This song kept playing in my head every day. So naturally I pushed myself to work nonstop for a week, so that I can present to y'all this new animatic of Epic the Musical. Enjoy ;)
I love how in every interpretation of EPIC Hermes, there’s always something going on with his eyes. Most ppl hide them but here they really express his personality
Dude I love the idea of Hermes using his powers to put on a full choreographed dance routine with special effects and background music in the middle of the woods on the way to Circe's palace.
I ADORE your interpretation of Hermes and his movements. It really makes him come off as a trickster, like he's offering Odysseus something he shouldn't, or that will bite him in the ass later, even though we the audience know he's on the up and up. I think that perfectly captures the tone of this version of Hermes. I wish the Vengeance Saga weren't so far away, because you'd absolutely crush it doing 'Dangerous'. There are two really stellar animatics for the unofficial version of that song on TH-cam that are some of my favorite EPIC animatics ever, but I know your version might top them, and only the official version would be worthy of your efforts and talent.
I love how in the animatics every one made Hermes graceful and swift like a cheshire cat, and you just made him faceplant on the ground from falling off of the trees. It's like he's really, really unhinged, dangerous, and unstable, but also knows exactly what he's doing. He looks like a guy that would help you out and toss you in a snake pit just for the heck of it. But I also know that he's just helping out his great grand son. I love this so much.
I absolutely ADORE the Uncanny Valley feeling that Hermes' design has, it feels like it fits him really well, and makes the deal feel a lot more shady as a result too, after all he is taking an offer from a Trickster God
I love how a t 2:32 ish you can see how his eyes are dialated differently. It really gives off the vibe that he’s not right in the head, like he’s concussed or something,
This version makes me so uncomfortable, I love it! It’s pretty different from how I imagined him, but I can still totally see it! I love this version sm 😭❤️
I love the little pause before "hundredth," it's like he just remembered how monogamous this version of Odysseus is, and recalibrated his estimated falling-in-love timeline.
