzilla defeated Tiamat and killed her, he consumed her radiation which made godzilla evolve and turn pink. The frozen wall that was built around godzilla, no shimu didn’t do that since shimu was in hollow earth not on the surface so that was either godzilla himself to keep himself hibernating and absorbing the radiation there, or it just happened over time. The other 2 titans that godzilla kills I won’t mention since those 2 will be instrumental in the next godzilla solo film, yes godzilla will get another dozen solo films, same as kong, there was a trilogy at least between godzilla and kong so we just had 2 so there will be one more between them. Maybe more down the road or future. But ya godzilla would’ve killed shimu but he set her free from skars control, shimu knew godzilla from back then before skar turning her and using her to start ice age, and they were friends, so that’s why godzilla didn’t kill her, but ya he could of very easily. Shimu isn’t as powerful or strong as godzilla, but she is powerful that’s for sure. But just not on godzillas lvl since godzilla could eat planets and devour them, and either consume them or conquer each one of them, but he isn’t that evil, YET!!! Sorry spoilers. But ya when godzilla frees his friend shimu, shimu then joins godzillas titan army here on his world on earth, then he still has his 4 titan armies in outer space to call upon which he would never, for anything. Titanus gojira is the most powerful and strongest kaiju and alpha titan in the mv and kaiju verse.
Yeah, this film is big dumb fun. It doesn't pretend to be anything more. You have to respect a movie that knows what it is. As a movie, Godzilla Minus One is practically the polar opposite, and a great experience even if you aren't a Godzilla fan. I would strongly recommend it.
The spilling alcohol on the console to short it out was a throwback to RJ MacReady dumping his booze in the Chess computer in The Thing. Similarly, Ghidora having come from Outpost 32 is a nod again to The Thing (which takes place in US Outpost 31, which was destroyed). Yay for commentaries.
Alot of people love Kong and say he's better. But the problem is for these movies they had to really buff/add abilities to make Kong even equal to Godzilla. Normally he's no much, thus he's king of the monsters. Not the end of the world of course, it makes for good movie magic to make Kong equal in power.
I love the nod to the 1962 Toho Studios movie King Kong VS Godzilla. When Kong shoves the handle of his axe into Godzilla's mouth, it parallels the '62 movie when Kong force fed Godzilla a tree.
This movie was epic, especially when we get to see how Kong and Godzilla became enemies in the first place and how it all led up to this very battle. plus I love seeing the new version of Mechagodzilla
11:40 correction it's the second time, don't forget the first time was in Godzilla KOTM where he fought Gidorah (Monster Zero) in the ocean, ripping one of the heads, even almost died when hit by the Oxygen Destroyer Nuke while fighting in the water.
Yeah, I feel the same as you about the human parts of the movie. But eh, we got some cool fights between a giant gorilla, a giant lizard, and a giant robo-lizard! Personally, I find that the Japanese-made Shin Godzilla (2016) and Godzilla Minus One (2023) have the best human parts, each for different reasons. Of the American movies, Kong: Skull Island has the best human parts, and is probably the best film overall, although a lot of that comes to personal taste, of course.
Godzilla x kong is about to surpass godzilla 2014 at the box office. It is now at 522 million dollars. Pretty soon it will surpass kong skull island too and become the highest grossing film from the monsterverse 😃. It still has a chance to cross 600 million. If that happens, it will become the highest grossing godzilla and kong film, ever. 😃
Yep, you figured out why Godzilla attacked that factory right away. You're exactly right when comparing them sneaking around to her stealing the orca from the terrorists. Fun fact, Mechagodzilla slicing that skullcrawler in half was the same pose as when Ghidorah blasted Rodan out of the sky. I like how both Godzilla and Kong had their wins in this movie.
is it tho idk when is this movie taking place but lets say around 2020 so thats 47years so for such a short time he grew that much does that mean Kong is not even 100years old in total also this means that he will grow even bigger then Godzila, they just had to pull that size growth bs so that he can be on par with Godzila
When Mechagodzilla faces off against the original, he makes three distinct sound effects, showing that it's Ghidorahs consciousness that has taken over.
Godzilla Minus One is NOT part of the Legendary monsterverse franchise. It is a Japanese stand-alone Godzilla movie about post-war Japan. The next film in the monsterverse franchise is Godzilla X Kong: New Empire (2024). But if you really want to watch Godzilla Minus One, it recently just came out on digital.
why don't you buy Kong being almost as big as the G-Man? He was a teenager back in his solo movie, set in 1973,at a height of 31 meters,in 2024,51 years later,he's 103 meters, around 20 less than Godzilla. Indeed, there's also the fact that, from GvK moving forward, the MonsterVerse depicts the Titans in their actual size, unlike in the first three movies, where it was exaggerated for the purpose of sense of scale
These Monster verse movies just keeps getting better and better. Most notably because of the story line, epic battles and character development. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see your reaction to Godzilla X Kong The New Empire.
