NGL, been following on and off through the years and was here when it was still Brandon Campbell Fitness, IIRC. Kinda nostalgic and trippy to see you still at it. Great work, Brandon.
Nice lifts. With the strength Co plates, hows the coating holding up and hows the tolerance when sliding on the barbell sleeve? Im looking at moving away from my cheap mismatch plates to a more of a standard. Im liking the Strength Co plates but at this price point not sure if theres a better option for better quality plates if i save a little more or if these are about the best for the money for non-competition plates.
This is a tough question to answer mostly b/c it's been so long and I wasn't consistently squatting during the first 10 years or so of training. I used to do other things like leg press, smith machine work, etc while I was still mainly interested in just bodybuilding training.
I’m trusting the 2 tons of weight on the rack keeps it pretty sturdy? Both rogue and rep insist I bolt the 6 post rack I’m shopping for to the ground or buy extendo feet. Can I get away with 400lbs of stored weight to eliminate the need to bolt to the ground?
I cant even flip my 4 post rogue rack with no weight on it. So you should be safe. They say that for safety reasons, but it's almost impossible to flip. A 6 post you shouldnt be able to move.
They def put that in for liability purposes. I had a 30” 4 post rack that just had stabilizer feet for a bit. I made a video about bolting racks down a few years back. 6 post shouldn’t be an issue unless you have no weight storage and are doing something absurdly heavy in the outside of the rack with spotter arms.
@@BasementBrandon I'm glad you haven't quit. The whole idea of lifting from the start was to keep going for life. I'm 23 and I'll still be lifting when I'm 80, 90, whatever I live to be. Probably not 700+ lb deadlifts at that age, but assuredly at least 3 plates.
Not as much anymore. Don't get me wrong the day after some heavy squats or deadlifts I'm a bit stiff, but I wouldn't say pain. Usually 1-2x per year I do experience issues though and they're usually from something non lifting related, like randomly tweaking it emptying the dishwasher lol.

The “three lights” banner behind you! Where can I get one?!
I just had it made
Man I’m 8 weeks and counting on that mutant metals ARC piece. Glad to hear you like it though
Yeah the downside of a 1 man shop :(
How long did it take to squat 4 plates? Just out of curiosity.

Were the SLRs programmed in Juggernaut or did you just throw those in? Just curious as I associate the app with pure powerlifting
They were programmed!

@@mariusjohansen702 Hey thanks. It makes sense on their part to protect themselves from any lawsuits.
@@619_ER yeh thats the reason. Should be safe

@@BasementBrandon Definitely appreciate the feedback!
Great work.. what knee sleeves are you training with during your squats ? Much respect 👊👊
Right now as I'm far out from my next comp I'm using the A7 Rigor Mortis sleeves. They're a bit more forgiving than my Pioneers.
What velocity device do you have?
RepOne
Yo, between the sing prong 10mm pioneer cut and 10mm lever pal v2 which one is good for high rep squats?
Both. The big difference is going to come down to how you want the belt to latch/unlatch and how much wiggle room you want.
@BasementBrandon ohhhh okay, thank you.
So impressive that you're moving that much weight.
not dead yet!
@@BasementBrandongetting a lot of comments along the lines of 'I was watching back in the stone age. Can't believe you're still going strong!'? lol
@@TheBcoolGuy I think a lot of people who started their channels around the time that I did have stopped lifting 😅

I can see the 3D delts from here!
The extra small shirts help.
Do you ever suffer from lower back pain?

what are you those collars o.o
They are the aluminum collars from Xmaster.
