Can I transfer a picture to a rock? I paint rocks as one of the mediums I love to use. I'm making a painted rock for my vet, who took care of my fur-baby when he was so very sick. I want to put a picture of my kittie on the back of the rock. On the front, I will embellish and paint 'Dr. Logan, you rock!' As you know, most rocks are not smooth. They can be prepared with resin or modpodge before being painted. Then, the rock is sealed with resin or modpodge. Resin is the best medium to use when prepping and then sealing a rock, but it's harder and more costly than modpodge. Will the photo transfer work on the resin or modpodge surface? Will putting resin or modpodge over the top of the photo damage it? Thanks!
Will an ink jet printer work?
This particular gel plate process works with laser or toner based photocopy only. But feel free to look around my channel, I show many other processes that use inkjet printed photos.
