Thank you so much for recording and sharing with us! This is "Broken Hearted Blues" by Erica Lewis (2009). Recorded by Tuba Skinny on "Tuba Skinny" CD (2009) and "Blue Chime Stomp" CD (2016).
@joulirew, If you could please give me the current line up of the band (as well as instrument), I will add it in the search feature, making it all searchable. Thank You. Any feed back on other bands song names is appreciated.
@@stephencogswell8417 From left to right: Craig Flory - clarinet Shaye Cohn - cornet Barnabus Jones - trombone Erika Lewis - vocals, bass drum Max Bien-Kahn - resonator guitar, banjo Gregory/Greg Sherman - vocals, guitar Todd Burdick - sousaphone, tuba Robin Rapuzzi - musical washboard I hope you still have more Tuba Skinny recordings from this great set or their other performances on the cruise. There was little hope that someone would record it and post it. So thank you very much again.
Windy night, low lighting. I only got these 2 songs, I tried to get artists that I follow and ones I don't get to see. We first saw Tuba Skinny on Frenchman Street, when they first started out, excellent for their sound. If I had known that you wanted more video, I would have gotten a few more, hahaha.@@jouli_rew
Erika is indeed great. And as she ages, she gets better and better. But the issue isn't her location on the stage, it's access to the sound as it was recorded. And here the sound we hear was probably recorded by a smartphone on a stand. Notice all of the sound technology on the stage. We're getting the benefit of none of it, even though Tuba Skinny is a major band and we're seeing and hearing them on TH-cam, a significant platform for the performance of contemporary music. At this point in the life of TH-cam, we should be hearing a better version of the sound. It's time to move beyond Amateur Hour.
excellent! My favorite band, thanks for posting this video
Great- is the only word to describe Tuba Skinny
You not skinny, you BIG !!! ❤❤😂
wowohwow! so good. so very good. thank you.
You are the best..greetings from Germany
Shaye ... You look marvelous .. Happy Birthday 11-28-23 ... This group and you are one of a kind ... Mikie
Toujours aussi percutant ! Remarquable. Quel plaisir d'écouter cette musique !
Love, love, love it!!!soulfully amazing!
Just love it the way Shaye controls things with her little looks and actions.
On a cruise with Tuba Skinny, how great is that, lucky people!
That's awsome!!! I wouldn't miss a moment.
Best version of this song. Awesome.
SHAYE COHN! MARAVILHOSA!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Wow! Finally, a good audio mix. I could hear both strings and Erika to boot. Good job Skinny!
Wonderful as always!
You might think I’m daft but they just get better and better. Overwhelmed is an understatement.
You broke my heart with this one!
Good to see and hear Erica. I was worried about her.
Dang! I would cruise with them in a heartbeat.
Excelente interpretación !! Ver como Shaye dirige la banda con una mirada, con un gesto es un espectáculo aparté, un abrazo desde Venezuela.
Beautiful!!!
Love this old song and it particularly suits Erika's voice. neat solos by the resonator guitar, trombone and Shaye.
My wife and I have never been on a cruise, and don't ever expect to be, but if TS was on it ....
Go you wont be disappointed
Same. Tube Skinny would be the only reason I'd consider being outside the sight of land! Cheers from Texas.

One of my favorites of theirs, also. Spot on about Erika's vocals.

Thank you, will change, I would normally research names, just too many.

Heureux d'entendre Erika Lewis à nouveau. Il ne manque plus qu'Ewan pour que ce soit encore un peu plus génial.
Oh yeah

I do wish Erika could move to the front so the instruments don’t drown her out at times. Gawd, she’s good.

Thank you so much ...Regards Andre Netherlands
There's gigs, and then there are gigs. Hope the band was treated well and not like the 'help'. They are special.
Damn! Does everyone really have their shoes on?
Hello dear friends - great performance as always - congratulations and continued success - Hans -

It sounds pop, sorry. In comparison to your previous videos. (not just the atmosphere, sound and voice intonations)
It was very windy, not conducive to good recordings.
Fancy lighting, lousy recording... street performances sound better.
