Cricut Tip: If you're making bullitin board letters, you can type the entire word in a single text box, then ungroup to letters - that way they are all exactly the same size and you've save a little bit a time!
I am not a teacher but have a cricket and I would make my letters and Google Drawings and insert that image (YOU HAVE TO KEEP THE BACKGROUND TRANSPARENT)
I bought my husband a Cricut Maker (you read that correctly) and he helped me with my classroom doors this year. It's pretty amazing. Before this, he also helped me make hospitality cards for new teachers and we make tshirts when we go on trips together. It's such a great and useful tool!
Thank you so much for doing this cricut vid. Need more cricut vids from you please. Stickers, t-shirt, everything please. You do such a good job explaining.
Love this video and the tips are absolutely spot on! This is so perfect for back to school time when teachers are getting their rooms ready! It doesn’t matter if you are a first year teacher or a teacher who has taught for over 10 years! I remember helping teachers with their boards long ago and none of these hacks were even thought of! I’m definitely sharing with two good friends of mine who just started their teaching careers!
Another way to get your letters straight on the board is to stretch a piece of string across it with push pins. Then you can place the letters above the string. It works every time. In fact I just did it yesterday while setting up my classroom.
Love the bin hack! I also use fabric on my bulletin boards and found twin flat sheets to be a less expensive alternative. Do you have a sticker making video?
Just wanted u to know that I am now a substitute teacher, I went back and watched your "management" video which had some great ideas. I used the "mystery student" idea and it worked like a charm while walking to and from activities. 3rd grade Really nice! Thanks
Love these tips! So practical and TIME-SAVING!! Thanks so much. As a high school teacher, I have always hated bulletin boards. Thankful for these great tips!
Thank you for the Cricut tutorial! I have one of these machines available for use at my school but was totally intimidated to use it because I had no idea how they worked. I shared your video with my pre-service daughter who can hopefully be more prepared than I was for bulletin boards.
Great tips! When I want patterned card stock for my bb letters, I just print the pattern I want (rainbow, polka dot, stripes, etc) onto the page of plain white card stock, laminate, and then cut. It uses a good bit of ink but I get exactly I want in the end!
Thanks a ton! This video is so helpful. I'm a first-time teacher. I've been wanting a cricut in my crafts even before teaching, but felt intimidated with the Cricut machine. I love how you gave an overview about Cricut. Do you have a link of the exact Cricut machine you got? There are different options for the Explore 3, and don't know the differences.
Hi Michelle. i loved the cricut tutorial and it would be great if you could provide us more about teacher shirts.which materials and knives to use. Thank you so much fot helping us teachers out😍
Thank you for the tips! I don’t have many bulletin boards in my classroom, but I also like to use some permanent features and then only change certain things. I am excited to have my students create a vision board for the year on one of our bulletin boards. We are all in-person this year, so I can have my kids create a tangible board!
Fabric... I usually use bed sheets from Walmart. It is so affordable. Hard to find right now but soon. I just bought a cricut using money I earned from having a student teacher. :) What font did you use for your t-shirt. Yep push pins should go in your bulletin board tub. My letters usually go up down so there is room for imperfections. I also use a level from lowes it has a push pin in it so I can just stick it in the bulleting board.Great video Michelle.
I just got moved to a new classroom that has NO bulletin board space. Two walls are all windows. One wall is all shelves (floor to ceiling) and one wall is smartboard and white boards. Since I also have a love/hate relationship with bulletin boards, it is uniquely freeing! BUT trying to figure out new and creative ways to display student work or anchor charts and vocabulary is a challenge. Maybe a future video of creative suggestions for those of us who have zero bulletin board space?! 🤞I am thinking of things like digital art collages, digital anchor chart photo albums, blogs, etc.