This movie is closer to the earlier Goji films in terms of quality and goofiness. The next one takes the goofy action and runs with it, but the human characters are a little stronger. Minus 1 is also really good. The human drama could be it's own movie.
Fun fact there was a real King Kong and was placed in a Zoo. He was an extra large African gorilla each movie seems to have to make him even bigger. The old Empire State shot was about 10x larger. This one 10X that.
Hi Clariss, I really enjoyed your reaction to Godzilla vs Kong Your reaction was the best and happy may the 4th be with you !! Hope to see your reaction to Godzilla and Kong new Empire someday.
Clariss you should also watch godzilla minus one. You see, this monsterverse is the cheesier version, its a homage to the showa era gojira, while godzilla minus one is that darker, grounded and more emotional godzilla film, a homage to the original 1954 film. Gotta watch both versions to get that balance.
I’d very much like to point out, GODZILLA’S TECHNICALLY THE VILLAIN HERE. Like yeah the humans and Mecha, but for the most part, he was the most constant antagonist. Also Mecha is Ghidora from the last movie, and it’s the head Goji ripped off in their ocean fight. That makes sense when you notice he went WAY harder against Goji than Kong in the final battle.
The reason Kong got so big(besides obviously the need to make him big for the fight) is that Skull Island takes place in 1973, and GvK in 2024. In skull or island we were told that he is a teenager and still growing. Perhaps during the time, a gene activated that made him grow exponentially.
It's possible "Skull Crawlers" are a natural predator to the giant apes, and killed them before they could reach their full size. When Kong killed "the big one" there was nothing left to threaten him.
but thats just 51years and based on his original size and his growth in for this movie are we to asume that Kong is the yongest titan who is not even 100years old
11:12 why what's the issue? If Kong was the same size he was back in 1973 the year Kong skull island took place where he was 112 ft tall and he fought Godzilla who is still 393 ft tall Kong would've lost easily. So they have to make him bigger 337 ft in this movie and the next movie the new empire in order to fight Godzilla. 15:06 that's what they're doing putting him in the hollow earth his original home. It's not safe on skull island anymore. 21:16 this is Godzilla we're talking about a couple of smash human structures mean nothing to him if there's a enemy that needs to be killed. Now if this was the Godzilla from the 1970s a version that's a full on good guy and has let his grudge with humanity go then that's a different story. 25:08 he's never been cuddly. 28:18 cause they have plot armor. This has been a thing since this franchise started this isn't anything new
Jadd J.A.D.D. Jadd This movie and the next one were just tons of fun B with ok main human characters on Kong's side. The fight sequences are amazing and cinematic.
If you're looking for more kaiju movies, I recommend Shin Ultraman next. Also, this movie was technically a win for Godzilla. He won 2 out of 3 rounds.
Kong winning the round two was impressive, but I can't deny the ferocity Godzilla shows in round 3, so much that Godzilla ended the fight in a short amount of time. Goes to show that Godzilla has been toying with Kong all along.
You should react to Ratatouille! It is a really cute animation movie and it’s all about food 😋 Or you can also react to a series called Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss 😁
This is a good enought movie.... but it's soooo obvious that they had no idea what to do with millie bobby brown's character, or the godzilla side humans fo that matter
Love it always on godzillas side I don't like the story of Bobbie brown it was just dumb and annoying in this one also love how at a center point in the last battle against Kong godzilla was just playing with him at first and then he got serious and basically killed Kong since he caused his heart to stop for a few seconds also love how the director said if godzilla hadn't used a lot of atomic breath to tunnel into the hollow earth and then fight Kong he could have easily beat mecha godzilla but cause he used a lot of energy and fought Kong that's why he needed Kong help
Question: Could you check out Five Nights at Freddy's next?? I like it (besides being a FNaF fan, I enjoyed it as a movie in general) and I think you may as well. Also, Anastasia, now owned by Disney, is another movie I think you may like, since I am hot off the heels of your Hunchback of Notre Dame reaction, and you seemed to like it, so I believe you may like Anastasia as well
Despite how the trailer for Godzilla x Kong: The Empire making it look well, dumb and a waste I say it in theaters 5 after opening day and it is well worth seeing. It is better than this one, not that this one was bad it was just lacking in the character development and to me that hurt it a little. I still really enjoyed all of the monsterverse movies and want more.
Yeah, this is the point where they dispensed with any remaining pretense of seriousness or realism. The monsters move too fast, technology jumps 200 years so we can have Mechagodzilla, and physics exist or don't exist based on the scene. But in exchange, the action is super fun and there was no shortage of it. This and Empire are decent homages to the Showa Godzilla era.
