The problem is cartridge space, hence why the SNES port of EWJ1 was so bad in the first place. Music like this would be possible, but they would either have to port more restrictions on the game, or buy more cartridge space, which they were not willing to do at the time. Ironically, the SNES port of EWJ2 is actually better than the Megadrive version, instead of the other way round, this was because ROM chips were cheaper by the time EWJ2 came out.
if they could make another earthworm jim game cartoon or maybe even a movie I would say they should hire Hollywood actor bruce cambell from army of darkness/evil dead movies to play as earthworm jim because he would be perfect

I say the SNES version should have sounded a little closer to this version, hense EWJ2's massive improvements in the sound department versus this one.

Well guess what! My 90s arrangement remake of the SNES version is on the works this year. And it'll sound a little bit better.
I like the SNES version because the explosion sounds sounded more clearer and I will use it for my new video game to make.
but i don't know what game engine to use. so i'll forget about and use it for flash animation
