About David Buffs boat ladders. I’m 71, last year my foot slipped while trying to get out of the boat at the ramp. I fell about 4 feet to the concrete, needless to say I got hurt pretty bad, but it could have been a lot worse. I contacted DAVID BUFF through this channel and he made us a four step ladder for our 16’ fishing boat. David is a great guy and expert craftsman/fabricator. A ladder on the tongue of your trailer could save you from a bad injury or worse. Ours looks great and works great, really strong. Just get one, Elliott Hermann.
You Da MAN! Was surfing for info on drift weights and came across your channel. Like you , I prefer to DIY instead of buying. I like your ideas and humor. Have back watched a lot of your videos and haven't found one that I didn't learn something from.
@Fishin N Stuff 🤣 you know you're ain't the first time I'm watched yours. I watched an old one from like 5 years ago and it went into this one after dork lol
Dang man That was AWESOME. Man I can't wait to fish off that boat, let's plan a night trip and try out that live scope. That freed up enough space to get the top to lay down and have room to fish off the back Great video Brother, Thanks for sharing. Can't wait for the next build.
Don’t need rod holders, and don’t have that kind of equipment, but man it’s still fun to watch you guys doin’ your thing!! And apparently the TH-cam thing’s workin’ okay if you can afford them high falutin’ pan optics. 😂 See ya on the next build!!
Great content! We'll start sharing your channel to our clients who just recently bought land from us near the lake. They'll surely get awesome ideas from you. Thanks for sharing this!
The Mul T Bars turned out great I’m about to get some for my boat, but I didn’t realize how close you was to me I fish lake Norman all the time. Keep up the good content I love it
You need to come up with a rod set up like that for a kayak that would go from one side of the kayak to the other, that you could fasten on the tracks.
Keith...loved the latest vid brother...great idea. I have an idea for you to consider for your amazing DIY channel. I have an older 18' fiberglass ProCraft bass boat that sits on a cement pad next to my double car garage. I use a sealskin custom fit cover for it, but the cover only fits (snug) about 6" over the boat's sides and bow. It provides excellent sun and rain protection....you know...what a good boat cover is suppose to do, but in San Diego it don't rain much so the sun is almost constantly shining and the silver metalflake gel coat gets a ton of oxidation damage from Bob's (big orange ball) UV rays. Last summer I bit the bullet and spent a lot of time and effort (and really achy hands) and buffed out (by hand and a cheap Harbor Freight buffer) many years of oxidation...I put a quality wax on it and brother it looked Awesome!!!... it shines like a baby's spanked tomato! To guard against the sun oxidating the gel coat again, I came up with a cheap fix to protect my boat's sides and stern from the sun. I went to Harbor Freight and bought a heavy duty 11' by 19' (silver) tarp for $25. I layed it out on my driveway and cut (2) two 4 foot wide strips to make a "sun skirt" to protect my boat's sides. How to attach... I simply held the tarp "skirt" against my boat (to find some "tie off points" like...handles...trolling motor...eyelets for a bimini top...cleats...etc) and then put grommets at those points in the tarp. I use a 12" piece of paracord to tie the skirt to the boat's gunwale BEFORE I put the boat cover on. With the combo of the "skirt" and my cover, my boat's gelcoat finish is completely protected! Now I think you'll admit...that's just plain AWESOME!!! I also did something for my 150 Merc 2 years ago... I ordered a full (white) motor cover off Amazon. I did so to help reflect/deflect some of the pounding heat on my (black) outboard's lower unit (since my sealskin boat cover has a motor "hood" built in to the cover). This full white motor cover has helped keep the sun's heat from destroying my impeller (water pump) so fast (I haven't needed to change my impeller in 2 years!!!) and it also keeps wasps and mud dobbers from building nests on my outboard. Like my boat "skirt", I put the full motor cover on the motor (which even encases the 4 bladed SS prop and skeg) before I put the boatcover's "hood" over the motor. I takes only 5 minutes more in the early morning to remove the full motor cover and skirt (or to put em back on at the end of a fishing trip) and that is nothing compared to the time required when disassembling the lower unit for an impeller change or scrubing and buffing oxidation off my boat's sides. Thought some of your viewers might benefit from the above ideas. johnrbush357@gmail.com
That's is a great idea . I really hate the way boat covers fit as well . That part of the reason I bought my building that eventually turned into a TH-cam studio some hom lol . I appreciate you sharing that great idea
@@FishinNStuff I'd love to put up a building or pole barn to house both my bass boat and 22' center console "salt" boat, but they put the houses so close together in cheapa_ _ CA that the only room I have is enough for a 9 foot wide cement pad. The house is a 5 br/3ba 3000 sq ft structure on a postage stamp sized lot. When I sneeze, the neighbor hand me a kleenex thru their facing window.
I just became a subscriber the other day, that was a great space saver & functional idea, I've got a idea on a cover for lures with treble hooks while still on the rod, I haven't made it yet, I could probably make one for $1-2, the ones I've seen are 4$ to 13$, I looked on your channel to see if you have ever made one & I couldn't find one, enjoy your content 👍
do you have a hack for taking fishing line off of your reel and maybe reloading new fishing line? Thanks. (you have great videos that are fun to watch)
How do I order a step ladder like the one on your front of boat for my aluminum boat I can send a picture of the front of my boat keep up with the awesome stuff love the things you show and do
Hey man love your videos i coulda swore you were my boss's boyfriend you guys could be twins showed him your channel and he said oh shit my brother from another mother wish i could post a pic in this he a good ole boy from Harriman tn
If the bottom plate weld was on the inside or if he would have made the main piece longer and put that bottom bend on the main piece it would have look a lot better and it would have look like it came already came with the boat when you bought boat just saying
How much does your buddy charge to make steps? I got a 1994 Javelin it needs 4 steps. If you can ask him for me or give me his sight I would definitely appreciate it! Your shoes are awesome. I show them to people all time. Their better on TV sets thanks phone. Lol

I was thinking about
Do you have any advice or how too's for the Crappie fish out the back of a 1754 Tracker Grizzly?
I'm not very experienced at trolling for crappie . I'm more of a brush pile / light fisherman
My crestliner Jon boat has the same dumb issue on the back
We need steps for our boat trailer. How do we get in touch with David? Does he work at the Great Outdoors?
No but his son does . His name is Hunter
@@FishinNStuff ok. Thank you!!

what kind of textured paint do you have already on your boat?
I heard that Puddle of Mudd in the background
Fish alone, space saved.

When that “SHTF” day arrives, no doubt, y’all gonna DIY... right through it all - and leave the rest of us asking “what just happened”.
Lol 😁 I hope so