Honestly dude, this one and Empire are so frikkin good i feel like they finally really NAILED what they were always aiming for with Empire and this one is awesome too. BEST time ever to be a goji fan i swear
Sure the plots silly, its a monster movie but i love that they dont nerf Godzilla to big up Kong and Mecha. Give Kong the axe (which is made of a literal part of Godzilla/his species) to aid Kong so its a more even fight. And then straught after Godzilla uses enough radiation to dig a hole to hollow Earth AND fights Kong have him immediately have to take on Mecha tired and wounded. Adds stakes without undermining the mythos and legend of a character.

Dude the axe I hope you know doesn’t phase godzilla or even hurt him lmao, like I told many people that axe became an axe bc of one of godzillas sisters or brothers because if you clearly cannot see that scale is one of the gojira s lol, need better eye sight my man, and if you want any obvious answer or wanna ask me any type of questions regarding any godzilla movie plus this one, I will be happy to give you guys the answers since I doubt you guys would be able to figure it out
Here for more proof I’ll send you all my proof that I have wrote down
Prepare for some long essays
We ain't here for the script!
The one thing these movies do particularly well is alluding to a greater lore.
Alot of people love Kong and say he's better. But the problem is for these movies they had to really buff/add abilities to make Kong even equal to Godzilla. Normally he's no much, thus he's king of the monsters. Not the end of the world of course, it makes for good movie magic to make Kong equal in power.
Clariss on the b plot: that's dumb
Clariss on the a plot: Yeah, fight!
Awesome reaction of my favorite Godzilla movie!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊
Yeah I Know MechaGodzilla (1974 - 2021)
Yep, you figured out why Godzilla attacked that factory right away.
You're exactly right when comparing them sneaking around to her stealing the orca from the terrorists.
Fun fact, Mechagodzilla slicing that skullcrawler in half was the same pose as when Ghidorah blasted Rodan out of the sky.
I like how both Godzilla and Kong had their wins in this movie.
11:10 Considering Skull Island took place in 1973 , he grew a lot since then , so the size is justified
is it tho idk when is this movie taking place but lets say around 2020 so thats 47years so for such a short time he grew that much does that mean Kong is not even 100years old in total also this means that he will grow even bigger then Godzila, they just had to pull that size growth bs so that he can be on par with Godzila
When i try to imagine what an entirely Ai generated movie would look like this is what comes to mind.
When Mechagodzilla faces off against the original, he makes three distinct sound effects, showing that it's Ghidorahs consciousness that has taken over.
Why don't you buy the equality of size ? Kong was a teenager when you saw him in Kong - Skull Island, he has grown up since then.
If you don’t think too hard then you can enjoy the movie.
Let’s go Clariss. If you decide to do a TV series I recommend Vikings on Amazon Prime or The Last Kingdom on Netflix
Mechagodzilla is a classic Toho monster and one of Godzilla's recurring enemies.
Like Godzilla There's been many incarnations of Mechagodzilla.
HILARIOUS ACTRESS CLARISS REACTION - TO GODZILLA VS . KONG (2021 ) FILM - FIRST TIME WATCHING !!!!!
why don't you buy Kong being almost as big as the G-Man? He was a teenager back in his solo movie, set in 1973,at a height of 31 meters,in 2024,51 years later,he's 103 meters, around 20 less than Godzilla. Indeed, there's also the fact that, from GvK moving forward, the MonsterVerse depicts the Titans in their actual size, unlike in the first three movies, where it was exaggerated for the purpose of sense of scale
Godzilla X Kong is gonna have 10x the monster fight
These Monster verse movies just keeps getting better and better. Most notably because of the story line, epic battles and character development. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see your reaction to Godzilla X Kong The New Empire.
Excellent. That's my 4.20 viewing sorted
Here's a heads up: Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire will be coming out on digital on May 14th!
If you haven't seen it yet please watch Pacific Rim. It's another fantastic Kajiu battling movie with Idris Elba and Charlie Day.
9:20 I don’t think the actor is deaf but she can’t talk, she can only speak sign language
I didn't like how Godzilla was reduced to a supporting character. They didn't even play the Godzilla theme song.
Mechagodzilla is rogue because they used Ghidorahs skull. So ghidorah's psychic imprint took control
This movie was basically Scooby Gang Meets Godzilla and Kong - and I’m okay with that.
If you think this movie is cartoonishly insane wait till you see gxk the new empire
Dope reaction only thing i was disappointed in was the scale of the monsters felt small for some reason compared to the previous monster movies
Godzilla vs King Kong would be like Superman vs Batman. In either case, a "true" fight would easily won by the first of each pair.
Godzilla is a brainless bully
Hi Clariss, I really enjoyed your reaction to Godzilla vs Kong Your reaction was the best and happy may the 4th be with you !!
Hope to see your reaction to Godzilla and Kong new Empire someday.
