Problem is it's too expensive if it doesn't have a lot of functionality, putting them in an awkward space where they'll likely have to piss off someone.
@@sirgog While GGGs lack of communication is doing them no favors, I think at this moment it's not quite right to assume that they would intentionally do that for the small amount of extra money it'd bring in. Especially when they are porting over so many mtx from poe1, it doesn't make much sense to assume they won't port the map tab over either. Additionally, if you go into the settings menu in your stash (top right cog) you can see the tabs that they haven't ported over yet, and the map stash tab has text that is different from the other stash tabs and says it is "coming soon". Seems to me they just did not get a chance to finish it, and since most people aren't at maps yet it's a lower priority.
One of the advantages of a premium tab is that you can rename it, which can help with organization. However, you can do functionally the same thing with standard tabs by creating a stash tab folder with only one stash tab in it. You can't rename standard tabs, but you can name stash tab folders whatever you want even if they only have standard tabs in them.
Same here. I was shocked and disappointed that they didn't. The whole point of the flask tab was utility flasks. Replacing them with charms and not putting charms in the tab , is truly a disappointment.
The decision to go to 2 flasks and charms was pretty late before EA. I think there's a very good chance that they will still do this, but it wasn't high on their prio list for last minute changes before EA. It might seem silly, but they likely won't even make a decision like this without meetings and discussing every detail like "what should the tab be named if it holds more than just flasks". Since that kind of stuff takes time from multiple decision makers at once, they have to use that time for the most important stuff.
@sirgog Off topic but, I haven't seen anyone mention it; You can combine 3 maps into +1 tier at the Reforging bench Also, I see a lot of people struggling to maintain maps; I'm easily maintaining T15s with the following strategy: Save your highest map for the Boss nodes; Travel with -1 to -3 of what you want to be farming
I've been wondering what that's for. I figured I'd 3 to 1 some amulets like a recombinator but it didn't take. So is it like the old 3 to 1 vendor recipes then? Where you can upgrade life flasks and shit for example as well? Feels weird to get it in act3 if it's just for maps so there must be other stuff that works right?
@@reznovvazileski3193 You can also use it to Re-roll items. 3x Same bases and same rarity will result into a 4th random one of the same Base and rarity. Example 3x Magic Temple Mauls will result in another random Magic Temple maul

What's your use case for it? Usually if I have, say, a level 12 Fireball, and unequip it, I don't really need the level 12 Fireball back, I can grab a level 12 (or higher) uncut instead. And if I swap a support it's similar. Once a gem is improved by Jeweller's Orbs, I'm less likely to unequip it. Not arguing here, I just don't see much use (except to list all your gems for sale maybe)
@@sirgog I think it might be a good idea to horde t3 supports specifically because theres no level requirements so it helps a ton when leveling new characters. Its helped me on my reroll from Sorc to Deadeye

Thanks for the video. I was honestly hoping to see more about flask & gem tabs. Flasks might be good for hoarding bases, and gem could be a nice way to organize them (regular tabs get pretty cluttery with gems if you just affinity-dump them.)
Not sure how best to communicate this cause ultimately it needs to get to GGG. they should include an option to alter which stat all stat bonus skillpoints give. if you need to change the stat an early point offers youre met with a horrible situation where you have to respec your entire tree (or alt path) to change the stat it gives you
I showed quad, squares are 50% smaller each direction. It's 24x24 but the same screen size as 12x12. You can buy as many as you want; never recommend buying more than 1 of the 'special' tabs
Essence tab is a much better value in poe1 where you can quickly have hundreds of essences spread out across all the different tiers and keeping them organized and upgraded is annoying
@sirgog in 2 I'm not at end game yet but I'm not sold on needing much more than a single stash tab lol. There's just not nearly the amount and variety of drops. In 1 essence isn't essential (heh) but it is a nice value if you're ever focused on farming them. Nowhere near the value of my other more critical tabs. Im so sad that the map, breach and expedition stashes arent in the game. Precursors could be in the fragments tab tbh. cluttering up my stash tabs completely.
Where I didn't like the gemtab at all for poe1, since we've got so many spare uncut skillgems right now in poe2 if you plan playing a second character it is kind of nice to have anyway. That just allows you to deck out a second character that much faster by frontloading the skills while keeping them neat and organized by level. By no means mandatory like some tabs in poe1 feel, but I have actually spent the point to get myself one here because there's just so many of them and vendoring seems like a waste since I plan to play multiple characters before launch.
Just want to make certain : standard 20 point tabs are able to have affinities set? Or when you say "standard tab" do you mean premium tab? Thanks for the poe2 recommendations!

Definitely true, but I'm pretty sure it's just placeholder art for now and we'll get better art at least by full release. They might be waiting to finish the implementations for any other stash tab types they've got (looking at you, Map tab), or they might have additional Essences or whatever that they're planning on rolling out and want to iterate on the layout before they work out the final art.
Nothing is worth buying until they start respecting our time, we are beta testing their game for them which is fine it’s what we were told we would be doing but until they make respec cheaper or free it’s pretty much impossible to play the game unless you exclusively play something you know is good already. They’re actively punishing us for trying stuff out for ourselves, if it’s bad (chaos dot, most non frost wall/archmage ele, etc) you’re fucked because respec is prohibitively expensive and if it’s too good then it might be nerfed and then you’re fucked too. I’ll wait until they get a grip then come back.
@@-dubu they just massively buffed almost everyone. Only obviously broken stuff has been nerfed. Agree on the free respec but I'm glad GGG have learned not to repeat past mistakes where they left broken things unnerfed and let them be a boot stomping on build diversity.
@sirgog for sure, I absolutely agree it needed nerfed and the mechanical change to trigger skills is a big improvement and the balance will come later, but what about all the players who can’t play the game because they don’t have 500k to respec or a build they know will function in the short term, and will live more than a few days? What about blood mage players who talented their ascendency and now need to reroll AND unspec their ascendency? I have 400k and at level 84 that’s barely enough to change anything on my tree and if I need to remove ascendencies too that’s insane.