What about clotheslines along the windows to clip student work, etc.? Or the fairy curtain lights with clips already one them? Using the pocket holders on the windows themselves? Window cling letters for vocabulary? Not digital ideas but just some thoughts. Oh, curtain rods...you can use rod clips for hanging things off those, too.
@@heart4homeannie736 Those are all great suggestions. I had put a few things in windows and hanging from ceilings (clothespins and twine) but fire marshall said nothing from ceilings and nothing covering windows. So no go. But like I said, it is kind of freeing and challenging me to think of other ways to display work. I have lots of open shelving so was even thinking of getting frame easels and mounting work or anchor charts on cardboard to stand up on the library shelving. It is different but may work! I will keep experimenting! Thanks for your response filled with great ideas!
I always felt guilty about throwing the staples on the floor lol! But I turned it into a game for my students. During nap time I would allow the non nappers that were being quiet that day to go to our science center and grab a magnetic wand and "hunt" for all the loose staples! Its always a fun time for my littles!
Hello thanks so much for those hacks ! I have 2 questions: How do you attach the fabric to the wall? And what do you put under the fabric when you staple so that the staple doesn’t get into the table? Thanks!!
I love this video. I was in the process of making the letters in design space but I could find the Oswald font. Can you tell me where you got the font from?
Hey Michelle. I'd love to see a video about how you create and edit your own videos. I'm trying to grow my channel so any tips from you would be great.
Thank you for this video! I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, I’m trying to cut my laminated paper but for some reason it keeps bubbling up and the lamination is detaching from the card stock. Any tips would be appreciated! 😊
Hey! I'm not sure if anyone got back to you, but generally if it is not sealing tight for me it's not hot enough yet. Some lamination machines take a few minutes to heat up before use. 😊 I had this problem too. Good luck!
The daycare I work at requires us to change out our bulletin board in the hallway and in the classroom each month and I loathe it. I'm so bad at it and it's just a huge pain
I'd like some hacks on decorating a door. As a teacher I just wouldn't bother because I wasn't good at placing the butcher paper. Once I decided I just didn't want to be a teacher anymore and would rather be an assistant. I found myself having to do that for the teacher I was assisting and I'm just not good at it.
Love your video!! I have a Cricut Air 2 that I got from my husband and kids as a present. However, I still don’t know how to use it efficiently. I did have the 1st model but unfortunately I stopped working. That one I did use it a lot!!
I have a Lopez Cricut. It involves using sentence strips and markers to create my own fonts. I do not have to worry about waiting for things to upload.
Hi love - thanks for all these great tips! Where did you get your math vocabulary cards! I’ve been trying to find a set this doesn’t have a particular colored background so it will actually coordinate with more colors. The ones you have look like what I may be looking for! Thanks hun!
I bet she made them herself. Check to see if she has them on her Teachers Pay Teachers page. (I did NOT check, so I have no idea, but this is something I can see her doing for sure!)
Why in the world did anybody ever use paper background for bulletin boards? When I first started teaching, I was asked me design bulletin board for other teachers too, and we were so excited with all this paper going up, why? Fabric is so much nicer an easier!!! THANK YOU!
+Pocketful of Primary Michelle , I so miss seeing you with your bulletin boards . I hope that you are enjoying your extended break from teaching and will return to teaching because you are one of them that I often wish that I had when I was a school student . - Dwight
I'm imagining you making a pair of laminated Positive Pants that could be given to a student who needs cheering up, and the others would know to go out of their way to be nice to that kid...

