    You can make waffles out of anything, but oats, quinoa, and others have more fiber and slightly better protein than just regular flour. Even whole wheat flour is better.
    Oats also have beta glucans, which others lack

    My waffle maker is small so it made 4 waffles for the whole batch. Finally a waffle that is healthy and that I can eat since I’m lactose intolerant. By the way what are the macros for the recipe?

    • @the_simple_green
      @the_simple_green  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      taylor kane hi Taylor! I’m sorry I missed your comment until now! Unfortunately I don’t have the information on the macros, but there are sites online where you can input ingredients to find out :) I’m glad you like the recipe 🤗

    • @the_simple_green

      Susanna D it has a bit of nutty taste in this recipe which I find quite pleasant. It’s doesn’t taste the same as cooked quinoa 🤗

    I like to us oat flour to make waffles too. It is so healthy. I will also use almond flour to make waffle for losing weight.

    Even though I watched you Add 1-tsp Baking Powder I just checked your Blog Recipe and there it reads 2-tsp. Would that make the Batter or Waffles Rise more? I'm also curious why you aren't using Apple Cider Vinegar to give the Waffles a Mock Buttermilk taste? The whole Recipe would still be Vegan because it's still going to be Dairy-Free with no Actual Cow Milk. Thank you so much!

      Good question. I haven't tried that, but I gather it should work fine so long as your skillet is non stick.

      Justyna C Oats are naturally gluten free unless they're processed in a facility that also processes wheat or gluten products. You can buy oats that are certified gluten free ☺😘

      It's not actually gluten, but those with the celiac disease cannot consume it because of the prolamin (the protein that in the wheat it's called gliadin and commonly denominated gluten, because it is what contributes to form it in the first place; in oats it is called avenine, and it's not apt for celiac consumption either)
