Thanks for sharing. I’ll use a material handler and to help lift sheets of plywood. Hope to keep my project going faster and keep me from hospital bills and delays.
Since you are planning on a metal roof you might want to read up on peal and stick ice and water shield over all of the decking vs whatever else your thinking of.
If you ever do this or something similar again, fit a wider top plate for the trusses. That way you can have the timber flush with the inside of the wall to allow for hurricane straps. Here in the UK we use something called twisted restraint straps for roofing ( does the same job as hurricane straps), not sure if something similar is available in the usa? It is basically a 1/4 inch thick metal bar with fixing holes in it that is pre twisted to 90 degrees so that it sits flat against the wall and the trusses. You nail it to the trusses and fix into to concrete on the wall side. I would link to one, but youtube deletes my comments if i put an external link in the comment.
This video was better. But I’d suggest you do some voice over when you do a lengthy time lapse segment. Otherwise it gets boring fast and you can never pack too much information in a video.
Burmon makes nice looking ICF hurricane anchors but I think it's too late for that now. As for your amateur status, don't let it hold you back. There are lots of videos showing many different building techniques and outcomes. If you don't know, chances are there are half a dozen or more videos on the topic and at least one will show you the right way.
Thank goodness you are ok. I have had a few tumbles working on houses too. Looks good. Be safe.
Thanks 👍
Awesome work 👍
Thanks
James, I've enjoyed watching your journey. Glad you're ok!
Thank you!
I think you’re doing one heck of a job!
Thank you

The house is looking really nice now. What type of roof are you gonna use?
Metal

Yeah. I have learned a lot from building this house and will do better with my next house. Thanks

Thanks for the tips!
dont forget roof vents, or a roof cap vent.
Will have cap vent and end vents.
I might have missed it in a previous video, but did you get a construction loan for the build? and if so was it hard to get?
I did not get a loan. I am using my savings.
