I’m not one to comment much on videos but I wanted to say thank you! Thank you for sharing your experience with buying a house while also keeping it real. While we all love watching those who can redo their entire homes you are absolutely right, reality is most of us just can’t afford that. Especially all at once! But I love watching how you and Tom are making this home beautiful and yours. Congrats on the new home! Such an exciting time! Very much looking forward to more home tours as you get more settled.
Hi Becca. I totally know what you mean about things being a process. When I got my first house I wanted everything to be finished and done straight away! You dream about having your OWN space for so long and have so many ideas that you want it to be perfect straight away and like you say it's just not realistic. But that feeling of disheartening does go away after a short while! It's going to look so lovely once everything is done xxx
From decorating our house over the last year I've actually found taking the frog tape off when the paint is still fairly wet is best - otherwise sometimes if it's really dry it cracks off, and pulling the tape off strips some of the newly painted wall as well! I'm not an expert though, that's just my experience so thought I'd share! :) Lovely video Becca, happy for you both! xxx

I offered some help on an Instagram post of hers once about her new ‘disney’ poster from the 1970s and she removed my comment! It wasn’t even hate!!! Despicable if you ask me 💓
We have the big deep drawers you're using for dog stuff and cleaning but we find they're great for pots and pans because they can sit properly and can see them all without them all falling about

Desks and bits of furniture coffee tables etc, if you haven’t already you should have a look in b&m stores and the range 😊 we have a coffee table, chairs, bookshelves, desk from there and they were so lovely for the price (really similar style to ikea stuff as well)! 💖💖
I'm so glad your showing the realistic approach to getting a new home and the costs that add up. I'm so excited to be able to move out with my partner next year and get to do all this exciting stuff 😂 for now I'm living vicariously through you. Facebook marketplace is a great place for furniture, shpock is good for it too.

The place is really coming together! One thing I'm confused about though, if you've rented before, surely you've already got things like kitchen utensils, crockery, a sofa, desk, etc.? I understand you'd like new things, but wouldn't those things be good to tide you over? :) Or was the rented place furnished?

Thank you! ❤️ Yes I had some very very old second hand kitchen utensils (some broken), crockery I’ve bought some along with me, my old sofa wasn’t comfy for my back so I sold that, and my partner and I decided if it’s our home we shouldn’t just have all my old stuff, yknow? Hope that makes sense! Xx
