Made it to meachum and had to comment. In my time watching UT, meachum stands out as a vol legend for me. He made so many outstanding catches, and you always new he had the 1st down. But, you knew there was a very good chance he would score. Had no problem running over or dodging the defense. So fun to watch!

@mckinneyjw he was so dang good. He was the biggest signing day surprise of the last 40 years. Nobody so that one coming. I hate doing comparisons because I'm never right but Mike Matthew's reminds me of Meachem

Stanley Steemer Morgan. He had to play tailback at times. It was a great sacrifice but he did it. The team needed him to have a lot of touches.

In my opinion, the greatest champion is one whose life story can match his record book. Johnny Mills had 225 receiving yards against Kentucky one game. That was a record that stood for 30 years, until Pat Washington broke it against LSU. He outshined such players as Larry Conka and Gary Beban. But when he returned home he started a landscaping business and also realized that many people in the rural areas of his county did not have a good source of public water. He organized several small districts to join forces to build a multimillion water treatment plant. That plant is now named for Johnny. That's a pretty good mark.

thats a fantastic story! we often hear negative stories about athletes but seldom hear the positive impacts they make outside of sports....i guess its not "news" that captures headlines.

@CoryA77 if we can land Faizon Brandon in August I don't see how we aren't elite offensively for the next 5 to 6 years at least and possibly set the ground work for a dynasty

Interesting discussion and the videos were a walk down Memory Lane. My Vol WR Mt. Rushmore, in no particular order, would be Price, Pickens, Meachem and Hyatt. Bear in mind that the first game I can remember is the '84 Bama game, so I'm excluding all receivers that played before that since I didn't see them.

@phatphil7836 seems like we had a lot of wrs that was very close so it this one was pretty hard. All those guys you picked was right there. We will do more of these so it will be interesting to see if they all will be this hard.

Feeling great about this team and season. I believe we put everyone on notice with first 2 games. Amazing how overlooked this team is. EA sports does not have TN in top 25 for offense or defense. Also crazy that Neyland did not make top 5. The guys at off the hook must be making the decisions....bunch of idiots on that channel....
