When I did my MGA carbs, I blasted them with crushed walnut shell media, and then rubbed them with some Simichrome polish. This gave me the clean aluminum look I was after similar to what you achieved.

Hi John nice use of oilite bushes i remember using them in the late 60's we we used to vacumm pump them in an oven .
