Yay! I missed some of your spiritual enlightenments. I went through a crisis in 2019 after a devastating breakup & a dark cloud of a life.. I would go to sleep at night watching your lectures & listening to your books, & it changed my life. My family often joke there's a "before marianne josh" & an "AM Josh". Thank you sister, friend, mentor.

Fascinating discussion. I've long felt that I never lost my faith in God... but I had NO use for "organized religion". And to me, it doesn't even matter if someone considers Jesus divine or not. It's his philsophy that's important. I think it can mostly be summed up in one line, which he himself reportedly said summed up The Ten Comandments: "Treat others as you would be treated."

Loved this conversation, and I agree 100%. I have had similar experiences with Jesus. My experiences began when I was very young, as I do not recall a time not being able to hear him. I come from a very strict Catholic family, so strict that the circumstances of my birth did not meet the qualifications therefore I was excluded from the family's religious practices. So weird I too had an experience in Church, I recall being in the church for one of my Aunt's weddings, I was probably 4 or 5 years old, and the Priest was talking about Holy Matrimony, legitimacy ect. At that point I heard an almost irritated yet protective tone of voice that said "That's not true. Don't you believe that." That voice has been my saving grace countless times, in addition to the profound guidance I have come to trust from him - he got a sense of humor that I love - like suggesting the beach! LOL!

I loved this conversation. My only disappointment was that it was too short, I could have listened to you two lovely ladies talk and share all day long. What a beautiful and comforting discussion that as so often happens, appeared just when I needed it most. Thank you for this message and invitation to return to compassionate love.

I was just complaining the other day, that all the spiritual leaders are either dead or have gone commercial. This gives me hope!
There’s an old hymn called Love Lifted Me that fits with what’s happening in our world. I believe what you were saying Marianne, about insecure people being empowered by the attention they’re getting (not verbatim), and I believe that only God (love) can lift us out of our insecurities.
JMO but thank you! (and I’m glad you’re back).

It seems as though some churches concentrate on our sins and how we are bad and we will be punished. I came to Christ at 8 years old when a lady came on my porch where I was playing and ask my mom if she could take me to church. This woman taught me about Jesus and how to pray and how to be close to Jesus. She changed my life and prayer and faith at a very young age helped me to really know Jesus who I found to be loving, compassionate, forgiving and always there for me and I hadn't even read the Bible but I knew Jesus. When I started going to church I was confused because I knew God's love and forgiveness, and some Church's seem to make God out to be mad and punishing which I believe is turning people away from God and not to Him. God has have mercy on me so many times when I feel I wasn't worthy so I know how forgiving and loving He is.

Even though I'm a Catholic, I've always felt that Catholics want to keep Jesus nailed to the cross because it validates their guilt. Instead of rejoicing in the hope and love of the risen Christ, it's better to feel unworthy and ashamed that He "died for our sins." I loved this book and it was a joy watching you to discuss it. Thank you so much!

I grew up in the catholic church and went to a catholic school through 3rd grade. Above the chalkboard where normally there would be an alphabet was the phrase, “God is Love”. I remember thinking that that idea was all I needed to know so I never paid attention to the religious education. And I still hear my mother saying, “Love One Another”. So simple, so profound!

I left the iPhoneS4 on Ridgetop. It's with Rebecca's book. Handwritten. Corbin and Emily's fantasy story is in the bag. Bob, Ivan, and Chris's journal #ISS was in there as well. I left it, and did everything that was instructed of me regarding that priceless material. Talk about selfless? Those were diamonds the size of grapefruits in terms of literature appreciation and value. 1 of 1's ... That hill, was a special place for Mom & I ... It's important to me that it rests peacefully there. The iPhone account can always be uploaded to another IPhone with my AppleID.
I used to get your podcast sent to me on that phone. Miss your voice. Be safe. 💞

In the Franco Zeffirelli's film BROTHER SUN SISTER MOON - Saint Frances throws all of his father's wealth into the streets ... and then strips naked in front of the priests and speaks of the simplicity of God's love -- he then walks into the wilderness. Frances found his own church and the face of the Christ there was filled with LOVE - not the foreboding one shown in the old chuch -- it is a moment of such clarity and beauty. It had a profound impact on me. Coming from a primarily atheist home -- I felt the movement of Christ in my heart. the LIVING Christ - which is not bound to dogma but rather to service and real love toward your fellow humanity and all living species.

I love the idea of giving more love to children who may not be receiving it at home. That could help so many in their formative years. Many criminals in jail suffer from lack of love in their lives.

