dont get me wrong i like this song thats why i am here listening to it. but i would still put almost every track on the first four albums above this one personally.
Yes! Although I knew lots of OMD songs I didn't ever really listen to them consciously. But this is a perfect 80s sound. The simple riffs have been in my head for a week now. Finding historic gold is always immensely satisfying.
Kids nowadays would never believe we had a ball in the 70s and 80s listening to great music like this, punk and new wave and synth music, we were fortunate to be there. Come up screaming
It was a hell of a complicated, having to walk in the rain to a phone box to make a call, or wait for the top 40 to start on a Sunday, with fingers ready on the play and record button. But at least we had 3 TV channels and they shut down at midnight and unless you were well off you didn't have a vcr in the early 80s, certainly didn't have one in my home till around 86
Yes, I was a 20 year old punker and it was 1 of the most exciting times of my life. I was the girlfriend of the lead singer of Minutemen. They hung out with Black Flag. I'm 66 now and I'm going to get a punk rock haircut tomorrow. I still wear a lot of black. Lol. And yes, my make up is still over the top. I wasn't hard core, but neither new wave. Right in the middle. So many great bands then right???

I would literally go back to the 80s in a heartbeat. Me and my best friend laying on her bed in the dark listening to OMD talking about being best friends forever.
La escuche por primera ves en un cassette a los 11, la repetía y repetía , no sabía el nombre del grupo y menos la canción… luego de 37 años la encontré por fin, nostalgia pura 🙏🏽
To all the teens of today that some how made it here. Make your own 80's today just by doing this. Be your own creative self and believe in individualism. Don't copy others or worry about impressing them. Don't call, text or email people, go see them. It doesn't matter who they are. Last and most important, find someone to love not "something" and Make sure they know it. Do this and you'll make your own 80's memories!
The eighties were a really tough time in my life. The creative and innovative music was what got me through it. OMD was one of my favorite bands from that era.
I can't repeat it enough, the 80s was the best era in the entertainment in general, but the music was so amazing. We built memories with each and every great song, and those memories are coming up every time we listen to this amazing music. I was born 1980 and got a childhood ridden with (small, but many) health issues and autism and got constantly bullied in school and at home. And yet, the 80s and early 90s I've had the most fun of my life... ok, maybe into late 90s too because I have had probably the best high school classmates in the world, and those 4 years between 1994 and 1998 have been fun, too. But after that, when I had to go to college and lose one friend after another due to relocations, marriages, etc I've got into a betting addiction combined with a depressive state that have lasted me for 12 years (2002 till 2014). I have even been close to suiciding a few times during those years when my life had been dull and all I had going for me have been video games and porn, all alone in my room for 12 years straight, including on my birthday, on Christmas, New Year and everything between these dates.... Anyway, I digressed a little, but the point is that the 80s have truly been magical, there's absolutely nothing in this world after mid-90s that can match the 80s and early 90s years when it comes to entertainment. Everything in music, movies, cartoons, fashion and people's attitude and carelessness oozed of energy, vitality, optimism and possibilities. EVERYTHING. Those lucky enough to have lived through the 80s and 90s know that that era had been special and would never trade those experiences, no matter how poor, for anything that's come after that. I mean, if I wouldn't trade those years of childhood and teenage with all of the issues I've had I'm pretty sure that others who have had it easier than me wouldn't either :)

Excelente calidad de canción. Qué hermosa canción para escuchar este año 2024. Pasan los años y esta joya de canción no deja de gustarme. Hermosa interpretación, buena instrumentación y buena melodía. Una canción muy bonita. ❤
I was 7. I'm a little envious, as it must've been the bomb to hit the club scene to this kind of music, but listening to it while growing up is still a treasured memory. I'll take it. :)
Allan Fada......Have lived a very good life and very grateful, but the 80`s was all about Music, Being young, girls, Los Angeles, great times Oh and OMD!!!!!!
+agt462 I was a teenager in 1981 about to leave school growing up in Margaret Thatchers Britain where the only joy we had was the music and our friends. As much as OMD are not too bad, my groups were Madness, The Specials, all the 1969 trojan reggae music and of course Adam and the Ants 😊
because of youtube, people still can listen and enjoy beautiful music like this which you cant get from mainstream radio now a days... piece of artwork for the ears.
One my favorite 80s band! A true time machine for a piece of my heart that still lives in 1985. Why good music like this gone from today's MTV? Thanks God there is Classic MTV! I wish I could buy myself one of these 80s keyboards.
The 80’s was the best I am happy my childhood was in that era the keyboard that was used was the Yamaha DX7 true state of the Art instrument that the 80’s used!
the music was often amazing, but the world often sucked. enjoy that the music is here for you. you couldn't pay me to rewind the years and have to do that all over again.
Well, the truth is, I'm from another dimension, a parallel universe. I came here just to hear this masterpiece, and shortly after, I will be returning from whence I came. Thanks for having me. It's been emotional. 😊🫂✨️
That 80s feeling when you first heard a new song on the radio , having to wait to hear it again until You bought it on tape or record , we had more time to appreciate music then . Pubs and clubs were awesome when you planned to meet friends they would show up when they were ready which was even better than tracking them by mobile or Tex etc it made it more special . Just playing music by record taking it out the sleeve and gently putting the needle on the record or rewinding a tape with patience. That feeling will always remain in me at the age of 56 and when you hear your children playing your fave 80s tracks you know you’ve achieved a little something in parenting I guess . Watching Top of The Pops awaiting your fave band and listening to the top 40 was so special OMD I salute you 🇬🇧 The best Synth Band ever