Ooooooh, thank you!
Nice!
This! Please don’t type each letter individually 🙄 As long as you don’t “weld” words together they will cut letters separately! No need to ungroup!
More cricut tutorials PLEASE! I'm totally doing this! Thank you!

Exactly lol
Me too. ☺️

Thank you for demonstrating Crichton! I never bought one because it seemed complicated. Watching you made sense!

The magnet trick is genius!
My school expects us to have one seasonal board. Keeping everything together is such a time saver. :)
Michelle, I LOVE your hair! It looks so good this length. :)
Love the hair!
Yes, I loved the tips on supplies. So good.

Fabulous! Thank you!
I’ve been influenced! I finally did it and ordered a cricut!
I also use plastic table cloths. This way I don’t have to deal with the fire marshal. They don’t fade that easy either.
Love those staplers! Staple wrist is a legitimate disorder. Prevention is so important.
Incredible help! Thank you so much! I 🎉

Michelle I love love your haircut...thanks for the tips...creating bulletin boards is my kryptonite..ugh I hate them...
This video is great, thank you!!!
Thanks! God bless!
Thank you, please keep doing these great informative videos. I am soaking up all the information I can before it is my turn to be a teacher. ❤🙂🎉😎

@@dcthomas99 those fire Marshalls!!! Lol. In all seriousness....glad they are keeping us safe.
Thanks a lot! Your videos always help me and give me awesome ideas!
Wonderful hacks!
Hello, this was new interesting information for me. Thanks for sharing.
I always felt guilty about throwing the staples on the floor lol! But I turned it into a game for my students. Awesome tips!!!!! I like them a lot!!! :)
This video was very helpful 👏
Better than bulletin board paper is great alternative and even easier than fabric.

Hey Michelle. I'd love to see a video about how you create and edit your own videos. I'm trying to grow my channel so any tips from you would be great.

Good good ideas!
I am thinking about buying a circuit joy? Or should I buy the larger machine? 🤔
Love your hair!
You look GREAT!

Hi Kellie, you could use a neutral background and border. Then, change student's work with different monthly themes.
Could you make a more detailed video on how to cut lamination with the Cricut?
I have the same love hate relationship with bulletin boards!
Team Fabric! 🙋♀️
Ahhh! This is great! Thank you so much!
Your staple removal already has a magnet In it for getting those stray staples. 😁
Love your video!! I have a Cricut Air 2 that I got from my husband and kids as a present. However, I still don’t know how to use it efficiently. I did have the 1st model but unfortunately I stopped working. That one I did use it a lot!!
Can you tell me where you got the math vocabulary cards on your math focus wall? I looked on your TPT and couldn't find them.
I’m curious too!
same
Jillian Starr on TPT. I've been using the that word wall for years!
I am wondering what stapler you use? Did I miss it In your Amazon favorites? Thanks!
I use flat sheets for my bulletin boards. They've lasted for years.
My bulletin board stapler is a broken one. Bang or pry off the bottom, so much easier.
I have a Lopez Cricut. It involves using sentence strips and markers to create my own fonts. I do not have to worry about waiting for things to upload.
Super helpful video! Question, where do you get our mini anchor charts from??
Burlap fabric works well as bulletin board backing.
did you do a teacher planner for 2021-2022
Where did you get or do you sell the math concept board materials?
Where did you get that shirt? So cute!
I created it with my Cricut! I cut the vinyl and used the Easy Press to attach it to the shirt!
I always used push pins long before the painters tape...
We paint our bulletin boards. Mine have green and black as a background.
Where did you get the cute black t-shirt that says TEACH?
Which font did you use for your t-shirt?
I’ve always wanted to buy a Circut but I chicken out because it seems like it’s to difficult to work.
Same lol
You're genius!
The best thing I ever did was use fabric for my bulletin boards!!! I'll never go back to paper!
Painting your bulletin boards black alleviates using any type of background and colours pop.
In the thumbnail where are the Math Mini Anchor charts from! 👀
I’m curious too!
what printer do you have?
I confess that I also throw my staples on the floor,,,, hahaha!

Why do you not use staple guns?
It is Jacob
Hello Michelle!! I have a video idea that you can do "My Design process in teaching" that's it thank you!!!💙💙
Hi mrs ferre
🙋♀️Also a floor staple thrower.... No shame 😝
I had a level in my bulletin board bin.

I used fabric for bulletin board background in the past but now we aren’t allowed to😩
Android has it's own ruler..I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 😏
👍😊🥰
Tip: I Painted my bulletin boards. So no paper or fabric.
