@@centenarioguy it’s not about rainbows. You are the one making it about rainbows. It’s about colors!! Bright colors attract the eyes of the students. Therefore it supports visual learning.
What an elaborate and well thought of arrangements..Marvellous !Just shows HOW PASSIONATE you are about your work....the kids are lucky to have you as their Teacher😊👌👌
I'm an art teacher rather than classroom teacher but your tour still gave me so many great ideas for organizing my room. I also love to decorate in rainbows!
I want to do a rainbow theme like this but with pastels and I love EVERYTHING about your classroom. I also teach in SoCal. This will be my 3rd year teaching but I’ve basically been virtual since my 1st year due to covid. I’m so excited to actually have a classroom to decorate.
Thank you so much!!! A pastel rainbow theme would look so good!!! And yay for teaching in southern California!!! What a crazy first few couple years to be a teacher!!! That'll be so much fun to be able to decorate a classroom next year and have a more normal teaching experience!!! Sending all the positive thoughts your way!!!
Really beautiful, functional, super organized, and appealing to children. Also seems sustainable. Where does the para sit and work to do planning activities, correcting spelling homework, writing reports, responding to emails, submitting Medicaid? If you want the best paras asking to be assigned in your classroom, give them a small adult desk and chair with a coat hook, electrical outlet, and a place to put their lunch and tote bag. Make them feel included. I worked in about ten classrooms as a para over a period of years and only two had a workspace for me. One other had a little table and adult desk chair that any paras and sped teachers coming and going could use. It was appreciated. I had one teacher who did not even have a chair in the room for the para ; just one for each child and one for the himself. He spent a lot of time at his own desk. I had no place to sit to do reports or keep my things. Paras talk about it - that it is disrespectful and even models exclusion and elitist behavior for children. Those with seniority would ask the administrator not to assign them to certain classrooms, without saying why. This classroom gets an A-. Add a para work space and it gets an A+!
Wow! Your classroom is so organized and fun! I will be teaching 5th grade next year, and I will be using a lot of your ideas. Thanks for the inspiration!
Awe thanks Kim!!!!! And of course!!! My students loved the lights this year and would always remind me if I forgot to turn them on in the morning!! Ha!!
Wow! I am going to be a fist-year 5th grade teacher this Fall and can I say your classroom is amazing! Love all the decor and how neatly organized it is!
I had an interview on Tuesday for a 5th grade position, and an hour later, they called me back to hire me! I'll be teaching 5th grade next year :) I love your writing bulletin board ideas!
@@MollyMaloy I got a chance to substitute and teach 5th grade a few years ago and I loved it! You are right! Fifth grade is a great grade to teach! I will be doing a multi-grade room this year with 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades together this coming year! I'm so excited!
Such a refeshing change to see a bright beautiful color scheme! It seems most teachers on youtube especially newer teachers are all going with black, gray, tan and black and white patterns on borders with wadded up burlap over that. These teachers buy black bookcases, black book bins, etc. They teach primary kids k, 1 and 2 but everything is so dark! Your students must feel so upbeat in your room as it gives off a happy, joyful vibe. I love the library and the U.S. map poster. No state names so the kids (and me 😆) can play name each state! Lol
I love all the colors in your classroom. It looks so inviting! Using fabric on bulletin boards is a brilliant idea! Where did you get the large stickers for your students? I hope you are planning to share more vlogs. Thank you for sharing your classroom with us!
Thank you so much for your kind comment!!! I get all my stickers on Amazon! A lot of them come in packs of 50+ stickers for a great price! I linked my Amazon storefront in the description and I have some of my favorite packs listed on there! I'm excited to get more for next year too!
I honestly just want to copy this room! I just got hired to be a school aged teacher for kids r kids (pre school place). The room is the size or bigger of an actual classroom and REALLY needs to be revamped. And I’m so excited!! I haven’t even met the kids yet but I’m beyond pumped
LOVE LOVE LOVE your video and everything about your classroom!!! Your students are so blessed to have you! I absolutely love how interactive it is, especially the figurative language posters! I may have missed it, but would you share how I can get those blank figurative language sheets please?! 😊
I Teach 5th in the LA area. Your classroom has so much wall space. My classroom is half of that size. I love having color in my upper grade classroom. Since I taught primary ( 2nd Grade ) for so many years that stuck with me. But since my favorite color is Purple I have different shades of it throughout 💜🎉🤩
That's awesome! We aren't too far away! My classroom felt so much bigger this year with so many less students!! Usually it's crammed with desks and not a ton of walking space! Ha! It's always so interesting to me how classrooms are so different! And I totally agree, I love having color in my upper grade classroom too and I know my students appreciate it as well! 💗
OMG! I love the map. Such a great idea for my classroom next year. I'm also a fifth grade teacher near Chicago but in the suburbs. Thanks for sharing :)

Where did you get those beautiful bright color bulletin board fabric from???? Which store??? I LOVE your classroom!!! It looks so bright, happy, and homey!!!
Thank you so much!!! I got most of my bulletin board fabric from JoAnn Fabrics! I just went to the section of the store with the solid color fabrics and picked out my favorites! My local Hobby Lobby had some good colors too, but not as many options!
I love being new to this public education lifestyle, and I specially love teaching my 5th graders over my 4th graders (public school tutor here).
