@mr.g1758 come on bud, it's was obviously pass interference you got to admit. Other than the maybe targeting call that was 50/50 the refs didn't miss anything on UT. One gift bama got in that game was in the endzone when the bama guy threw down the UT player and some how they called it on UT

@The_Vol4Life_Podcast I think we had 15 penalties...the MOST IN 130 YEARS of playing football. Most yards too I think, ever. Didn't deserve to win as defense was non- existent, and Tenn was very good. Our DB had a right to go for the ball, and fact that flag wasn't thrown for like 7-8 seconds was telling. And on one penalty on TENN TD that was declined (as I recall), the ref signaled touchdown and then-- not sure if this showed on TV or not but others saw it too-- the ref balled his fists together with arms still raised as if to suggest "yesss!" Probably because he knew he was getting a good check after the game.

@alabamatide8192 20.....how many they should have called. The crowd noise caused a bunch but honestly they missed several including one on the 2nd TD and a hold in the endzone which would have made a safety. But over all I was shocked that they actually called the one hold and bama got to 15.

Absolutely agree! What's sad, is almost to the point of being happy if we just get shafted just a little bit, especially when it comes to games like today. Bama is one of the most penalized teams in the country but I expect they will play a clean game today. Sure hope someone in the media has the courage to say something about this soon!

@bmphil3400 guess you didn't watch the video lol. To sum up, over the last 10 games against power 4 opponents, UT has had a total of 3 enforced live ball penalties called on our opponents. Based off of ncaa avg and our speed of play we should be near 30 not 3. So UTis getting screwed every game not just the ones we lose lol

White or Heupel is gonna have to go public with it is my guess. Now if some of the media like Pate, Pickel or higher would jump on it, then I believe that would get it possibly rolling.

@douggarrett5288 hmmm would you like tell when those was so I can look that up? It was a fairly even called game imo. Pearce got held in the end zone which should have been a saftey. On Alabama 2nd touchdown run the LG had a blatant hold and tackle.. No way did milroe make the 4th down conversion too. There was at least 2 more hold I saw in lesser situations so yes it was far from perfect but it was about as close to a good called game as we've had in about a year and half

also look at the arkansas game white jerseys, and they were holding every play that was a razorback highlight

I concur. You hit the nail square on the head. With all the money at stake you would think the SEC & NCAA would want a true and fair outcome but, the opposite is obviously happening. Those offices is where the real corruption resides.

100%. I've said that many times that Danny White HAS to address this with SEC and start demanding results or else we're going to start pulling money. I don't know how we could do it, but there has to be a way that they can financially penalize the SEC through holding out of games. I'd rather we completely sit out a year than sit through this bullshit.

I don’t truly know why we are not getting calls over such a long period of time but obviously gambling is a monster industry now and it doesn’t take much to effect the eventual spreads of a game

I don't know if it's gambling, but it's obviously something and must be addressed. This is corruption on a level that shouldn't exist in modern-day sports. Danny White or UT admin is going to have to address this publicly and make it very aggressive to where National Media starts covering it. Hell, the fans will pay the fines for them.

@prdeereman well UT did self imposed penalties and turned themselves in and spent several millions in the investigation. I think the punishment was fair considering all major schools do what they was doing

Look at the fact in my lifetime the one that sticks out the most is Alabama lied about the Langham kid signing with the agent .Gene Stallings and Hooty Ingram lied to the NCAA said the kid signed a napkin . Herb Winches said on Wjox radio that it was real contract with another player signed the witness portion . There would have been a wrist slap had they not lied

we did get penalized tho. we gave up like 25 scholarships and paid millions in fines and costs amongst other penalties

HOWEVER half of the time they are true ghost calls, but that's not even the main issue Vol Fans have with the refs. It's the lack of calls given to the other team, The refs will call holding on Us but never call it on the other team, the few calls they give out are... false starts and delay of game. All we want is if you call us for something call it for the other team bc you can't tell me only one team makes mistakes.

1000% true. multiple holds happen on every single play. its the egregious holds that get called.. the refs like in basketball let some stuff go and depending o the tone of the game the leeway given changes. If the game gets testy they will call whatever but if both teams are being physical and not getting mouthy they let it go.

Go back to last year's game, TN VS BAMA, Tide held James Pearce over and over. There's a video on TH-cam showing like 8 or 9 time they held him, but Bama gets alot of favorable calls. I've heard it's because the SEC office is near UA campus..

@jackhuffaker4981 that was us that put out that video of all the bad calls in last years game..some will say we are whiners but to me we just want a fair straight up game. Of course there will be missed calls but at the end of the day it should be close imo

Corrupt is a strong word and not the right word to be used here. Corrupt would insinuate some type of oraganised conspiracy to stop UT. I think this is more refs in general don't like the offense and id bet other teams that play similar styles have similar results. it would be interesting to look at the numbers for USF
