Its a lil late now but next time you need to do the prop...stick marine grease on the shaft so propeller can be removed easier. Trailer wheel bearing marine grease will work and is easily found at automotive shop.
Awesome tip! When we break this prop in 3 months, we'll be sure to add the marine grease!
I just watched a video.... about a repair on a item I will never have... performed with "tools" that are crimes against intended function... And I was thoroughly entertained!!
Great job guys. I look forward to the next.
Bahahahaha Wonderful description, and thanks for watching!
Your commitment to caring for your motor, despite feeling it deserves better owners, reflects your integrity and respect for the tools of your trade. Your dedication to proper maintenance and stewardship sets a commendable example for responsible ownership, ensuring the longevity and reliability of your equipment.
And I Am Floating Village Life
We appreciate the kind words!
It’s good to know what that triangle shaped thing is supposed to be used for - Prop removal! Best video yet.
Bahahaha Whatever works!
dodging killer spiders while changing a prop is super easy, barely an inconvenience!
Bahahaha Someone gets it! Thanks for watching!
This makes me want to build a boat house but also makes me think it’s more work than I can handle.
It's a lot of work, but man is it fun... DO IT!
Have you ever sent that river water off to get tested? It would give me peace of mind knowing if the fish are safe, or even just immersion in general. Most states will test your water for free. Your neighbors would appreciate it. Local news would do a story on it and your channel.
We have not, but it's probably not safe. We don't trust it! Do you recommend a good testing service?
@@MoneyPitBoating Check your county/state environment dept or fisheries. You may be surprised how much cleaner waterways have gotten over the last 50/60 years.
Interesting. It seems cleaner, but still gross at the same time!
Howdy Howdy Howdy, good to see ya again, thanks fer the adventure! Get some led strip lighting with remote and deck that boat out
That's not a bad idea!
Spider definitely cursed . Got 8 legs and not a single thumb .
Bahahaha Nailed it! Thanks for watching!
You never need the right tools you just need tools that’ll get the job done right. Or close to right 👍👍👍👍
Bingo Bango!
I'm FINALLY able to get mine registered so will have to put my props on for the first time -- you guys are making me nervous, lol. I do wonder how expensive it would be to get a metal one made tho...
That's awesome about yours! They do make aluminum props for ours, but we think that it might be worse for the motor because the prop won't break, and more force will hit the actual motor, which would be bad. We don't know if our logic is correct, but it's still ticking!
Build a genpole for lifting motor and other things
That is a really smart idea! Thanks!
Thanks. You two are great. Keep up the good videos. Get r done
We appreciate the kind words!
Looks like Mark is losing weight! Great job!
Trying to! It's miserable eating salad, but that's what I get for eating 50 pounds of food everyday for 40 years!
@@MoneyPitBoating Salad is not the way my friend, especially if you use a lot of dressing like I used to do. You have to give up most carbs and sugar. Go towards being carnivore if you can. Grass fed meats if you can afford it.
Eggs, beef, bacon, healthy fats like avocado or Guacamole, and butter. Avoid processed foods and seed oils.
I'm a complete weirdo and don't use dressing on salad. Been eating way less carbs and never really liked sugar (Except 1 tiny Redbull in the morning). Portion control and better food seems to be working!
@@MoneyPitBoating That's great to hear. Always hard to change your diet.
you guys should have a spare gas motor on board, like a small one just incase you get stranded when that plastic prop or shear pin snaps
Not a bad idea! Thanks for the heads up!
Keep them coming
That's the plan! Thanks for watching!
you guys should try to do a catcn clean cook next video and thanks guys hope u have a good day
Thanks for the idea! Have a great day as well!
Nice work
Thank you! Cheers!
Whats the name of that river?
It's the Mighty Clinton River in Michigan!
The ad bucks are probably rooolling in now, baby! ;-) You goofballs always make me laugh. Good job.
P.S. - Bug. Spray.
The ad bucks are slight trickle compared to what we need to survive, but we're still pushing forward. One day they will roll in and we won't have to worry!
get propeller guard
Yeah, that would help a lot. Have any recommendations?
harmless water spider. please dont kill
We won't. What makes you think it's not trying to kill us?!
as i sit here and watch videos on guys building a boat i wonder why there has yet to be a fall in the water montage.
We'd love that, but honestly, we try to be pretty careful when we're on the boat. We'd probably only have 3-5 shots, so maybe we'll do a short?
If you guys send me that old prop I’ll make you a puller… it hurts to watch.
How does one make a prop puller? Also, could you find the dimensions you need online so we don't have to spend money on shipping? We're very froogle!
@@MoneyPitBoating many different ways. Probably easiest way would be to modify a 3 jaw puller so it grabs the blades instead of trying to get it under the hub like it would normally work.
Very interesting!
You hate spiders, yet u live on the water in Michigan! The worst place for spiders ever! Leave em alone, they catch alot of mosquitoes!
Boats are worth it! I'm slowly overcoming my fear, so bear with us, and thanks for watching!