I definitely prefer King of Monsters, but I felt like this one was more fun, lighthearted, and I liked that too
Clariss you should also watch godzilla minus one.
@9:20 I'm pretty sure the little girl is actually deaf in real life, 4th generation, from the info I've found.
She is.
that King Ghidorah head they are using, took over the Mechagodzilla, coz alien stuff...
I really want you to react to the original 1954 film and Godzilla Minus One as well as many of the other films
Jadd
This movie and the next one were just tons of fun B with ok main human characters on Kong's side. The fight sequences are amazing and cinematic.
I highly recommend the Transformers movies they are really badass.
If you're looking for more kaiju movies, I recommend Shin Ultraman next.
Also, this movie was technically a win for Godzilla. He won 2 out of 3 rounds.
Agreed. Shin Ultraman was great!
You should watch Minus One. The general consensus of it is that it's arguably the best Godzilla movie
And stupid Lionsgate is keeping Minus One from being released digitally in the US until later this year!
@@randallwright1973 that's why we sail the seven seas ⛵ ⚓ 🦜
@@zy1an I never try that with new, popular stuff. 😳
@@randallwright1973 it's been 6 months since it originally came out I think it's fine
Kong winning the round two was impressive, but I can't deny the ferocity Godzilla shows in round 3, so much that Godzilla ended the fight in a short amount of time. Goes to show that Godzilla has been toying with Kong all along.
Legendary Godzilla atomic breath is to kill other Kaiju
Godzilla minus one: hold my beer
I have great news for you Clariss: Godzilla x Kong The New Empire will be available to watch on the 14th of this month! 😁😁😁
You should react to Ratatouille! It is a really cute animation movie and it’s all about food 😋
Or you can also react to a series called Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss 😁
The next film is on digital may 14
This is a good enought movie.... but it's soooo obvious that they had no idea what to do with millie bobby brown's character, or the godzilla side humans fo that matter
"Did they just make their own Kaiju that's remote controlled by a person inside?"
No it's actually even more irresponsible than that
I will forgive you for not screening the original Godzilla vs King Kong movie. It was Ghastly!
Question: Could you check out Five Nights at Freddy's next?? I like it (besides being a FNaF fan, I enjoyed it as a movie in general) and I think you may as well. Also, Anastasia, now owned by Disney, is another movie I think you may like, since I am hot off the heels of your Hunchback of Notre Dame reaction, and you seemed to like it, so I believe you may like Anastasia as well
Now for the new empire to rise.
they fr wasted dr.serizawas son in this would’ve been a perfect role for a sort of revenge story
thanks for reacting
Despite how the trailer for Godzilla x Kong: The Empire making it look well, dumb and a waste I say it in theaters 5 after opening day and it is well worth seeing. It is better than this one, not that this one was bad it was just lacking in the character development and to me that hurt it a little. I still really enjoyed all of the monsterverse movies and want more.
12:52
Godzilla: Welcome to the big leagues Donkey Kong.
Kong: ZZZZZzzzzzZZZZZZZ!!!!
Clarisse: I think Kong's a better hand to hand fighter, he smart, he plays dirty.
Godzilla: Are you sure about that? 💀
Yes Kong is definitely the better fighter and smarter and indeed does play dirty than Godzilla.
@@David_Scar Godzilla: allow me to disagree while I humiliate this monkey for the second time 😂😂😂
Yes, the actress that played Jia is deaf.
You should watch Godzilla 98
lol they tried to Truman show King Kong =P
PLEASE REACT TO GODZILLA MINUS ONE
Yeah, this is the point where they dispensed with any remaining pretense of seriousness or realism. The monsters move too fast, technology jumps 200 years so we can have Mechagodzilla, and physics exist or don't exist based on the scene. But in exchange, the action is super fun and there was no shortage of it. This and Empire are decent homages to the Showa Godzilla era.
This movie is dumb and i love it. And i think you gonna love Minus One.
Tenho certeza que os MUTOs, Ghidorah e todo o resto também não acharam Godzilla fofo kkk
King Ghidorah did Take over The Mechagodzilla.
Honestly dude, this one and Empire are so frikkin good i feel like they finally really NAILED what they were always aiming for with Empire and this one is awesome too. BEST time ever to be a goji fan i swear
Can't wait for ur reaction to Godzilla x Kong the new empire if u react to that movie!
YOSH!❤️🔥
Sure the plots silly, its a monster movie but i love that they dont nerf Godzilla to big up Kong and Mecha. Give Kong the axe (which is made of a literal part of Godzilla/his species) to aid Kong so its a more even fight. And then straught after Godzilla uses enough radiation to dig a hole to hollow Earth AND fights Kong have him immediately have to take on Mecha tired and wounded. Adds stakes without undermining the mythos and legend of a character.