Brings back memories! New wave really rocks.
One of the most beautiful love song ever, proof? I still remember it after so many years!😮❤
In 1980 I was exactly 18 and so I lived the prime of my young adult life through that blessed blissful decade - I never got that lucky ever again.
I was 10 in 1980, and I got to live in London in 1985. It was a wonderful, lovely decade!
Born in 1961, feel the same way about 80s music.
I was 7. I'm a little envious, as it must've been the bomb to hit the club scene to this kind of music, but listening to it while growing up is still a treasured memory. I'll take it. :)
1980 I was only 6 years old but, I remember listening to this song through out the 80s though..
Wasnt born
A very cinematic sounding song to a very cinematic looking video.
Nothing to compare to 80's ❤
this music is from another level , the music that is made today does not come close, 80's where great !
I endose this message!
Mooi he!? Ik ben van 77. Maar de 80s horen bij mij qua muziek
The 80s produced some excellent Songwriters! What happened to them???
Put me back into the wonderful magical 80's and LEAVE ME THERE!!!
me too.......please God, when I die let me re-live the 80`s one more time....
+agt462 my thoughts exactly 😊
Allan Fada......Have lived a very good life and very grateful, but the 80`s was all about Music, Being young, girls, Los Angeles, great times Oh and OMD!!!!!!
+agt462 I was a teenager in 1981 about to leave school growing up in Margaret Thatchers Britain where the only joy we had was the music and our friends. As much as OMD are not too bad, my groups were Madness, The Specials, all the 1969 trojan reggae music and of course Adam and the Ants 😊
Can i go with you?
because of youtube, people still can listen and enjoy beautiful music like this which you cant get from mainstream radio now a days... piece of artwork for the ears.
Rey Nunez and because of mathematics TH-cam as well Facebook, LinkedIn, Google, Amazon, etc. came to existence.
There will never be another decade like the 80s. Be grateful that we experienced, embraced and adored this fantastic period of our lives!!!
All these years later, I still get the chills with this clip. Thanks!
This song so takes me back to the 80s. I was 15 years when this song hit the charts.
Diciembre 2024,jamas pensé ser feliz nuevamente a mis 50 primaveras..... Y que mejor con estas tremendas rolotas

You must carry the torch of 80s music forward as the original 80s generation ages and fades away... it is... your mission...

the 80's was the best time for growing up!
Well, the truth is, I'm from another dimension, a parallel universe. I came here just to hear this masterpiece, and shortly after, I will be returning from whence I came. Thanks for having me. It's been emotional. 😊🫂✨️
That 80s feeling when you first heard a new song on the radio , having to wait to hear it again until
You bought it on tape or record , we had more time to appreciate music then .
Cuando lo escucho solo me transporta a los ochenta. La nostalgia y recuerdos son muy intensos.
We were so lucky growing up in the 70s and 80s the music was wonderful
The music and the fashion, the world wasn't perfect but so much better. Also we knew how to socialise
80s music always puts your mind in some kind of nostalgic dream-state. No other music like it...
I thank the music gods I brought up on stuff like this... Unbelievable

These things always go wrong in The Twilight Zone and everywhere else.
Good luck trying to stay alive in 1980s Afghanistan.

So this is the title of the song that has been playing in my head! Wow! I love it and I'm mighty proud to be a growing child during the 80s! I want to go back to that time.
One of my favorite songs in 80's,, when I was DJ, I got a lot of requests for this song. God I wish I could go back that times
So appreciate that you played it! I was one who requested it all the time where I hung out and it was like pulling teeth to get the DJ to play it.
Another great band
This band really knew how to work with synthesizers...the layers of sound are so rich. Classic 80s sound!
Tanto tiempo buscándola, que feliz soy🥹
Truly , the songs of the 80' s is the best
Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - hands down the most awesome band name from the 80s !!
