  • This was definitely an amazing monoprinting session! In this videos I am going to show you how I used my Gelli plate photo transfer technique to gelli print beautiful monoprints which I actually printed them from my own photos. And I would like to invite you to join me in my studio here in Los Angeles. I am going to use a gel plate to monoprint these photos. I don’t really have a goal in mind, just to play around with my paints and make something colorful. The only theme I have in mind is to use photos I took in New York.
And you don’t need to do anything, I am going to do all the work so you can just sit back and enjoy the process. I hope its going to be as much fun watching as it was making these monoprints.

How lovely to meet you, Nitsa! Over my lifetime I have done various craft activities, but due to ill health, had to stop. I love Art of all kinds, but never felt I had the ability to create anything truly "artistic". At the age of 64 years old, with improved health, I discovered Card-Making (September 2020!). Having recently learnt to use a gel plate, and with a rising interest in art per say once again, I saw a video on Botanical Mono Printing. A few days later, while researching local community art activities, I saw one of your mono print videos!!! I am hooked, and my first project will be a series of collage mono prints for each of my grandchildren's birthdays. I am SOOO excited to follow your work!!!

Thank you Vonalda! 💚 I use many different type of papers, I think my favorite to use is 65lb sketch paper with some fine texture. often I print directly into my journal or sketchbook so this solves the problem of display. I also like to mount loose prints on hardboard and recently Im learning how to bind my prints into a homemade book.