Thank you ladies! In my Shamanic practice, I had found a place to be in service and by extension, was to expand into the vibration and frequencies of Grace. The modality was ecstatic dance. You speak of a Petri dish and that is exactly how I described how the Auger in any experiment is infused. An example is infusing auger with Listerine then adding spit. The infused auger will not allow any gum bacteria to flourish and in that environment, gum bacteria will dissipate and die. As I dance ecstatically, my vibration changes and I effect the frequency of the field representing the Petri dish and auger. Instead of infuriating Listerine, I am infusing the frequencies within the vibration of unconditional love I view as pink. Anyone entering or present in the room, Petri dish, is subjected to an auger infused within the harmonics of love and any lower vibrations such as jealousy, resentment, judgment… pick your poison, quickly dissipates. The skill I found needing to be mastered in harmonizing a field is to not expand beyond the capacity of those vibrating closest to your vibration. As it was put to me, I am the “Bullseye” and my bandwidth expands to source. The next ring, as I expand, also expands and in turn expands the next ring out… and so on and so on. If I expand beyond the capacity of the next ring, they are unable to harmonize within and a breakdown of the harmonics occurs resulting in contraction as the farthest outer ring moves into fear and reacts. This contraction is inharmonious and the entire field breaks down, the Petri dish breaks. My 2cents

Keeping our minds focused on loving kindness, compassion
and empathy helps to keep powers and principalities at bay.
The energy created in a hateful mind/heart can and does become manifest. Evidence of Saintly lives and living Angels are given to help us keep on track.

I'm just 60% through this great conversation but need to say that both the resurgence of militia-like, so-called Christianity and it's polar opposite and the wide divergence and conflict right now between those opposites, stem from the fact that we know too much now. We see too much to continue believing in the religious forces, no matter how necessary they may been in older times, that keep us ignorant, obedient and bound. And when this happens with humans there are always those who hang on desperately to the old, because they do not yet see the new perspective and feel threatened and unsafe. It seems dead right to them to defend the old and defend it in the old way. A breakup of patterns always engenders chaos, even if it leads to more clarity and believability.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12
Walter Wink refers to the “Principalities and Powers” as the invisible spirit behind a vast network of societal structures that have fallen into a state of spiritual malaise and are stuck in an ever reinforcing cycle that prevents change.
This seems to me to be what A Course in Miracles would refer to as the ego -- but on a larger societal scale. They are the belief in and societal movements devoted to separation, violence, and injustice.

I’ve learned more about spirituality from Sam Geppi Vedic author and astrologer on TH-cam than I ever did in church. There is a higher or lower energy for each planet and it’s what we choose to do with those energies. The planets have been having conjunctions that make energies very difficult for us here on Earth.

In Genesis God warns Adam against eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Given that trees are references to ‘men of righteousness’ who has knowledge of good and evil? So, God warned us to stay away from Religion, Priests, Vicars etc and stay with personal relationship experience.of a born-again type. Thanks for this inspiring topic. Blessings to you both.

Diana mentions wisdom (in reference to much of your work Marianne); what we don't hear enough of, is the two sources of wisdom given by Jesus' brother James (3:13-18). Along with our struggle against principalities and powers, there's a wisdom that "does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic". There's a kinship amongst those who choose this wisdom; they're convinced it's the path for them. This, imo, is the source of the divisions. As Jesus said, let the weeds grow up amongst the grain; he'll sort them out at harvest time.

So many national and corporate leaders are not following the Way but are worshipping Ares the God of war. John Dominick Crossan stated that we don't want a god of love and peace as is evidenced by the crucifixion of Jesus.

Oddly enough, perhaps, it is the Eastern Orthodox who live these truths out so clearly and faithfully.
"Christ, risen from the dead, cracks the fortress of death and takes “captivity captive” (Psalm 67:19). All the limitations of our createdness are torn asunder.
Death is swallowed up in victory and life is liberated. “For as by a man came death, by a man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive” (I Corinthians 15:21-22).
Pascha (Easter) is the dawn of the new and unending day. The Resurrection constitutes the most radical and decisive deliverance of humankind. +He is risen+

"Powers and princpalities" are eagerly active to thwart Love, as if at every turn. Happens in fundamentalist religion with little kids early in life. And later as we are moved by political and social and religious movements later in life. Always, we must be on guard, and understand that the Evil One is working against the King of the Universe, haMelech ha olam, against the work of the Kindom that Jesus, Messiah to Christians, initiated some 2000 years and ago, whose Real Presence is furiously at work today in us and in the world.
"Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and on those in the tombs bestowing life."
